It was a tough game to start a new season, but we can take positives from the game like xhaka is definitely shyte, ramsey as ed25 stated in the post below should be warming the bench, and I really think we should start we Lacca and Auba.
Also Lichtsteiner should start instead of bellerin.
But liking the new kid
Good positives tho.

Moe, Gouendouzi is raw, he needs help, xhaka is no role model or mentor. Maybe him and torreira going forward can become the new central mid. Definitely not as flakey or untalented, like xhaka or al ninny. Bellerin looks so weak and lich needs to replace him pronto. The forward line needs a direction, it has bags of potential but looks out of balance. Myki or ozil need dropping lacca and auba needs to form a relationship.

2.) 12 Aug 2018 19:59:25
I agree. Early days and a baptism of fire. We still asked a few questions, looked better when Torreira was on. Goudenuzi looked good at times and a 19 year old the rest. Lichtsteiner looked seasoned like a good bit of oak. You know what you get! Experienced athlete. Sokratis looked poor and cumbersome next to mustafi . Cech had a good game. It will come it wasn’t awful . Home defeat an all but a start against the best side in England.

3.) 12 Aug 2018 20:05:38
The biggest positive for me Moe is today was a very tough start for Emery apposed to extention of a tough decade under Arsene.
I really don't mean that disrespectfuly towards Arsene but at least we have every reason to hope for real improvement in the coming months and years now as apposed to simply thinking here we go again.

4.) 12 Aug 2018 21:08:53
Agree 100% with you steve, he is definitely not a finished product but.
62 mate, having that sub change in the 54th min means there something different happening 😂.
I think Xhaka failed in his position today, actually he failed the whole game today.
But I liked Torreira’s energy.

5.) 12 Aug 2018 21:40:34
Moe, the kid is strong and has great ability, tackles holds the ball and passes. For us to get the best out of him, he needs help from a central mid partner, who won't leave him exposed. He has got to learn from his mistakes and quick but if he does, we have a talent. If he doesnt, he and us will have to be a bit more patient with him. The problem there is we need a stronger central pair and if he and torreira can't do the job together, i don't see anyone else.

6.) 12 Aug 2018 21:26:11
3 of the new lads were voted 2nd 3rd 4th best Arsenal players today, Lacasette was voted our best in a poll across all fans Arsenal neutral and spuds alike.
Xhaka came out best amoung Spurs fans :-)

7.) 12 Aug 2018 21:27:11
Agree moe, only three subs allowed, otherwise Dick would have took off a few more under performers.

8.) 13 Aug 2018 08:32:09
But. But we were meant to see a different haka! Can't blame him anyway, it's all Chambers fault.

03 Aug 2018 17:09:59
Why we don’t go for Toby Alderweireld? Great CB in my opinion.

Moe G

1.) 03 Aug 2018 17:47:34
Sol Campbell mate :-)

2.) 03 Aug 2018 21:39:06
I’d have him, rose and Dembele! It would be most of our problems solved. Plus a winger! Job done 👍🏻.

3.) 04 Aug 2018 05:01:10

4.) 04 Aug 2018 06:59:46
Great CB, but he wants to go to Man U and there is absolutely no way the Toot would sell him to Arsenal. There is still rumours that we are after Vida, Presumably only if we are abe to sell Mustafi.

I have been seeing a lot of debates about our next manager Arteta lol.
Well, I think the club and the board might've seen something good and worth taking the risk in for Arteta, some developments we are missing.
Not saying his my choice but If it's going to be him then that's a very very bold move.
But if he's to get the job then we have to wait and see what he's got in his locker before shouting and campaigning Arteta Out.
I believe there's ambition at the club especially with the new guys in the board as as I have been reading with are working on some decent deals.

As for the safe choices we are crying out loud for its not always a guaranteed success as it has been mentioned, like Rafa was at R Madrid and Ancelotti at Bayern.

I just hope whoever is appointed will be given at least half a season chance by the fans. As we are only good at making noise at the Emirates when we pooing our team and manager not when cheering.

We wanted change from the groundhog years Moe and we've got it. Who ever takes over be it Artetta or whoever we have a chance of things being different from our recent past and we haven't had that for a very long time.
Next season is exciting simply because it's not a forgone conclusion it's been for so long in the past.

Well well what can we say, well played spurs you deserved to win.
When you give them too much time on the ball you telling them to go ahead and have a go. Poor wengers tactics all over again.
We player then before and pressed them high and gave them no chance why changes our damn tactics you lutanic manager.
And why on earth you brought in Iwobi. He’s got nothing to offer and he's got no future being a top level footballer.
We were known with our good passing but today showed from the back to the midfield we lack big time. How on earth you want to use the speed of your attack when you can’t get ball cross the half line.
Just bugger off Wenger you ruined your damn lagacy.

1.) 10 Feb 2018 16:46:17
Yeah 1st half was pretty even with neither keeper really tested but 2nd half Spurs pinned us back with good pressing and we never got any grip in the game and our forward players were starved of possession. Could have been a few more to Spurs baring cech making some good saves. We gave spurs to much initative really and they took control. Iwobi is pants Lacazette should start ahead of him and play a bit deeper behind abu. I think we also missed Rambo today Elneny and Xhaka just too static.

2.) 10 Feb 2018 18:13:56
I just think the players have been made to play too softly. We need some aggression in the team. Oh how I miss the invincibles. Strong and quick.

im seriously over this season and wenger. I’m lost for words, I just don’t know what to say.

Moe G

1.) 30 Jan 2018 21:45:45
Wenger out! that's all that can be said.

2.) 30 Jan 2018 22:03:56
We have been saying this (Wenger out) for way too long and nothing is happening. He just can’t address the actual issue we have. Xhaka is a waste of space along we Iwobi.
And all the back four and Cech too.
So please Mr Wenger just leave and take them with you.
They are a disgrace to the club.

3.) 30 Jan 2018 22:16:22
I don't like knocking young kids but how the hell does iwobi keep starting let alone in the squad. What does he do!

4.) 30 Jan 2018 22:21:04
New contract in the offing Mr W.?

5.) 30 Jan 2018 22:53:59
Steve, Iwobi has nothing to offer. Young or not if not up to it shouldn’t be picked. I have absolutely no idea what wenger sees in him. But I’m not shocked if he leaves Kola out and plays monreal instead and keep playing Xhaka. Clueless dinosaur.

I actually like the idea of Viera, especially that he was a rock of a CM so he knows how to fix our midfield and defence.
Allegri a great shout too.

I think with the new appointments arsenal started to purchase players differently, and for that I hope we will see some quality signings at the back. Although CB are bery rare these days.
However we still need wenger out of the door for any future progress.

I think he might just letting Leno set out and see the aggressiveness of the game in the PL first. Or he may opt to play a more PL experienced keeper against city.
But I’m sure we will be seeing Leno and in goal very soon.

I did say they must see something in him at the club that we don’t which was the reason behind his contract, but I’m still trying to find out the special thing he has and its alomst like finding woolly, even woolly was easier to find than xhakas quality.

The problem there is we just renewed and gave him an improved contract which I don’t know how this happened, its not like he had an outstanding season last season and we are afraid to lose him for nothing.

I really hope Emery can see he was the weakest link in our midfield last sunday and that he is a waste of space.

I was really hoping he can prove us all wrong and be bossing the midfield.

You could actually see that wenger way of passing was still there especially in the first half, in the second half they were a bit more direct once Ramsey was replaced and even more when Xhaka was taken out.
There is more pressure in Competitive games than friendlies as we all know,
We weren’t that bad really on sunday, the team didn’t look scared as the era before and I can only see improvement from Emery on the team.
Altho I liked the fact in Emery post match interview said we had issue needed to be addressed instead of blaming the ref of not awarding the penalty.
