Not too disappointed regarding the result last night. Think we can take the positive of being the better team, united caught us 3 times on the counter. Here’s hoping Sokratis and Koscileny’s injuries are both minor, as we can’t afford to lose either at the minute. What do you guys reckon all guns blazing for 4th or Europa? I think Emery really needs priorities one. As we will fall 6 behind Chelsea and 3 behind United when we play City nect weekend, unless Emery can steal some points from the Etihad.

Socratis and Kos are vital to any form of success this season, no one else available is anywhere near good enough.

Mate, you had more possession but shots on target were the same so it depends how you view ‘being the better team’. As for your prospects, you started th season really well but seem to have lost all momentum. Right now, I would back United to finish in the top 4, not convinced Spurs won’t have a dip so that would leave 1place for you, Chelsea, or Spurs.

Europa is the way to go, raise yourself for those games, if you win it it’s a trophy and entry into the Champiosn League. It will be interesting t see if Emery prioritises which is what we did 2 years ago.

In reality you were the better team AJH simply because you got your game plan right and we didn't.
Until we get solid at the back again we will always come up short, I can't remember any team ever winning the league and being poor at the back, not all title winners were excellent at the back but all could hold their own when they had too.
It's no coincidence we've been poor at the back for a decade and not challenged for a title for the same amount of time.
Last night's game was pretty much par for the course, I remember LVG coming to the Emirates with a united team that had 1 fit defender and winning because you simply packed your defence and hit us on the break as per usual.
There is a difference between being the prettiest team and the better team.

We are too easily sliced open by a simple pass and limited cover at the back. Why can’t we coach that very simple discipline. Please sort out the issue as we can’t win anything if we concede sloppy easy goals. The opposition know they can always score against us. It’s been the case all season with no improvement. Utd’s second goal was a perfect example of that.

Football is not about being the better or worse team, its about winning. It doesn't matter how good or unfortunate arsenal were or how good or fortunate utd were. Utd won! For me i just wonder what utd are learning from the ogs tennure, they are eakinng out results and every result they get it ollies job. For us the faults are laid bare and we are suffering at the moment. Both teams have different prioties going forwards. For next season i'm hopeful we can get back to challenging for top four, for utd, they also can but utd are a million miles from a genuine challenge for a prem title and so are we.

A million miles is a bit harsh steve, City and Liverpool are setting a standard we both need to get to but sometimes it’s only a couple of players. Liverpool were a good team but a goalie and a CB has made them a great team. As for a City, Pep is very intense and usually by year 3 the players are starting to burn out, it will be interesting to see if he sticks around.

I think United have a lot of options going forward but are light at the back, DDG saves us so many points. A top class CB, a right full back and a CM will do for me, as well as Pogba and the clu deciding if he is staying. As for OGS, I wrinkled my nose when we appointed him but he’s been a revelation. 8 wins in a row, happy and positive unlike Voldemort, mature, sensible and enjoying the ride, and he’s one of our own.

I like Emery, I think he needs time and some cash. He seemed genuinely delighted to be appointed and he plays the game the right way. His approach to Ozil and Ramsey shows he’s ready to make changes but it takes time.

We’ve both fallen a long way since Pizza gate haven’t we?

I think citeh and liverpool at the moment are playing football at a different level than the rest. Pep and klopp are by far the best matched teams and managers in the prem. The only thing utd are doing at the moment is proving that the players are in control of that club and like chelski, that's a bit worrying. Why are they all of a sudden on an 8 hame run, when a few months ago, they were sulking? Things can change very quickly but pep and klopp are way ahead at the moment. Liverpool and citeh are well into their plans and construction, the rest are still asking more questions tham getting answers.

We were the better team by controlling the game, you had 3 chances on the break and scored with all 3, yeah you were more clinacal than us. But I believe over the 90 we were the better team. Completely agree though AJH we are desperate for investment and i just hope Emery is really up for it, he has 2 fights on his hand, one with Donkey Kroenke and the other with the players. And Steve Liverpool and City are both beatable in the way they play, i wouldn’t say were a million miles away either and we could possibly make 3/ 4 and be right up there against them.

AJH,

I recall being told how bad we were when 16pts behind you in 4th when you were top and now you sit in that exact same spot.

Fighting for 4th as we did and only a few players from being great, as we always were. You’re sounding like an Arsenal fan.

Don’t you honestly see how bad you are, don’t you look at your squad across the board and think I honestly wouldn’t want any of them, if for example you followed City.

I truly look at De Gea and the potential of Rashford and then where do you really go, would either of them make the City or Liverpool 1st team under Klopp or Guardiola.

Then what about the rest, I still don’t see why Pogba gets raved about for highlight reel stuff in a game. So many other sides just walk through him in your midfield.

I’m not saying we are the bees knees but you spent an absolute fortune to have mostly squad players. I thought Shaw may have stepped up but he’s just a fat lad.

I’m not going to reel off names but some of the dross is still there from Fergies days. You just look a shadow of your former selves as we do.

Stoner, to sure how often you watch us but sine Jose went the team has been transformed. Yes we need strengthening but there’s a bunch of players who look 10 times better than they did. We can argue whose fault that is but it’s up to the Manager to get the best out of his players which is what we are starting to see.

Would Park have got into other teams, Wes Brown, John OShea, Darren Fletcher, Tom Cleverly. I could go on, it’s not about a team of stellar names, it’s about creating a team that works. Right now I wouldn’t swap Rashford, Martial, Lingard, Pogba, Herrera, Lindelof, Shaw, DDG. I’d promote some youngsters and buy a CB, RB, and CM. I’d sell Sanchez, Lukaku, and a number of other squad players and try and replace them with much better quality (easier said than done) ,

I think you’re too harsh, both about us and Arsenal. United finished above Liverpool last year, Liverpool sign a Gk and a CB and suddenly they like they look like Champions. The right Manager, tactics, preach, with 3/ 4 quality signings and we will be both be moving up.

You need to lighten up, sounds like you’ve given up.

AJH,

Not sure if you’ll read this now but your Liverpool example doesn’t hold water mate.

You have to look at the emergence of Robertson, Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez, Fabinho and that they already had that fabulous front 3.

You don’t have near to that quality mate, Van Dyjk and Alison were the final pieces.

You have way way more to do before you get close to another title.
