Do you know if the board is looking at other options at the managerposition?
I know you don't like to speculate, so I'm not asking for names, but do you know if it's something the board is looking in to in case Wenger doesn't sign a new deal? It would seem to be due diligence at this point, but the board seems (atleast to me) as overdependent on Wenger.
Bottomline: Is Arsenal browsing for a new manager or is the board just sitting on their hands hoping for Wenger to sign?
{Ed001's Note - they began their search for a successor a while back, just before the 1000th game. Up until then they had expected him to sign, in fact they had scheduled an announcement to be made before that match. Strange, considering it has been him holding off on signing a new deal for a while, so they should have begun the search much sooner, in my opinion.}

I agree that it seems a bit late, but hopefully they'll find someone good. (If not then I'm open for the job! I've won the league several times with Arsenal in Fifa and I could do with a couple of millions in the bank account. )
2.) The problem with the board is they seem to be stuck in the 1930's when arsenal used to dominate the league. its 2014 and they need to wake up from their inception.
They will end up signing a coach no one at arsenal has heard of. It won't be Martinez and it won't be Klopp. It's not going to be Van Gaal as I don't think he is the one to take us forward.
Steve Bould will be the manager, because they will have not found a replacement at all.
3.) For me klopp is the man for the job, I know they have a very similar situation as arsenal with the selling of their best players but the difference is in the bundesliga theirs 1 team which is bayern and it's almost impossible for any other team to win the league over them so the players get bored where as in the prem it's always right and I think with a new style and plan B, klopp a ruthlessness and if he could bring in the likes of Reus and hummls arsenal can be back to the team we all know. I love wenger but he's simply not bothered anymore

Read that Lukaku's agent is talking about moving on from chelsea in the summer.
Anyone konw if this is just the usual agenttalk or if there is some truth in it?
He would be a beast in Arsenal!
1.) Well he did confirm talks with levy. not sure if wenger think's he worth 25mill or however much chelsea want from him.
Not sure why chelsea want to sell him.
Does he want to be the main striker?
Personal issues with management?
If Madrid are going to be looking to buy a striker, and put Benzema for sale we may have a chance to try land him, again not sure what sums will be involved but around that 30mill mark I assume, but if PSG sell cavani then I can see them going for Benzema.
I guess it depends on which big striker moves. Does chelsea go for Diego Costa or Cavani or both?
Is cavani of interest to Man Utd?
Is RVP on the market?
some big player has to move for us to react, because we are not going to make the first move and we are not going to spend sums of the amount of Ozil in the near future.

Rumour about Jefferson Montero joining Arsenal for about £3m. Don't really know him, but it doesn't rime with worldclass signing.
Anyway, let's see if it comes true

Do you have some statistics for what is being written on this page? I would very much like to know what is most frequent of the following:

Do anyone know if Leandro damiao is a realistiv target for us? He was very good last year, but haven't seen him for a while, and he wasn't part of the conf XI. Spurs were after him but clearly they have gone on to Soldado and with cash to splash we could get him.
Do you guys knows if there's a third party ownership or some other difficulties with a transfer? {Ed022's Note - Damiao has never really been an Arsenal transfer target and I feel that Arsene has his eyes on other targets}

Oh, please let the Higuain uphold be because we are raiding Real for Higuain, Khadira and Di Maria. I know it isn't likely, but it would be awesome!
1.) Precisely! If ever there was a time we needed Wenger to pull out a 'Wenger move', this is it. People always talk about smokescreens and elsewhere I produced a list of players we thought we were going for, compared with the actual players we ended up signing -this is one situation I really hope he does come back with more than the rumours suggest.

The julio cesar story's gone quite, do you know if it's due to international duty or are we no longer in for him? (it could ofcause be that arsenal are using the Reina thing for smokescreen and closing the deal in nice peace an quite, but we usually ain't that good manipulating the media).
Anyway thanks for a great website, I check it out much more than I should with finals approaching ;) {Ed027's Note - He's an option, Reina will probably be of interest, I don't know what's go on with Begovic, Valdes should be out of the running

DO you know why Arsenal isn't interested in him? He is a great striker at a good age and would fit well with the system we play. Is it bc of asking price, off the field problems or something else? Seems strange to be seeking another striker but not being interested in a quality one like lewandowski..

I think Gunnerbe has a point. Most of the time I think that the users and the eds on this side are equally in the dark over transfers. (Everybody knows arsenal is out for a striker nobody knows who)
The ed's are like Jon Snow, lots of swagger but they know nothing ;)
(and btw for someone who talks a lot about all the abuse he is getting, ed002 isn't that polite himself)
Still enjoying the site though.
{Ed025's Note - the thing is aros, most eds are just purveyors of the information passed on by other posters, whereas some, especially ED02, is constantly in contact with players, agents, etc and passes on info to us not so connected eds and members of the site, he does this for free, as do all the eds, so why you would expect a guy like him to put up with abuse when he is forever helping and informing sites of the latest info is beyond me mate, if he was not around this site would not be be what it is, and imo that entitles him to a bit of respect..

An to top it off you want Arsenal to sign the biggest Dramaqueen in football aka Balotelli? Arsene has talked a lot about how the teamspirit and togetherness have a great influence on the club and players and Balotelli would straight out ruin it.(and he isn't that good anyway)
I do hope that we'll some players who'll be a part of the team not think them selves as above the team.
