Welbeck confirmed by the BBC and ssn, but we still need a CDM. Eds, any chance of Kondogbia or someone like that?

Also, £16m is an embarrassing amount to pay for Welbeck.

Ted

1.) 01 Sep 2014 21:30:13
It Is too much but English and last minute I'm not surprised. I don't rate welbeck at all. But if he becomes our player let's support and get behind him! Who knows he could turn out a good buy

{Ed025's Note - thats right D16 mate..

2.) Same amount as Callum, why is it a embarrassing amount

3.) 16 MILLION IS A JOKE HE IS TERRIBLE WHAT A AWFUL SIGNING

{Ed025's Note - only time will tell mate..

4.) Let not get our pants to wet, more atrocious amounts have been paid by other clubs for players even worse. He is English and can easily come up with 10-15 goals

{Ed025's Note - andy carroll?

5.) It's also half the price of Luke Shaw, and a 5th of Di Maria. 16 m is about right

6.) Welbeck is no cavani but come on, he's played at a World Cup scored at Real Madrid, scored goals for united while playing out wide. He's 23 he has pace let's give him a chance. I don't think alex ferguson would have played him if he was useless. Massive improvement on sanago. He will only improve, we will give him games and we will certainly create him lots of chances,

Ed, do you actually expect any incomings at all?

Ted

{Ed025's Note - i did ted...but my faith is deserting me at the moment mate..

Nastasic of interest to Arsenal. (ssn)

Ted

30 Aug 2014 21:54:04
Apparently we're challenging Chelsea for Remy.

If true, this could get interesting.

Ted

28 Aug 2014 17:54:23
Does the interest in Bony remain, or has that ship sailed?

Class player and would definitely be a step forward.

Ted

{Ed002's Note - I think it may be too late for Bony - Swansea have not been looking to replace him so would want to hang on or would want serious money. Huntelaar remains keen on England. Remy wants a CL team and is available for £8.5M to Arsenal. QPR are expecting him to leave and are working on a replacement. Destro's destination looks to be elsewhere. There is a meeting this evening I understand that will likely see a deal done for Cerci - also elsewhere. My advice is suck it up and move for Remy before someone else does.}

1.) So ed we have a meeting with cerci, is he good cause I've never heard of him?

{Ed002's Note - No - read the post again.}

2.) 28 Aug 2014 18:51:24
Sorry ed don't want to misunderstand that. Do you mean we are in a meeting for a deal with cerci? Sorry if a stupid question always appreciate your posts by the way!

{Ed002's Note - Not with Arsenal - what does the word "elsewhere" imply.}

3.) I read that wrong I got confused by the Line before also elsewhere and obviously took that wrong. Would like to ever so Apologise for not being as great at English literacy than you ed002.

4.) Me too ed loool

5.) Thanks for the advice to pick up Remy ed, I'll get right on it.

Wish we were aiming a bit higher though, he's hardly an upgrade over Poldi. Hell, would rather keep Podolski for sure actually.

6.) Ed is there still interest in Podolski? Could we sell him to clear up funds to move for Remy?

{Ed002's Note - It would be unrelated. Don't complicate matters.}

SSN are reporting that Tevez is on his way to a top 4 club in the BPL. Anyone got a clue who it is.

Wouldn't mind it being us to tell you the truth

Ted

1.) 16 Jun 2015 09:17:56
I think argentina is the only option..he is not going to play anywhere else in europe

2.) 16 Jun 2015 09:28:33
If true I think we are the least likely to sign him
utd
city
chavs
Arsenal
Is the most likely order for me as he'd want very good money to return to UK
utd are the desperado club who will keep throwing money at their problems until something happens, what he said about them when he joined city doesn't matter to LVG he's only interested in winning the title at any cost.

Maybe Jack should fine the FA after having to save them from embarrassment.

Ted

1.) 14 Jun 2015 19:27:27
Yeah Jackie boy. He's some kiddie

2.) 14 Jun 2015 20:00:01
He's becoming a master blaster with these stunning goals, could be good news for us in games when we get obsessed about walking it in the net.

3.) 14 Jun 2015 20:22:13
Yeah spot on. Always the same with the FA want players to play with passion but have no passion. It's a shame england can't field 11 robots with a social decorum degree. Unfortunately we live in a very confusing country where any sort of pride or passion is offensive to someone

30 May 2015 19:24:07
Now that is how you win the FA Cup.

Fantastic performance.

Ted

{Ed025's Note - your right ted..superb mate..

25 May 2015 22:42:24
Ed had already mentioned that a deal wasn't going to happen, but Dybala has confirmed that he will be moving to Juve.

On to the next target then.

Ted

11 May 2015 21:56:23
Absolute ****. No positives to that game. Swansea have done the double over us and it looks like the players still really want that 4th place trophy.

Bloody ridiculous performance.

Ted

{Ed025's Note - how many bloody chances do they need ted?, i know i keep harping on but a finisher must be No 1 priority, and why he took giroud off for a rusty looking theo is beyond me mate..

1.) 11 May 2015 22:07:08
Arsene really needs to realise that his 'system' has been rumbled. It was about 5 yrs ago. 2 rows of 4 man mark double up if necessary. & you stop us winning. What did Fergie say yrs ago just let them pass around in front of you, break away score job done.

2.) 11 May 2015 22:30:22
Why we brought on Theo to play upfront when they were defending in their six yard box is beyond me...
If he or Sanchez has slotted home one of those sitters though it would have been a different story...

{Ed025's Note - the fact is lemon they did,nt mate

3.) 12 May 2015 14:29:14
Giroud should've stayed on. When teams defend that deep he is one of few who could give us a goal from a ball in. He is such a threat in the air. And we do need another ST there's no doubt and I wouldn't be surprised if arsene knows that. We need someone as good in the air as Giroud with as good link up play but a better finisher and someone who'll score a goal from nothing. Who though is beyond me lol

4.) 12 May 2015 16:38:56
I know they didn't ed, but if one of them had Ted would be happy and not calling it a poor performance. You win some you lose some!

{Ed025's Note - if my brother had been my mother then my auntie would be the fairy godmother mate.. :)

Sorry for maybe asking an obvious question, but is Monreal a Basque player? Only if he isn't I would expect that Bilbao won't even attempt to sign him.

Ted

{Ed002's Note - He is, and they are.}

Sorry if I'm asking an obvious question, but if we were to sign Vidal would that have an impact on any possible deal for Fekir or Calhanouglu?

Ted

{Ed002's Note - Try not to complicate matters.}

I don't rate him at all, but I'd take him at this point.

Or Ed, we could go homegrown for one of those players. Like Winston Reid. Or we could be in for Welbeck maybe.

Not that I want either of those players.

Ted

{Ed027's Note - Reid isn't hg?

How can they be hurting? They just beat Sydney in a dramatic 1-0 thriller.

Ted

I always thought that the cannon would be a great idea. Reckon it would really pump up the atmosphere and intimidate opponents.

Ted

{Ed025's Note - especially if you pointed it at them ted.. :)

Think he's poor, but still Liverpool's best CB. He's a loss, but if he was playing for any other team he wouldn't be.

Purely statistical, but WhoScored rated Gibbs the highest on the pitch.

But as I said, it's based purely on stats, so it may not reflect his performance.
