Well done eddie the eagle. Saved a few first teamer blushes.

I watched the game and it was a great little cameo and to be fair up until our equaliser Norwich would have deen deserved winners, the had chances to go 2,3 or 4 up playing on the counter.

There were some pretty poor performances all round to be honest, Giroud, Walcott, Elneny were bad, Jack didn’t do much, Coquelin for a DM was turning up all over the pitch.

Was a little disappointed in Holding again but thought Debuchy had a pretty good game.

Watching all these young guns, they all seem to be speed merchants, Nketiah probably the quickest, he played one long pass beyond the Norwich defence, left them for dead and smashed a shot in from an angle for what would have been his hatrick but the keeper made a good save.

Let’s hope a few push on, the next round should be a bigger test for them.

Our answer to Marcus Rashford I ask you?

It’s a time thing 62, don’t rush him and don’t put expectations onto him, would be lovely if he made it but let’s wait and see. 😁.

gunner62 - give over, the lad has one game and your comparing him to the mighty rashford? no doubt the kid looks special but perhaps a little too soon to predict how good he can be. let's face it he could turn out to be the next sanogo.

Whiskey when Rushford bust on the scene out of no where none of us thought it would continue and he was highly likely just a kid who had a good day, obviously it's exactly the same for this lad too.
I get and totally agree with what both yourself and Stoner are saying my post was in hopeful possiblity rather than making a rash prediction based on a cameo role in the Cowabunga cup.

62 I didn’t think you were over egging him for a minute mate as like me you’re not a fan of that.

United fans on the other hand have announced the new messiah on countless occasions only to be disappointed. They really can’t help themselves. 😉.

fair play gunner62, if he pushes on how rashford has he can reach great levels, hopefully for country too. If he has a level head on him like young Marcus then there's no reason why he can't become a great little player.

Not saying he is or isn't it but arsenal fans need an home grown superstar striker.

Rumblings from the club and people around him is that he is strongly fancied to make it.

G62, for every Rashford there’s a hundred Ravel Morrison’s.

Chelsea actually released him when he was 14. It would be great to think one of Nketiah, Nelson, Maitland-Niles or the likes of Da Silva or Willock could actually make it.

The last real youngsters from the UK I remember really making it when as young as these guys were the likes of Rooney and Owen. Both burst onto the scene and never looked back.

Any others I’ve missed and I’m talking 17 and 18yr olds?

Stoner, agreed. Could a good manager help these lads in the future, including rene Adelaide and a few others to fulfill their potential. They need proper guidance and fixed positions to learn. That for me is also why we missed a trick this summer. Still they should still all be here in 18 months, not slowly being drip fed away and out of football.
