I know most people are saying we need 5/ 6 top signings to compete. What positions do people on here think we need a top signing in? i can only think CB and CF. maybe a LB? is DM a priority with coq and elneny? A RW?

I think the low attendance against West Brom has finally got Arsenes and the boards attention so we will try very hard to sign a very top striker to keep the fans happy and then try to find the Mahrez Kante and Payets of next season.
Personally I think getting a very top striker very early in the window will be a big factor in us being able to keep Sanchez and Ozil for next season who can't be exactly be any more excited by the prospect of yet another season as also rans next season than we are.

For me 3/ 4 are needed.

I'm with you on the CB and CF, they are major priorities but have been for 3/ 4 years or so. Would have to add a DM as Coq is just a liability at times his long passing is hopeless and goes to ground way to easy. ( best we have currently though) . Great Squad player but not good enough if we have "ambition". plus a Right winger if funds stretch that far/ Walcott leaves.

I think we only need 1 or 2 but they must be great and leaders - maybe Zlatan or Suarez type - it will lifthte rest who are all very good but lacking inspiration (except Sanchez, Kos, ballerina/ MOnral and cexh of course) .

It depends on your expectations, as said we have some very good players but probly half are not upto winning the prem on their own, monreal, mert, ramsay, giroud, good but not great, plus a few more obvious ones. But without dredging it up again, wengers style and tactics or lack of and the way we play will not take us anywhere. Look at the way the top teams play now, its a high energy high pressing game or a tight defence and breaking. Wenger is a posession person and the way we go about it, when the pressure is on it all breaks down, always has and always will. Yes I think players can improve us but i'm sorry the teams next year and the managers coming in are streets ahead of wenger in winning top trophies. The player thing is only part of the problem. I have made statements in the past and I have not been far wrong, about giroud, mert, our league chances and champs league efforts etc. Well my statement is we will never ever win the league with wenger or the champs league, he's yesterday.

Sano I like coq elneny welbeck iwobi cazorla bellerin kochelny etc but the only players we have you can say have that X factor are cech ozil and sanchez they have won big trophies, all the others have all shown glimpses but not the temperament to produce top performances all season and in big games.

For once Steve il agree with you lol. Although I think elneny and coq are capable of winning the league as our DM's but there's no point even debating that with our CB and CF problem. One thing I do disagree with Is Ramsey I think he is still a key player for us. His work rate and energy is brilliant for me. Perhaps it's not as obvious because the other players rarely press as you say. We really could talk each other to death about where we're going wrong. Wonder if the board and Arsene talk like this lol.
