Any truth in Dan Crowley to Oxford United on loan? If so, any idea for how long?

Also, I know it's a long shot, but chances of Yaya Sangoo disappearing this transfer window?

AFCGlenn

1.) 13 Jul 2016 18:36:58
Season long loan as from july 1st.

Think Sanogo will stay at Charlton.

2.) 13 Jul 2016 19:25:00
I will pop up and have a look see what he's like.

3.) 13 Jul 2016 20:14:24
On day release from Oxford University are we Bambam? :-)

4.) 13 Jul 2016 21:21:33
No

The open prison :)

5.) 13 Jul 2016 21:51:08
Ah, that explains everything :-)

6.) 14 Jul 2016 08:07:42

SkySports saying Vardy to have a medical today.

Eds, any update on what's happening with Szczesny?

AFCGlenn

{Ed025's Note - not at the moment glenn..

1.) 05 Jun 2016 12:14:25
Rumours appeared that we are discussions with Roma. I can't see him coming back, as he still appears to be extremely immature, despite having all the attributes to be a top keeper.

2.) 05 Jun 2016 13:10:02
Yeah, agree RG, Szczesny has all the skills to become a very good goal keeper and the chance to work with Cech should only of helped him, but he seems to have no interest in learning, I can understand not wanting to be second fiddle, but he's wasting a good chance to do learn here.

3.) 05 Jun 2016 15:26:03
Hopefully vardy is a done deal, so the Roma discussions are for manolas ;)

4.) 06 Jun 2016 08:33:39
Seems like deja vu here will definatley sign by sunday will have medical by sunday decision to be made Monday Now will be an arsenal player b4 end of week what's next missed the sighning because liecester did not recieve paperwork in time.

5.) 06 Jun 2016 11:23:17
Anyone know what's going on with this? Bookies seem to be cutting the odds on him staying at Leicester.

6.) 06 Jun 2016 16:29:03
What if we did not sign Vardy would people be out for Wengers blood or get behind him.

{Ed025's Note - i cant see why anyone would be after his blood G4ever, signing a home grown international can only be a good thing mate..

7.) 06 Jun 2016 16:43:31
Ed are arsenal interested in signing mahrez. I know that we are but i mean will that interest develop at all?

{Ed001's Note - at the moment he is making it known he wants to stay. Later in the window that might change, if Leicester shed players and look like struggling.}

8.) 06 Jun 2016 16:58:21
G4ever I'd get behind him, although saying that it depends on who he signed instead of vardy.

9.) 06 Jun 2016 19:53:45
Sorry ed025 i was asking if we did not sign vardy. i'm wanting everyone to come n support the the club for wengers final season regardless of who we sign Jegooner.

{Ed025's Note - i think they will G4ever, the man is a legend and even though the moans were starting to surface last season i think (no hope) that everyone realizes how much he has given to arsenal and treats the guy with the respect he deserves mate..

Hi Eds,

Not sure if you'll be able to help or not.

But what are the chances of Bellerin moving this summer? I believe previously Barcelona have come out and said they would like to sign him back.

I personally hope he stays, he has been fantastic this season and deserve his call up for the Euros.

AFCGlenn

{Ed001's Note - it all comes down to Dani Alves mate. He is looking at staying another season right now, so Barca will hold off, if that situation remains the same.}

1.) 31 May 2016 11:39:05
I'd imagine he'd probably pack his bags and leave us if Barcelona did come in for him.

What would be interesting is how much we'd get for him and then who would we replace him with.

2.) 31 May 2016 12:24:06
If we sell him I'd like Aurier but I'd rather stick with Bellerin.

3.) 31 May 2016 12:41:58
Ignore that I read he just got arrested haha.

4.) 31 May 2016 13:23:16
He said he wants to stay as he and his gf are happy in London and he calls it home. Might just be saying that. Hope he doesn't leave he's going to become I world class right back in my opinion.

5.) 31 May 2016 13:52:02
As much as I would love him to stay, I think he is saying all the right things to all the right people at this moment - everyone knows he will be at Barcelona in under 2 years - I just hope we get a good bit of wedge for him.

Can we see Jenks/ Chambers taking over?

6.) 31 May 2016 14:05:11
I don't believe for a second that Barcelona would be willing to spend the amount of money required to get Bellerin.

7.) 31 May 2016 17:31:20
Hopefully Jenks is on the road to recovery, think he'll be a great addition to squad next season. I personally see Chambers as a future CB, I've been watching him play the England u21s lately and he's a lot better CB then right RB. Wenger was previously toying with the idea of playing CDM, but following Wilshere return to fitness and a few signings, guessing that ship has sunk!

Good news and bad news.

Media reporting that Sanchez will be fit for the first game of the season following the knock he got during the copa final.

Bad news, the mirror are saying that Wenger is considering bidding £15 Mil for Jonhny Evans.

Evening standard suggesting that Wenger won't look to buy another centre back straight away and will attempt to convert Coqeulin.

Meaning out potential centre backs for the season would be:
Kos,
Per,
Chambers,
Holding,
Belik,
Monreal,
Coquelin.

AFCGlenn

1.) 27 Jul 2016 22:50:27
If you take kos off that list who would utd city or Chelsea want as a CB if we made them available?
Or Liverpool Spurs West ham or Everton?
Or Southampton or Stoke?

2.) 27 Jul 2016 23:34:03
I for one look forward to our pairing of Chambers and Coquelin against Liverpool.

The ensuing rage afterwards as fans do their nut and Arsene assures we're still active, before promoting Bielik and throwing him in at the deep.

3.) 28 Jul 2016 03:08:01
I get your point lads but maybe a run in the 1st team might actually do these kids some good. We never complained when Bellerín got his run in and became a regular now did we. I know he had a great run of games but to be honest we were also on a half decent run of form which helped to build his confidence also. Given the same circumstances maybe the other lads may prove there worth also.

Keep smiling and stay behind the team we have people (we may not get anymore players so best to praise what we have) .

Any news on a possible TV5 return?

AFCGlenn

1.) 18 Jul 2016 10:21:48
If he could prove his fitness why not. Maybe a loan deal?

2.) 18 Jul 2016 13:13:25
Not a chance. We sold him because he was injury prone.

3.) 18 Jul 2016 13:06:23
Definitely no no no.

31 May 2016 17:32:43
Any idea why Xhaka number has changed already? And any update on Debucy leaving?

AFCGlenn

1.) 31 May 2016 22:12:58
He was going to wear Ramsey's number 16 (Ramsey switched to 8 because Arteta is leaving) .

Xhaka than switched to 29 because he was born in '92.

2.) 31 May 2016 23:08:39
I thought it was to pay homage to the mighty Marouane Chamakh.

I don't blame him for switching from that tainted 16 shirt. It used to be my favourite number until Ramsey went to Hollywood.

I'd rather keep him. Think he's a class player and I Wenger doesn't buy a striker, he'll carry on playing Sanchez or Walcott up top, so we will need another winger.

I think selling Wilshere would be a huge mistake. For me, he needs to play along side someone in the holding role. I think he plays best when he sits deeper as it allows him to play with his head up and run with the ball.

He's been unlucky with injuries, but again, he's struggled with all impact injuries and not muscular. Wenger has huge faith in him and I believe he is about to sign a new long term contract. For me, I'd like to see him or Coquelin as future captains - both players that have grown up at Arsenal and you see can it means so much to them to play for Arsenal - apart from Jenkinson, the only other two that play with real passion for he shirt.
