Well fellow Gunners, with the Community Shield looming and the start of the season seemingly imminent I am intrigued to know everybody's predictions for where we will end up. Of course predicting the position is extremely difficult and our summer dealings (ins and outs) may not be completed, but the time has approached. For me, I feel we will finish 4th this season, with the reasoning we have improved our attack but at the moment have large holes in CM and CB (imo) . I feel Man City, Chelsea and Spurs will be above us with Man Utd and Liverpool also in and around there. Any other predictions?

{Ed025's Note - 5th or 6th for me lucas, just not enough for me mate at the moment but that could change if a couple of new faces are introduced..

Keep Sanchez, get 2 more new faces, Lacazette hits the ground running, I think we could challenge for the top spot.

I have to agree with dags, keep sanchez and matuidi and lemar or even mahriz and we are up there in the mix.

Agree with Ed025 100% and if it was possible more than that.
Top 4 seems like a really big ask and beyond out current potential while top spot is as likely as England winning the world cup and euro 2020 double and the chuckle brothers replacing Ant and Dec on Britain's got talent :-)

I don't think any additions to the attack are needed. Just more steel. The likes of Matuidi would be very welcome. If we were to have him perhaps top 3.
Would rather a disciplined dmf like him and a strong season to convince Sanchez to stay for the foreseeable.
Praying to god Man City are given an embargo due to dodgy financial or player touching up.
In saying that he's still the best player we've had since the invincibles era just for work rate alone. and huff ability.

I really feel we should be going for van dyke. Exactly what we need. dominant in the air. scores from corners and set plays. ball playing centre half. tall and young enough still. can spray long passes with accuracy. takes a mean long distance free kick. With mert and kos ageing we are an injury or 2 away from chaos at the back again. Imagine facing any of the top 6 or 7 teams with the likes of elneny or maitland in a back 3. It would be laughable and a definite loss each time. We need 6 centre backs to play this system not the square pegs in round holes we have seen pre season. Those are the type of signings that help you challenge for major trophies.
