Take Bellerin and xhaka out of those two games and we don't have 0 points. Both pathetic.

If Xhaka plays v West ham then I fail to see where we are going under Dick.
The last two games won't decide our season but keep playing players who don't turn up will from now until May.
Why Xhaka and not Elneny until Torreira is ready to start is beyond me.

i think Xhaka has already lost his position. my worry is the defence. Sincerely both sokratis and mustafi are shocking. i wouldn't mind playing the greek kid.

For me it is too early to form a critical opinion of Emery. There were positives today in that we created chances albeit against a poor Chelsea defence. Emery’s ability to make changes when things were not going right were encouraging as AW seldom did this. We need Torreira match fit and starting alongside Guendouzi asap.
Defensively we are as poor as last season. The lack of pace in the center is concerning and especially when playing a high line like they did today. Mustafi is dominated far too easily and is positionally very poor. Again we are very exposed down our right side. Bellerin and Mkhitaryan are defensively weak and worse together. I would rather see Lichtsteiner start and first and foremost help make us a better defensive unit. We have not addressed our central defence and this needs to be a priority in January unless Mavropanos has stepped up and Kos comes back 3 yrs younger. Hopefully when Torreira is starting regularly he helps provide some extra cover for the back 4 and allows the attacking 4 or 5 to do their stuff.

So - why did Emery have us playing such a high line and Sokratis is his signing. Very slow brut if you ask me. He could and should have signed more players.

He is also insisting Cech plays from the back - disaster.
