Although I'm no longer a huge fan of Ozil, but I would start him against Bate on Thursday, as his creativity may be useful in breaking Bate down. I would also like to see Suarez start. Thoughts .

When we had Ozil and Giroud we were crying out for better strikers for him to feed, now we have Aubameyang and Lacazette we have a clueless manager with no idea how to combine the 3. It’s almost criminal.

Emery is embarrassingly inept. Our defending is abysmal even with a fantastic little DM. That we got rid of Mislintat and kept this joker is unforgivable.

We have actually gone backwards in my opinion and backing this halfwit is a serious waste of time.

I don’t want him back but I actually think Wenger would be doing better with this squad.

Only a media story so extremely possible it's not true at all but I read in a gossip round up this morning that Mesut is in Turkey for a few days due to not being included in our europa league squad this week.
As said it's probably totally unfounded but if it was to turn out to be true then it really would be crazy management in the extreme.

Much as I expected, some fans are turning on Emery in his first season as manager. He was left a weak squad, and a team that finished 6th last season. We are currently in 5th place, a single point off a top four place. We have 5 more points this season than we did after 26 PL matches last season.
I believe that a decsion was made, for financial or other reasons to do our transfer business in the summer window, when the wages of Ramsey, Welbeck and probably others will be freed up and players moved on, bringing in much needed funds.
It has been a difficult season for Emery, as he had to bed in new players, whilst 3 players suffered season-ending injuries in a squad that was already short both in quality and numerically. We could well end this month in 4th place and in the last 16 of the EL, in one of the most competitive PL's I have witnessed, with 6 teams all vying for a top four place. With the other 5 teams entering a busy period, with CL, FA Cup and League Cup ties to play, we could possibly benefit and secure an outside chance of a top four spot.

G62 - You do amuse me. I rarely, if ever, comment on what you say as little makes any sense and the purpose of posting on sites such as this is not to make personal comments, but to be constructive. If you don't appreciate my comments then simply ignore them. Clearly some people do appreciate what I say, as the positive thumbs often indicate. I for one never issue a negative thumb as I don't wish to deter people from making comments, even if they are idiotic in the extreme.

Spot on 62 mate, what a loser way of thinking. What weak squad, in fact this squad is a lot better than last year, we added a CD and DM and we still get exposed right left and centre. There is a reason to where we are at moment? A lucky winning run amd our rivals were as shyt as we. We are 10 points behind spurs and we were 10 points ahead of United and they over took us with the same squad.

I'm yet to hear one person come up with anything tangible Dick has done that we can all say " yes that is better than the past " Moe, it's all blaming the past for our current failings in formation tactics and 2018/ 19 performances.
I hear people say when Dick gets his own players we will see him at his best but how do they know that? How can anyone know that? It's all just wishful thinking rather than based on anything we've witnessed so far.
I'm not saying new players definitely won't improve us but if Dick really is a better manager than Arsene was in his last 5 seasons why aren't we seeing better performances and real tangible improvement on what Arsene could manage to get from this squad minus Torreira Guendouzi Papa of course?
The reality is so far Dick is proving to be no better no worse than Arsene and the only reason we are one point adrift of 4th place is because of Jose falling out with his players who finished runners up last season, since Olie took on United they have gone from 8 points behind to 1 point ahead of us and are looking like a different team with their new manager, if only we could say the same of Dick and Arsenal.

On Dick I think both him and Sari should be treated equally and if Sari has to prove himself at Chelsea by showing he knows what he's doing why we shouldn't make Dick an acception to the rules by which other top clubs assess.
As for RG, he'd be far better off being himself mate
I've seen people pretend to be something their not to make themselves popular but RG is the first person I've seen make himself unpopular by pretending to be something he's not :-)

He’s done nothing to show he can challenge for a title anywhere in his career with the exception of winning with PSG which is on a par the Celtic winning their league. My auntie could do that.

Hi Welsh I totally respect everyone's right to an opinion but I reserve the right to disagree with it and when I doubt someone's credibility or motives I not usually shy in saying so.
I respect SY very much because even though we didagee on many many things like his drinking wine and voting Tory the bloke says what he truly feels and not what he thinks will annoy others or get him attention and I admire that in anyone even if I don't agree with their opinion on everything.

I'm obviously not expecting miracles in Emery's first season, but for a man interviewed armed with dossiers on every player, he's definitely failing at getting better results out of these players. Change for the sake of change is pointless. Change that brings about enhancements is what I'm looking to see.
