If we make the right signing - could Granit still hold a position in CM under Emery?

If we add that necessary pace to our counter attacking side with a quality winger - is there room for Ozil and Rambo

I struggle to see both in the same side unless Rambo adopts a more forward role in the front three or gains more discipline as part of a defensive CM. Issue if Rambo dies either is - he's not a winger or a CDM. But if we drop him, who will score the goals outside of PEA and may be Nacho in the starting 11 as no one else really chips in with goals.

IMO Granit is not as good a cmf as some already in the side and there’s a whole list better at dmf. If emery plays 4-2-3-1 if the right dmf (javi Martinez) was played alongside Ramsey in the two infrin of the four then you could get ozil in there with him. For me we need a new winger. Auba up front ozil and miki with Malcom, fekir or date I say Dembele then the mid on will look good with a decent bench. Add lichenstiener, Leno, Sokratis with javi martinez and things look really good. Been greedy and add Thiago then we have a great bench as well with Aron, jack, elneny and xhaka.

We need a beast of a DM to build around, a good solid back 4 a beast then add the frilly bits that make people cheer and get excited :-)

Xhaka is not good enough to hold midfield, he isn't commanding to put it mildly and shirks responsibility. I think our new manager will blend the team, rather than fit his favourite or best players in. Ramsey and ozil may or may not play together but that will be for the manager to work out. I suppose it will depend on who we get in, in the long run.

I'm happy with what ever choses to do because that's his job, to make decisions he thinks are right for us.
If he plays both Ramsey and Ozil I really hope it works out well and if he trys it and things don't go so well at least he will know it's a no go, the only thing that would get to me is if we were still trying to make them gel in 3 years time, I'm all for giving things a try as long as it doesn't become an obcesion.
Personally I would have one or the other but I'm very open to being proved wrong.

I agree with Steve, Xhaka is the player who has to give way. Neither good enough where he is, nor to replace any of the options forward of his position.
