We should sign Clyne, 10 million and hood cover andvknies the league.

{Ed001's Note - yes please take him!}

I am not at all sure Clyne is the answer, but our need for a pair of full backs is clear. Tierney is a good option at left back, but none of our three right backs fill me with optimism. Bellerin is decent offensively, but clueless defensively, the same goes for Maitland-Niles. Whilst it is a joke that the utterly useless Jenkinson is still at the club and on 40 grand a week!
Suggestions on a quality RB that would be available at sensible cost would be interesting.

I don't think Belerin is bad defensively at all, despite so often being a furthest player forward he's also quite often the last man at the Back defending too, he just can't possibly do both at exactly the same time.
Put Belerin in a decent team with a decent defence and you'd be asking why we ever let him go, when he first came on the scene he was a sensation but now he's expected to switch from attacking winger to fullback in 2 seconds flat then back again 2 seconds later it's impossible.

Agree Gunner, I was suggesting Clyne as back up not a replacement.

Cheers Spanner mate, I think Hector gets way too much stick much like Ramsey used to before his 2013/ 14 wonder season.

Bellerin arrived as a winger from Barcelona and was transformed into a wing back or attacking right back by Wenger. To anyone that has played football to a decent level, it is clear that he lacks defensive qualities. His defensive positional sense is poor, as is his tackling. The same goes for Ainsley Maitland-Niles,
Examples of all round quality modern style full backs are the superb Liverpool pairing of Robertson and Trent-Arnold. Ashley Cole and Dani Alves were as good as it gets at full back as was the awesome Roberto Carlos.
Tierney would be a decent signing at left-back, as he has the allround qualities needed. Perhaps Munier from PSG would be a suitable RB for us.

What is football at a decent level Arg?
Would that be the premier league level as Tony Adams or much lower level like Mourinho and Arsene Arg.
Speaking of levels you wouldn't happened to have managed at a very high level yourself would you Arg?

I've only just twigged Paddy, ARG stands for Alias RG, I'm a bit slow on the uptake sometimes mate :-)
It was the usaul silly attempt to sound superior that finally made the penny drop :-)

ARG's previous post seemed on par with everyone else up to yesterday but today the mask slipped RG broke free and gave all us peasents a footballing lesson.

Totally agree Paddy, Just goes to show if he drops all the fantasy ego rubbish stuff he can get along with everyone else just fine, regardless whether we agree on individual issues or not.

I really hadn't realised before Moe I actually thought Arg was a new poster and genuinely thought he was probably a very young poster too due to his impatience on transfer news.
