What's the latest transfer news on defensive midfielders coming into the club Ed's? Could Lars Bender still be persuaded to leave Bayern.?
{Ed025's Note - he could josh, but it will depend on how much is spent on other more pressing areas such as a CF mate, and if the interest in di maria is to be believed, then i would very much doubt it..

Would love to see us sign up Benzema as our main CF and Wenger is said to admire him if not i'd settle for Balotelli or Javier Hernandez.
What are our chances of signing one of these three forwards ed's?

Reports have suggested that Juventus have moved into pole position to sign Higuain with an offer of a four year deal on the table, but his representative has strongly denied a deal has already been struck.
"There is nothing done yet with Juventus, " Nicolas Higuain, the forward's brother and agent told people. "The player's rights are still with Real Madrid and the first thing we need to do is meet with the club.
"The club in its current status will take a while before they make a decision. "

Galatasaray are looking to bring in Podolski or Gervinho for 12-15 million
Wenger has come out and said he can see Podolski playing up front possibly and he will play there for remaining 3 games. A good sign of intent to keep the striker for those fearing we'll sell him so soon. Another topic, Arjen Robben is likely to leave Bayern with new manager Pep Guardiola coming in rated 12-15 million.

Out of Balotelli, Martinez and Mandzukic Balotelli looks the most promising. If Benzema becomes available we will be interested with the fee at 40m. We have Remy as a back up plan secured for us finalise if we want.
Serge Aurier looks set to join, we're looking at another midfielder still to play as a deep lying playmaker or DM/Box to Box and a GK. Ruddy for example is being looked at and some reports claim we have had a bid rejected already, another story reads there is interest in Casillias.

Cazorla to Athletico is absurd and will not happen.
His impact at our club last season was immense, Wenger and Gazidis even the Ed's have said no big name players will need to be sold.
If we were to ever sell Cazorla we would have done it to Real Madrid and tried to get Higuain in the deal. Bottom line is it won't happen.
Now let's focus on the players coming in

I've not read anywhere about him wanting out at all but if that is the unfortunate case we should all be concerned because he is the best number 10 and given the chance to play in that central role behind the striker without having to track back and defend he is absolutely quality there. He's been mistreatd tactically at Arsenal and would shine at any other club that let's him play his natural game.

27m for Schneiderlain is ridiculous he's very good at what he does but for 27m I'd want the player to be more wholesome as player, played in CL and excelled, starter for his country etc it's a bit over exorbitant.
Sky tv just reporting Suarez has not said he wants to stay despite recent claims. It was a misinterpretation of him saying he is still there for now because of the fans.

Ok I agree with most of what you said but remember Wenger wanted hazard very much so he was the first to have interest in him from the prem and we bid twice for him. Just before he joined Chelsea we were the unnamed English club with the fourth offer and 2/3 seasons before that as well at the last minute of the transfer and this was verbally said on sky tv.
We got Gervinho because we couldn't get Hazard and we got Cazorla because we didn't sign Mata.
Rami has no pave gets far too many yellow cards. I think he committed the most fouls in LaLiga.
Suarez can score on his own from nothin and can dribble considering we play with a forward 3 he would suit is better.
Suarez will get us more goals
Patience big deals take time. You want top players right?
What club wants to sell their best players.
It will take weeks of negotiations to secure our transfer targets but we will sign some players.
Cazorla is going nowhere.
We no longer need to sell our best players to raise funds we have the money
