3 ex spurs player on motd all saying 3 clear cut penalties. What a great example of why replays are needed in the modern game massive mistake on pen decision and on offside goal which look like he was in line, unfortunately refs can decide games, to much money involved in the modern game for stupid errors like that to continue, ruins the game.

I have no idea where u get 3 clear pens from. Bellerin at best was.

Arsenal deserved to lose, get a grip and move on.

Everyone will lose games.

2.) 20 Aug 2017 21:05:02
Except when Mesut handles the ball in the build up to am equaliser of always.

3.) 20 Aug 2017 22:08:21
and a kos handball away before he scored lol.

4.) 21 Aug 2017 09:43:57
CTR watch MOTD and you will see 3 pens not given and that was coming from 3 ex spurs players, I have no idea how you can make a comment on that when clearly you didn't watch the game, how did Arsenal deserve to lose then? So a team with 77% possession more shots on target goal disallowed and 3 clear pens not given deserves to lose! Embarrassing statement that ctr.

5.) 21 Aug 2017 09:48:28
CTR if the officials got their decision right Arsenal would of won that game and with the stats you reckon you would still be saying Arsenal deserved to lose, you've made yourself look so stupid 😂😂😂😂.

Question, does the super cup count as a major trophy and why?

Gunnerbod

1.) 08 Aug 2017 15:47:10
Not in my book it doesn't, champions league premier league europa league games cup league cup are the real trophies in my opinion and the rest are all window dressing show games.

2.) 08 Aug 2017 15:48:02
It doesn't, it's just been boosted by tv coverage and promotion. When we were in it against Milan, it was classed as a pre season friendly. It's all about perception. If I remember rightly it wasn't a complete sell out either.

3.) 08 Aug 2017 17:58:55
Fair comment, does UEFA class it as a major trophy?

4.) 08 Aug 2017 18:26:48
It's thier tournament so I guess they pretty much have too mate.
I think like the charity Shield it's only of any real interest to the teams involved and if a team goes on to win the title means nothing by next May but if a team has a less than great season it becomes something to hang on to.

5.) 09 Aug 2017 00:47:51
I've got to be honest gunner I find all this anylising friendlies by fans and pundits on sky whom try to put some kind of importance into it just because we televise it now, pointless. They are pointless friendlies as far as results are concerned, its purely for more money and fitness.

6.) 09 Aug 2017 07:07:46
I gave up watching friendlies years ago Steve mate as they like you say are from a spectator point of veiw pointless in many ways you might as well watch a training session.
Friday night and away to Stoke and Liverpool will be a much clearer indicator of what the team is both capable of and up against in the season ahead.
Come through them 3 unbeaten and I will be impressed.

Will never understand how player ratings are done, if a defender has a great game but gets sent off towards the end he will get a 4 or 5 rating. yet if an attacking player has a great game and dives to win a penalty i.e. Townsend, he gets a rating of 8, and they say diving is a disgrace and cheating, yet rewards players with high ratings for doing so.

Gunnerbod

The penalty, was a penalty.

Based on tonights performance Sanchez should have a had a 1 or 2.

Without seeing the same ratings as yourself i imagine he had a 5 or 6.

Paper ratings are nonsense.

Yes, he would be paid more this year and could still leave on a transfer next summer so it would be a win win for him, that's if you can believe he won't be sold this summer.

Do SC freiburg, Mainz, FC Augsburg, RB leipzig and Frankfurt add anything positive to the German Bundesliga?

That's the last time I arrange my weekend around football, beside the fact Arsenal were very poor and a poor team selection, a moment of brilliance can win a game with has always made football exciting to watch, but the last three games there has been absolutely scandalous ref decisions which has been a major impact on the result of the game.

I've cancelled my sky sport and bt sport until VAR (video assistant referee) is introduced to the game so it's an even game and not what the ref thinks happened, many games this season (and not just Arsenal games) decisions have been shocking, and the whole "it evens itself out over a season" is a pathetic argument, if a wrong decision knocks a team out of a cup competition how can it even itself out then? Best of luck for the rest of the season.

Raver, if it evens itself out over a season, the VAR (video assistant referee) showed Arsenal would be 8 points better off so far if it was being used like it does in other leagues, so you reckon the officials will help Arsenal get back those decisions then?

The officials this year have been a disgrace, and we claim to have the best league in Europe with the worst officials, just watched 12 mins of spurs game tonight and once again a disgrace, how can the linesman not see he's offside? Too many times now the officials are deciding games, it's not about football anymore it's about if the ref had a good game, pathetic, bring in VAR and have a fair game!

The new sky premier league advert is great, it tells you all the clubs achievements i. e. Arsenal 3 titles, Leicester winning it and spurs is; Harry Kane 😂😂.

What have Chelsea done that no other team would of done with hundreds of millions spent and run the club like a circus? You must celebrate abramovich birthday as he is your saviour.
