Hypothetical situation- What if Wenger is sacked because of our boos? I am not supporting Wenger's lacklustre efforts in the transfer window or the team's poor performance. I'm just trying to tell you that we fans are stuck between a rock and a Shawcross slide tackle.

What would happen if Wenger decides to leave because of the boos from the crowd?

Wenger's built this entire team on his own. He knows every player in and out and has a special bond with each of them. He's got a direct connection with all the players and staff members. Now, if we fans get Wenger sacked (hypothetical, remember), I don't think they'd like us as much as they do now. I doubt they'd be willing to give back to fans who got their mentor sacked in such a fashion. What then, if they perform badly? Get rid of them and build a new team from scratch? I'd hate to see Rambo or Jack in Man City or United shirt.

But more importantly, what would the ex-players have to say? What would Tony Adams or Henry or Bergkamp have to say about that? Would Henry be willing to take over as coach if Wenger was fired because the fans booed him off the pitch match after match, season after season?

Arsene Wenger is synonymous to the club whether we like it or not. Remember, all of the players and staff are human. They'd feel the loss of the manager pretty personally.

I hate this position we're in as much as the next gooner. But I don't think sacking Wenger is the solution. And put yourselves in his zipper jacket for a moment. Do you really think he doesn't care?

I am sure he cares but he has lost it. Same sorry soft underbelly for years. He needs to go. I really don't care about qualifying for a competition in Europe that we will never win.

I'd guarantee within days of Arsene leaving (when he does) the players, one by one, will publicly start slating him for his coaching methods. They aren't going to do it while he's still here. Would be an interesting few weeks, to know exactly what the players think of it all. As most of you know, I rarely post and am more of a spectator of this site. Love it. Alas, Wenger's time is up. I've been a fan for 49 years and I'm experiencing the same indifference as I did at the end of George Graham's tenure, Terry Neill's stint and Don How's bore show. Sad I am.

MJ I don't think that would be the case, maybe one of the newer boys but really that squad love him like a father.

Most players he's had under him do, especially since the team transitioned from the Graham/Rioch players to all Wenger. You see it with the likes of Wright who has no loyalties to him but Freddie, Henry, Pires, Fab, Kolo, all love him. If any of those boys said they rejected a coaching role because Wenger is gone he'd be the first to tell them its nonsense and that they'd be good for the club.

Some recent players who aren't Wenger fans are Bendtner and Frimpong but look at where they are.

CLIMBER what I'd be worried of is how will the club function. "When wenger has a plan we back him, when he doesn't we shut up" or whatever the quote is. How does the company run if they have no one to take ques from?

Bad and all Wenger has become on matchdays he'd be a million times better than Gazidis with full reign
