Three players move away from the club, with only one sold, Toral to Hull. Of the other two Jenkinson is another failed attempt to sell a player and Bramall will get much needed game time. Wat worried me about Bramall is that his first touch is lacking and that is essential at a PL club.
The last 10 days of the window will see if we can successfully move on the players we wish to and hopefully sign a CB and a proper DM player we urgently require. We also need to sort out the contract rebels, we can't seriously let £130m ish disappear over the season. I have a feeling we might have a chance of keeping Ox by giving him the wages he wants. Considering invisible Walcott is already on such wages, I see little problem and Ozil will probably stay as I can't see anyone buying him! I can't envisage Sanchez staying nor will. We make the two signings mentioned above. We may bring in a replacement for Sanchez.

10 days? Loads of time for loads of activity to happen both ways yet.
I'd be very surprised if Sanchez plays for Arsenal again.
I know Arsene is talking about him playing at Liverpool Sunday but personally I think it's nothing but talk, time will tell and not long to wait now.

I am with you g62 i don't think Sanchez will be staying deadline day deal as i have already said. What we have seen so far will only further enhance Sanchez view that he needs to be at a club that will challenge for the 2 major honours that we do not get anyway near winning. The thing is we have 3 major problems
Firstly a manager who has signed 2 year contract extension and unless we are on the verge of relegation will the board act and the second problem is the pay structure that hamstrungs in moving average players on and thirdly is Arsene playing players out of position in a formation that should suit us.

Hi Gunner62, hopefully 10 days is sufficient time for us to sell the players we need to move on and acquire the players we need to bring in, although as I have said, other than a replacement for Sanchez, I can't see any other signings. I hope I am wrong. The injury to Sanchez is clearly a ploy to increase his sale price whilst seeing how we cope without him. I doubt he will play against Liverpool, although he may be on the bench. Wenger has already stated that we mustn't expect Sanchez to be at his best and his language in respect of selling him has subtly altered. I believe that we wil try again to sign Lemar as a replacement.
My guess would be that we sell Sanchez to City for between £50-70m and bring in Lemar somewhere in the same region.
This will leave us short defensively having sold Gabriel, but I believe Wenger intends using the 3 experienced CB's, Meretsacker, Koscielny and Mustafi as first choices, with Holding as back up. He will also use Monreal and Kolasinac as cover. I am not at all sure about Chambers as he wasnt considered against Stoke, we tried to sell him to Palace and if a decent offer comes in I believe we will sell him. This in effect means that for 5 defensive positions, 2 WB's and 3 CB's, we will have 9 players including Ox who may depart and isn't really suited to the WB role. I would rather see him play in an attacking role, if we are able to retain him. The other defensive option is Maitland-Niles, but I don't believe he is ready, nor Bielik who wasnt considered for the squad even when we down to the bare bones in respect of CB's against Leicester.

Hi lads predicting what Arsene will or won't do is about as simple as predicting the lottery numbers, its anyone's guess right now.
I wouldn't be surprised if he signed no one else or a couple of big names or another Perez Elney type player or two.
We all have our ideas of what he should do but in reality they count for absolutely nothing.
Heybridge mate when Arsene signed his new contract we all knew the odds on anything changing significantly over the 2 years were extremely long and those odds remain unchanged I think accepting things for what they are for the time being is the way forward and in a couple of years time it might be a different story, but until then bring on the Europa league as atleast that's something different for us to enjoy.
