All I can say Jelfy is I'm glad we have just got a new chief scout and it's not you ;) Pele? Is he all that?

1.) 24 Nov 2017 05:31:31
Apart from the World Cup which Brazil had some outstanding players to help him win the World Cup what did he win and who did he play for?

2.) 29 Nov 2017 12:49:37
Jelfy, why does he have to have played for a big trophy winning team? It’s not all about status and haircuts. Why can’t we just appreciate the skill shown by simply a great athlete and a ball of air?

03 Aug 2017 18:49:59
Hi Eds as far as you know have we made an official offer for Dembele of Dortmund and are we in the ball park figure wise if we have?

{Ed001's Note - last I heard they had absolutely no intention of selling him.}

1.) 03 Aug 2017 19:07:23
Thanks Ed.

Go on admit it you were checking to see 'the pain at the lane goes on ' 😂COYG.

1.) 26 Oct 2017 07:12:26
Nice one Sussex. There are times when silence speaks for itself, as I am sure a certain 8 year old Gordon Strachan look alike has been heard sobbing in the back of his mummies rusty old Subaru. Last night it was infact the pain at Wembley just goes on. What I find odd is that the attendance for a London derby and in a competition that gave the toot the best chance of a trophy, looked to be in the mid-30,000, which was better than the 23,000 that attended the previous round. Whilst the attendance at the Emirates the previous night was 58,000. I can't see th toot winning the CL nor the PL, so in October their best chance is the FA Cup. 1961.

2.) 26 Oct 2017 09:40:02
RG in the unlikely event Spurs should win the title are you
A going start calling Raver, Raver2018
B reinvented yourself with another poster name
C change the goal posts and make the community shield or the Emirates trophy the new standard :-)

My guess is C :-)

3.) 26 Oct 2017 10:37:47
Your wasting you time g62. You can teach a tricky pig mate but you can't educate pork!

4.) 26 Oct 2017 10:51:07
I know Sanogo mate but the thought of it is funny, RG moving the goal posts and regardless of what the rest of the world thought insisting the community shield was a more valued trophy than the premier league title :-)
I've got a wierd sense of humour I guess but just the thought of cracks me up :-)
No offence intended RG mate but you must admit you would try :-)

5.) 26 Oct 2017 11:07:56
R. G. we were dire last night and we still have a soft underbelly I thought we got rid of, I think poch has done a good job at spurs but I'm starting to think he won't take us to the next level this current squad should be. If we had Conte or guardiola in charge of this current crop we would be winning trophies. The facts are R. G. I don't go hiding after defeats and I'm always honest.

6.) 26 Oct 2017 11:25:24
A) However unlikely, I will call him raver18
B) I am so confident it won't happen, that I will change my name to RGtoot
C) The standard is as follows, in my own order of importance: CL, PL, FA Cup, League Cup and Community Shield. All are considered trophies, including the community won by teams. I have never mentioned the Emirates Cup as a trophy. I amused by your ignorance in respect of the Community Shield, which is played by the League Champions and FA Cup winners in front of a full house at Wembley and televised live. I always go to Wembley when we are playing in this match and have enjoyed beating the league champions on the most recent three occasions.
I have never said that the Community Shield is a 'more valued' trophy compared to the PL title. This is a figment of your distorted imagination. It appears that your best mate is Sanogo, raver61's Arsenal supporting identical twin, which says it all.

7.) 26 Oct 2017 12:02:57
Hi raver61, I have no problem having sensible discussions with you. I was very surprised with last night's result as you were coasting at 2-0 and it is very unlike a Pochettino side to give up a two goal lead. In fact I can't think of it ever happening under him at Tottenham.
I have to disagree that Conte or Guardiola would win trophies with the current squad. I think Pochettino is doing a great job. However, in the cold light of day, the squad although good, lacks the 'super' players that any of the top European teams, such as Barca, Real and Bayern have. In the PL, Man C and Man U have some top notch players. At Tottenham, the players that could fit into the starting eleven of top teams are possibly Kane, Alli and at a push Eriksen. Even these would be hard pushed to get into Real's first eleven or Man City's. Pochettino also needs to win a trophy desperately in order to move up to the next level.
In respect of commenting after a defeat I tend to wait a day or two opposed to making a rash statement in the heat of the moment.

8.) 26 Oct 2017 13:52:29
Sorry RG no offense was meant mate I was only having a laugh with you mate.

9.) 26 Oct 2017 14:44:49
good post Robbie and well said. 👏👏👏.

10.) 26 Oct 2017 15:40:24
No probs G62, I have an extremly thick skin having been brough up on he likes of Pat Howard, Terry Mancini, Gus Ceasar, John Matthews, Trevor Ross, etc. Gooners under 35 don't realise how fortunate we have been to have had George Graham and Arsene Wenger manager us.

11.) 26 Oct 2017 19:48:21
Love the pundits on all different channels change there opinion after each game the game is ruined by there bullshit talk everyday of the week . Spuds were the great future of football Sunday and Wednesday they are just a cocky team that won't win anything.

01 Sep 2017 17:14:40
11 motivated pretty good players ( read Leicester ) will always beat 11 demotivated top class players . Can only see Sanchez Mustafi Ozil not giving a fish`s tit this season and it spreading like Moanio`s last Chelsea season . He has lost the ability to motivate do well to finish top 8! Sad but true . Cue the treatment table being busier than normal if that's possible COYG It is a dereliction of duty and the club should grow a pair and instigate change but we know they wont.

1.) 01 Sep 2017 17:34:54
Motivated ? Pretty good? Did I drop off during the window? Who did we sign and who did we bring in to do the motivating?
Only kidding Sussex but I'm sure you get my point too, there players have looked less than motivated for a long time and some are looking much less than good.
Liecester were well organised committed and worked extremely hard for each other and the team and got their fans excited about what was possible by showing them rather than talking about good game.
All seems a millions miles away from Arsenal right now and for a long time to be fair.

2.) 01 Sep 2017 18:15:11
Maybe I wasn't clear 62! The pretty good players were Leicester and they were motivated as **** which equalled the title! Even if we had 11 top drawer players which we don't if they were unmotivated you have no chance . My point is we have a first 11 to rival that Leicester team but they have no fire 🔥 or motivation so no chance . At half time v Swansea two seasons ago when chasing Leicester we were 1-1 was expecting all out effort fight etc we lost 1-2 . Showed me. Ack then a Arsene couldn't motivate them and they can't motivate themselves. Absolute basic was a central defender and CDM . No wonder they are demotivated COYG.

27 Aug 2017 19:02:21
I can accept defeat ( hate it but can accept it ) . I can't accept not trying .

20 Aug 2017 09:28:42
And I know it was offside but what a finish from Laca - bodes well COYG.

1.) 20 Aug 2017 09:43:00
It was a stunning effort mate, a real natural goal scorers finish.
Unfortunately of all the rule changes you still can't be a tiny winey bit offside and have the goal count, an amazingly accurate spot by the linesman that 99/ 100 would have missed.

2.) 20 Aug 2017 10:18:30
great finish love the guy. but the team around him is all over the place. welbeck is a square peg in a round hole.

20 Aug 2017 09:25:06
Disappointing result . Think everyone agrees Xhaka can't tackle and Ramsey's best attribute is timing his runs into opponents box . No protection on both fronts for a back three . Square pegs and round holes . Thought with Coq at Man City away we had twigged we need the best CDM plus Santi type . It ain't rocket science square pegs square holes and buy a CDM and CB. Jeez ( please play Kolasinac at left back or LWB there was a reason he was in bundesliga team of the year and it wasn't as centre back ) still time to put it right and have a good go at the league COYG.

1.) 20 Aug 2017 10:19:30
a top cm or dm is vital sussex. get a dm to protect xhaka or someone who can do his running. i'm not sure what's the best idea. or is he just not upto it I actually can't decide.

2.) 20 Aug 2017 12:05:24
Me too Derby just want Xhaka to succeed- tough after yesterday but being played in wrong role.

Did I read that right Raver in the back seat with his mum's boobies in his mouth! Whatever floats your boat! Seriously though watched Man U today they are bang average and have played most of the bottom half of the league. Chelsea are also unconvincing! City to stroll it and us Man U Chelsea Spurs and Pool all in it together for places two to six in any order . All to play for COYG.
