Morning all. Liverpool fan here in peace. Congratulations on the match.
Just a question you’ve probably heard before but Saturdays game brought it to mind. What’s your feeling about AFTV? Do they represent the views of the fan base at large? Are they a good image for arsenal fans?

It used to be fun and light hearted banter and open to different views and opinions but then it got all political preachy and full of ranting uninteresting people telling other people how to feel think behave and became less interesting than watching a ukip manifesto unvaliing for the 8th consecutive time.

Why do you think it’s a terrible channel Ed? I think that it’s good because it gets boring listening to same old pundits who watch highlights and not the actual match.

I think it came along at a time when it was needed to be honest.
I think Robbie deserves a lot of credit I think he set out to give a diverse range of fan opinion a platform and I think he’s been consistent in striving for that since.
Like it or not that merits respect.
Yeah a lot of it can be contradictory and over the top. but it’s directly after the game and it’s not a neutral pundit in a studio it’s a lifelong fan paying large season ticket prices travelling all over in all types of weather. the onus is on us to judge it on that basis and not just by the different personalities we see exploding or ranting at times.
I actually think it’s got it’s place at a time where all is fans feel disconnected and often disenfranchised by our clubs corporate elements and certainly Mo and Turkish back up a lot of their arguments with rationale and facts in an articulate way.
DT is just controversial for the sake of it.
Say what you want about Troopz but you can’t knock a guy with that passion.
And the rest of them? In my opinion when the travel the way they do and commit the way they do I think they deserve to have voice and opinions heard.
If we don’t like it, don’t click on the screen.
Simples.

Yeah your right Ed it is the same old people which does make it really annoying at times. I like the idea of the channel but I think they have lost their purpose. You can’t say that you want to give fans a voice and then you go on and interview the same old faces all the time. What about those fans who hold entirely different opinions. They get attacked sometimes though and I think it’s stupid especially with fans at games screaming for aftv to get out of our club.

Ray parlour said AFTV were a embarrassment for Arsenal, most of them are there to boost their so called celebrity status, I can't stand troppz or DT and the best one on it was claude and he was kicked in the gutter for Harrys Razors.

Cluade and Mr mechanise Ty, best of mates but argued about everything. That's when I enjoyed watching it because it was lighthearted fun and topical in equal measure.

I hate all of them, watched it once and listened to about 30 seconds of some idiot acting abusively about Wenger and turned it off. Why subject yourself to that kind of awful negativity? Just go for a walk instead.

What makes you think that if Usmanov takes over he will run the club any better than Kronke? What makes you think he is any less interested in financial gain than success on the pitch? What makes you so sure he will bring in all these 'marquee' signings? And why is a leading shareholder under any obligation to sell to anyone else just because fans think it's time for a change? This is a major business, not monopoly. I'm a Liverpool fan and I wish we were in the financial state Arsenal were. I'm not saying everything's rosy and I agree Wenger has made a lot of mistakes, but you have not rational reason to assume that Usmanov is going to be your knight in shining armour.

Mate imagine if we had failed to qualify for CL and we had lost 4-0. It would have been carnage on the Liverpool page. So let's not get too comfortable. Things can change quickly in football. We won well today but I'm sure Arsenal will be back (just not too quickly) . Seriously though I was saying to someone I can't remember seeing Arsenal playing so badly in a very long time. What's going on?

{Ed001's Note - I have not seen or heard the interview in full yet (or read a transcript of it) to know what you mean, sorry. I know he feels the protests are a problem. Funny how he admitted the uncertainty surrounding his contract contributed, when he could have solved that issue at any time he chose! Oh and of course he always likes to moan about injuries.}
