Its got to be said, Ajax are a revelation this year in the champs league, not just because tonight (and the score may change) but some of their performances have been breathtaking.

They've always run a club the right way and play football the right way steve, people also forget they've won the European cup 4 times and its the usual goodnight for us. I can't wait for the summer to come no spurs to depress the raver as I will be lying on the beaches in Thailand with a nice reefer and lots of senoritas after the ravers ripped torso 😎.

Totally agree Akie, money helps but it really isn't everything.
I remember the Barcelona team that beat us in the champions league final and some of the players in thier team who had been rejected elsewhere.
It's about buying clever organisation and motivation every bit as much if not more than money.

Some of Ajaz's football in the first half in particular was outstanding. Dutch football during my youth was my favourite to watch and Cruyff was my idol. I loved the Ajax home shirt as it reminded me of an Arsenal shirt. Two of my favourite alltime Arsenal players were Bergkamp and Overmars, both products of Ajax's amazing youth set up.
Reports suggest that we are interested in Ajax's left back, Tagliafico. Was it just me, but did he look a little lightweight for the Premier League?

Ajacks have indeed produced some fantastic talent over the years, didn't Kilvert David's and Sedoff and co all come through in the same youth team that went on to be champions of Europe? Or has time caused me to become confused about that :-)

Gunner, I remember that team, Kluivert, Seedorf, Davids, Van der Sar, Litmanen, de Boer beothers and good old Blind in defence. I hope they will go all the way this year.

They've always been Ajacks to me, it's what everyone in the 70s called them before we went all cosmopolitan and started letting other countries tell us how to pronounce things properly :-) , just because it was their language and their country :-)
Just because they're a Dutch club doesn't mean the Ducth people know what they're called anymore than we do :-)

Quite agree g62, they should also quit moaning when we refer to the whole place as Holland, bunch of snowflakes.

I went to Holland in my mountain climbing days but it all went flat really.
