Not great today, xhaka, what can i say, why did we get lumbered with that pile of cow shizzle. Something not right up top today, auba and lacca not on it and iwobi, well just not good enough. The front two just weren't on the case today, chance was there to do something but they weren't sharpe enough or hungry enough. Every player seemed to be playing within themselves today, with the exception of Socratis and Gouendouzi. Not enough urgency.

what are in earth are u talking about? Stop scapegoating Iwobi, he was our best player on the field and gave 100%. Aubameyang and Laca were awful today, sometimes you can blame them you know?

DG, what did he do? How many goals did he score? how many chances did he create? Not good enough. How long has he been an attacker for arsenal ans what doesxhe actually acieve. He is there to make and score goals and they are like rocking horse rubbish!

And D G i did blame them if you read.

DG, can't deny he gave 100% but that's not always enough. The guy isn't good enough, he doesn't produce.

PEA has been poor for a while - terrible at one on ones while getting deflected goals and off the shin goals to cover up his poor lazy ass performances. He’s bloody lazy - makes Ozil look like a work horse.

Steve, it was embarrassing today and he hasn’t made enough changes / progress. He would be sacked if st Chelsea or Utd or City.

Defence - too easily beaten with simple balls over the top. Any idiot can see this but between Bold and Emery - nothing has changed.
Attack looks blunt.
So we are worse in attack and just as bad in defence. The Hammers strolled to an easy win. Board need to kick his ass, set expectations, take a hit on some poor players and invest in youth with a tactical coach.

I have my doubts about the combination of Emery and the Club - but early to tell but I’m entitled to make a judgement on our “progress”.

We seemed to slow out of defence.

While I respect everyone opinion, for me, iwobi on the whole gave a performance above everyone else that are supposed to be game changers. Yes, he might not of scored and misplaced couple of chances, but he never stopped. He showed, tracked back, and ran at the hammers while a lot of others passed sideways. He isn't and won't ever be a world beater, but I'll accept his commitment over others that couldn't even spell the word. He has more average games than best games, but always gives it best. Give me another 10 in an arsenal shirt. 6mths into dicks reign, most wanted change, for those that wanted it, you got it, so please give it time. One/ two transfer windows won't solve everything. We wanted spirit and fight. well we're showing that more than in previous seasons, now we'll hopefully dabble with the personnel. Lots of worse rubbish going on than a traditional period at a club. Perspective 👍
You're all legends and entitled to your opinion tho. coyg.

Who keeps picking Xhaka and Iwobi Steve? It's not Arsene now he left last season, it's up to Dick who he picks but equally he takes the applause or the stick for the team ye sends out.
Arsene fans kept blaming the naughty stadium for all Arsenes mistakes it's no good just swapping management for different excuses.
Dick did not buy Xhaka but he has stated him each and every game this season as did Arsene before Dick.
No one is forcing Dicks team selection on him it's his choice so win lose or draw he's responsible just like all other managers are.

Spot on g62. End of the day, sitting on a sofa, we're all best managers in the world. We might not agree, but opinions are brilliant for different views. I'd much rather be where we are as a club, than utd's when fergie left. Ask me again this time next year and might change.

Yes agree gunner but the alternative to xhaka is al ninny and with myki out and ozil ostracized, that's probably why Dicks looking for a wide player, creator. Like we say it will take a couple more windows to mould out the overated under producers.

{Ed001's Note - you have Maitland-Niles, Torreira, Guendouzi and Ramsey all capable of playing there as well as Elneny. Why are you so full of excuses for Emery? He is the one failing to coach defensive organisation, as he has done throughout his career. It is not because of Xhaka, it is because you have been sold a pup in Emery.}

Steve mate its got to be said many of the things you me and others criticised Arsene for are being repeated by Dick, I don't want it to be that way and I really want Dick to be the one but we need to be honest and realistic with ourselves and accept what is rather than make the same mistake those who simply refused to see Arsenes faults made with Dick, I do think you are being to generous to a Dick mate.

16.) 12 Jan 2019
12 Jan 2019 18:43:52
Ed, well said. Any FWitt that joins the club should realise we need to sort defence and centre midfield is a muppet. His tactics from day 1 have been questionable and still are. He should be held close to the flames and sort this team out. It’s worse now than before. No worries excuses and 3 windows in BS - he should have made more changes day 1 and sorted the defence.

17.) 12 Jan 2019
12 Jan 2019 18:49:21
Ultimately Ed, yes he is responsible for the coaching but he isn't yet working with his wholey chosen defence yet. His record at all his previous clubs with the exception of spartak was that he usually improved that team in all departments and won trophies. Time is the secret not that he isn't capable.

{Ed001's Note - that is not true. His record at all his clubs showed his teams to be disorganised defensively and the coaching was uninspiring. What he does bring is an almost obsessive attention to detail when it comes to preparation via videos etc.

As for working with his chosen defence, that is no excuse for not improving the level of organisation. Just look at Brighton, their centre halves are crap but they are well organised and so don't look out of place in the top flight, despite Duffy being barely League 1 level.}

That's the thing about being an exceptional coach/ manager it's not what players you have but what you get our of them.
Mourinho and Ole have the same players at United, no I'm not saying Ole is suddenly a top manager just saying the difference a manager can have or not as the case may be.

We don't have the billions to compensate ability so we need someone who can organise and motivated less than world class playera to a very high standard, so far that is just so not what Dick is doing.
He doesn't have a decade of service plus invincibles or a shiny stadium to hide behind so he will very soon be under real pressure from all angles unless he gives people something more than we had already had enough of before he got here.

12 Jan 2019 19:21:03
What you mean someone who accepts the conditions under which he took the job in the first place mate?
Didn't you run your own business Welsh mate? What did you expect from the people you employed
A. To do the job you hired them to do and which they freely accepted.
B. Argue with you and completely forget about what you and them agreed at the interview.
Come on mate give things a chance.

You have changed your tune in 24hrs G62 😂.

Emery wasn’t out first choice or mine personally don’t think he’s good enough,

21.) 12 Jan 2019
12 Jan 2019 20:03:30
Not quite the same thing Sanogo mate :-) , that was on the subject of Dick being another yes man not his ability to improve us or not as it turns out.
I stand by the fact that Dick took the job freely under the conditions agreed between him and the club, it's no good him coming to Arsenal and then complaining he doesn't have man city players or funds.
The fact is most of us who wanted change wanted change for a different approach especially defensively not simply a change of face which so far is all we seem to have got.
