There seems to be some disgruntled fans on the page regarding the transfer window. The bottom line is our cracks our so deep that one transfer window won't solve any of it.

I'm hearing we should bought a defender, we should've bought a midfielder. That's where the problem lies, over the last few seasons we have been buying random players. Yes there are players out there better than xhaka and mustafi but are they better than our rivals. Our problem isn't that we don't sign players is that we sign mediocre players and hope they are good. I rather we sign top top players that don't need replacing every window and if that means signing no one and waiting for the right players then so be it. We can't keep signing these random players just because 'we have money in the bank'

On a positive note I'm thrilled with the signing of aubuymeang. We finally went out there and bought one of the best strikers in the world. He's probably the closest thing we will get to henry.

I'm sad to see Walcott and giroud go. But they were part of the problem. Yes they had really good moments but they were also inconsistent. Inconsistent players = inconsistent form. Over the last few years it was enough to get top 4 but with Liverpool and Tottenham recent emergence it just won't cut it anymore. I always had a soft spot for giroud and always defended him. When he was in poor form or comming of the bench he always gave his best. Can't fault the guy and good luck to him.

The season is a right off but with the clear out and signing of aubuymeang maybe we are getting the change we always wanted. Might take a few years to get to the top again but the premier league is so competitive and we have fallen behind so much it could be another few hard years. With all the great things klopp and pochetino has done, they are no where near in winning a title.

On Wenger, obviously he gets all the flack as usual, but the bottom line is it was the board that offered him a new contract. If the board thought he was the right man to takes us forward, will the board replace him adequately? Or would they just go for another puppet that's happy to take all the critism? Yes Wenger time is up but he's only some of the problem. He has a job because he allows the board to operate at a profit without putting pressure on them. I think we have to let go of this myth that Wenger runs the club from top to bottom and its solely him that's the problem.

Good points, but our failure to sign anyone is not based upon waiting for the better players to be available. If that were so we wouldn't be wading in with silly bids for Evans, or trying to prise the Roma defender away at the last minute. Going after the 'right' players, demands research, planning, and decisive action, something we by and large seem incapable of.

Final two paragraphs. Spot on.
