Information coming in from local news in Barcelona. AFC are in negotiations to take Yerry Mina on loan with a possibility to buy next year, that is why Chambers is leaving on loan no Fulham. Eds, any trith in that?

Hey Ed25 not seen you round these parts for while, how well do you think silvas going to do?

{Ed025's Note - hi eden, i have been very busy mate and been celebrating my 60th birthday by doing a lot of things on my bucket list mate, i have been impressed with silva so far, him along with brands have addressed a lot of the issues we had last season, he has shipped out a lot of the under performers and is bringing in what seem like very good players, fat sam left us all very deflated and the football was dire but marco i think will make us a lot easier on the eye but there are still issues to be addressed, we need the centre of defence sorted and an enforcer in midfield but he cant fix things overnight so we as fans need to be a little patient but the signs are good..

Marco Silva is a quality appointment for Everton, a manager I wouldn't have minded replacing Wenger at Arsenal.

{Ed025's Note - been to a few countries but only in europe and weekend breaks in this country a lot of which have been presents eden, we have looked awful pre season but i dont hold much store by that as its more about getting the players up to speed mate, the world cup has not helped our cause and i dont expect us to pull up any trees just yet but the early signs have been very positive, i try to tell people that this is a project and not to expect too much too soon, a bit like yourselves we both have new guys at the helm and it will take a while for them to instill their ethos and for the players to adapt to new systems..

News outlets in Andalucia are saying Lenglet has asked until the end of the month before commiting with Sevilla for the year because he has 2 offers on the table, one from Barcelona, where he is worried he will be second choice, and apprently one from Arsenal, where he has been assured first choice with Kos injured. Eds any truth in that?

{Ed001's Note - I believe the bit about the offers is conjecture but he has asked to have time to think over his future.}

Some madrid media are saying that Emery is looking to sign DM Marcos Llorente from Real Madrid after spending most of the last season on the bench, Eds any information on that being true?

Local news in Sevilla are now liking us with CB Clement Lenglet, who is also liked by Barcelona (but he has rejected them before because he wants guaranteed first option playing time) . Eds any idea if this is true?

{Ed002's Note - As a special treat, he is Plan B for Barcelona but they are getting nowhere with their Plan A and are pushing for a deal with CL. Arsenal are not in the picture at all as far as I am aware, but that can change with a new coach.}

Ed can I ask, everyone is certain that Arteta is joining but behind closed doors is that actually true or is he still amongst a list which arsenal don’t know what to do yet?

{Ed002's Note - As I explained others have dropped off the list for one reason or another. CA would possibly still be an option but if the club refuse to make commitments or agree a sensible stance, the list will dwindle until tier 2 is the only option.}

Last night Unai Emery's web page published a statement (photo) accepting the challenge as the new manager for Arsenal, apprently by mistake, and then they took it down, so probably he will anounced officialy in the next few hours.

Ed, does't Torreira have dual citizenship Uruguay/ Spain?

Some small newspapers from Spain are speculating with an apparent interest in Unai Emery, is that who you are calling the Dark Horse? Apparently he has halted talks with Real Sociedad because of a contact from Arsenal.
