Pleased to see us win, keep a clean sheet, play some promising youngsters, witness Koscielny's return, and extend the unbeaten run to 22 matches.

It was good to see, despite the match being meaningless, Emery enthusiastically orchestrating the team from the touchline on a bitterly cold night.

As a loyal Arsenal fan I fail to understand why 58,000 seats are sold and yet only 21,000 fans turn up.

It will be interesting to see how we line up on Sunday with so many CB's out. Koscileny may well start, possibly alongside Monreal or would it give us greater defensive security if we played Lichtsteiner, Koscielny and Monreal in a 3 man defence?

It looks like Dick is happy playing with 3 at the back and I think saints will be difficult to beat in the first home game under a new manager so it's important to be at our strongest possible.
22 games unbeaten is brilliant but it's the 14 unbeaten in the premier league that really matters, 14 down 35 to go then, or am I getting just a tad ahead of myself there :-)

No I’m a little confused, is Mustafi injured or suspended?
Also with kos, licht and monreal I think they can put a decent shift to cover against Southampton.

I think he's both Moe mate, a win is required to keep pace with the top 4 chasers and of course put distance between us and other top 5 hopefuls.
It would be nice to achieve it with a glowing display but a wins a win and however it comes is fine by me :-)

Yes, Mustafi is definitely suspended and suffered an injury, although I read somewhere that the injury isn't too serious and he should return soon.
What intrigues me is that Mavropanos has been out with a groin injury since August and that we are looking to sign a CB in January.
By January, fitness permitting we should have Mustafi, Sokratis, Koscielny and Mavropanos who reportedly resumes training this month. Perhaps we are going to be playing 3 at the back more often, which means we need at least 5 options.
