Sorry if this has already been posted or something similar to it but I felt the need to vent.

As Arsene celebrates 20 years with us, he's quite rightly getting plaudits for his longevity and loyalty to Arsenal as well as being ushered out the door at the end of the season. I'm in the 'time for change' camp and have been for some time. I love Arsene and think he's been amazing for the club but football has moved on and his methods have not. It's definitely time for fresh blood.

The issue always though is who's big enough to take on the challenge of following Arsene Wenger. Granted titles have been hard to come by and mock all you want about the 4th place trophy but who else could achieve what he has and more so who has the bottle to deal with failure, missing out on the top 4 or worse, finishing below Spurs!

Eddie Howe continues to be linked with the job and for me this is absolutely ludicrous. The man has no credentials whatsoever other than being English and the next great hope for English football managers. He wouldn't have the respect of the players or the fans and any reign would surely be short lived. This is just my view but I wanted to gauge the feelings of the rest of you.

If this is Arsene's last year, who do the fans believe should be next on the throne?

I don't know if Eddie Howe is right but wengers credentials weren't massive when he joined.

True, when Arsene joined us he wasn't a big name manager, and atm there is a real shortage of big names available.

If Diego Simeone could be swayed that would be massive, other than that my shortlist of wildcards would shock many and probably not have much chance of coming to fruition:

- Clarence Seedorf
- Patrick Viera.

Ronald Koeman would be my pick. Knows the league, did very well with Southampton and now Everton. If we could not get him, I would love to take a big chance and get Thierry Henry in. Talks a lot of sense in his pundits role and loves the club inside out.

What do you guys think?

{Ed025's Note - i think you should keep your bloody grubby hands off koeman jim.. :)

lol ed. Think he is severely underrated and would do a fantastic job whichever club he was at.

{Ed025's Note - eddie howe will be fine for you jim with arsene as his mentor when he moves upstairs..but thats just my guess mate..

Ed 025 wenger shouldn't be anywhere near the next manager when he comes in. If he needs guidance he ain't good enough. Clean slate for me. New era.

{Ed025's Note - i think he could be a great mentor to a guy like eddie howe if he got the gig steve, he could be the buffer between the manager and the board that an inexperienced manager might need, to me arsene will always have legendary status at arsenal and still has something to offer, i know some might not agree and may see him interfering in that role and im not sure he would accept the position anyway mate..
