Honestly Ed014 I don't get nerve watching us played anymore. For the simple reason we are playing good football win or lose. Gone are the games where we just look meaning and teeth less.

This is building on from last season where we played some good football, as well, but was lacking goals a problem I noticed from pre-season.

The players appears to have overcome the nervousness and lack of believe. Maybe this is credit to the new recruits like Jesus, Saliba and Zinchenko as well as Xhaka taking a leading role.

{Ed014's Note - I re watched the game this afternoon and was so impressed with us, their goals really were their only highlights, we controlled so much of the game.

I made a point of listening again to what the commentators said, in particular Gary Neville and he often painted a different picture of how well he thought Liverpool where playing when they really weren’t.

We could have been 3 or 4 up before they got their second equaliser and even after both their goals we were the team looking most threatening.

They endeavoured and failed to kick Saka and Martinelli out of the game, nothing seems to faze those two.

My nerves mostly came from the fact I was watching with two Liverpool supporters and the need to win even though I was really confident we would, almost too confident! Haha.

It was also good to see how well pretty much everyone played, I’m loving Ben White at RB constantly linking with Saka and being a threat.

Tomiyasu and Partey were also immense.

Controlling the last part of the game so easily was also very impressive.

I think Liverpool are suffering from there being a mid season World Cup as most of their players look like they're holding back so they don't get injured for it. VVD in particular looks like he's playing at 50% and takimg no chances so he doesn't miss another tournament.

Definitely, we could have and likely should have scored early 2nd half. I think they are learning fast how to manage a game, especially after the Man U game. Just not getting sucked in too much in the atmosphere, but play to your game plan.

I had to do a double take seeing Ben White overlapping :)

Playing Tomiyasu at LB was top draw, not to take anything away from Tierney just think he's not fully fit.

Tierney just isn’t good enough!
See my post before - great guy, wonderful manner, temperament, attitude, heart etc.
Just not a good enough defender.

Just not quite. Great squad player and if he could work on his defensive positions (and keep fit of course! ) then maybe he could be great, but Zinchenko and Tomi are better.

Zinchenko is good going forward and tucking in the midfield but feel he's not the best defending either.
