Gents out of curiosity, why do you think Arsene put chambers out on the right, Markovic had his number most of the game especially given the difference in pace, would Debuchy not have been better on the right? We clearly used that side against you through most of the 1st half it was so evident. Is Debuchy slower than Chambers, from what i've seen Debuchy at least postions himself better and reads the game better.

Watching the match as a Liverpool fan I found it puzzling

1.) 22 Dec 2014 14:02:52
Because Wenger is stubborn, set in his ways and NEVER learns.
If we were to play real madrid it wouldn't occur to him to put extra measures in place to deal with Ronaldo. He certainly won't to deal with markovic or any of the half decent wide players that have pissed all over our fullbacks this season.

2.) 22 Dec 2014 14:50:37
Because otherwise we'd have Nacho in the center with Mert. Kos was injured. Chambers unable for the centre. Simple as that

3.) Before the great ducking incident - I was beginning to worry about the BFG getting hurt as it would leave us with Debuchy and Monreal as CB's. Now not so much.

Let's face it Chambers is in over his head at the moment and should be substitute and spot starter as he learns the game, don't blame him as he gives his all but still just a kid.

We need a back for of Debuchy, Hummels, Kos and Gibbs with subs of Chambers, BGF and Monreal…IMO

4.) 22 Dec 2014 15:44:22
To be honest Chambers at RB is probably one of our lesser problems, I would have stuck with Bellerin at RB and kept Debuchy at CB.

Our problem as I said a few weeks ago is a spine of Szczesny, Mertesacker, Arteta and Giroud, we are extremely unlikely to win anything with those in the team.

Whilst Mertesacker is simply terrible Arteta, Giroud and Szczesny whilst decent players are not going to take us to the next level. I won't even bother giving my opinion of Welbeck.

I've lost count of how many times Szczesny has thrown us into trouble, attacking mids have waltzed passed Arteta or Giroud has taken a swing and a miss or failed to connect with a headed chance.

Add Wenger into the mix who for me now is pretty much done, a transfer window of epic proportions about the only thing that will save him now.

To allow Chambers to get a weekly toasting, to play Ozil out of position, to take 1 point out of 9 against a woeful United is shameful.

We have become last seasons United, an awful start from which they never recovered and we look no where near to recovering from a abject start.

This is when managers earn their corn and Wenger looks for all the world like he is going to be going hungry.

5.) Cheers for getting back to me guys. Seems you're entire squad has its own problems. I only brought it up as a lot of our first half play came from that wing, and seemingly anything meanginful that happened in the game came from your left hand side when Gibbs was able to get forward. I just wasn't sure if it's a weekly occurrence with chambers on the right. Seemed an odd move to buy debuchy to stick him in the middle. Is chambers no good in the centreback pairing?

6.) In regard to chambers, I feel he's too inexpierienced, not his fault he's only 19 and had only played 20 odd PL games previously. now with our injuries he's been expected to play pretty much every game with no real leader next to him guiding him and keeping him in check. as a liverpool fan I would be interested to know your opinions on carrol and downing obviously when you had them they looked pretty poor, now they look better than most of what youve got, do you think its down to rodgers not showing them enough love and belief or do you think they couldn't handle the pressure that came with the price tag and bigger expectations?

7.) I would have left Debuchy at RB, with Chambers moved to CB, where I believe he will end up. In reality we need two additional defenders in this window. In the summer I would replace Mertesacker & Monreal who lack the pace necessary at the top level.

8.) Gibbs bombs forward and is caught up field Mertesacker is a donkey and Chambers is young the midfield needs a Macherano to let the forward players florish and arsenal need a clinical striker If Mascherano and Howedes or Hummels werre brought in Arsenal would be very competitive again

Lads Liverpool fan here.

Given that (some peoples point of views) Jack Wilshere has stunted in his development, his injuries, the progression of Ramsey and having other midfielders. if a £20 million offer came in the summer from a team would you sell and buy another midfielder?

bobatron

1.) Yes jack I feel will never fulfill his potential, a move abroad might be the answer.

2.) Jacks a very good player and if he gets fit and can stay fit would be on that team sheet every time for me, we'd regret selling him.

3.) I would be very tempted.

4.) 20 mill? Nah, he's like sturridge and sterling. He might be a bit rubbish but he's got decent players around him which help him perform. Well actually liverpool only have one decent player but same basic principle. I think we could milk some rich sugar daddies tit for 35m+. Remember the rubbish like Carroll and Henderson you've spent money on. In that market wilshere's probs worth 100m easily. Before you slate me by saying that you can't win the league with one bloke, yes you can utd did it for ages

5.) You seemed to take that a bit personally Saint?
It seems to me from your guys' reactions that that would be a tempting offer.
I was a big fan of jacks at first, but I don't feel like he will ever fill that potential he had. I think in Ramsey and Cazorla you have a much better centrefield pairing going forward.

Just a liverpool fans opinion though :)
Many thanks for replying guys. I was just trying to gauge where roughly the fans would price him.

6.) Why would we ditch him? We don't need the money, Ramsey and Ox need to be his inspiration as boy wonder has slipped into a squad player they have both emerged as major players this season, there'd be a long list of clubs if either of them was available.
Jack's fate is still in his own hands, just, he needs to answer his critics next season with his football not his mouth or fingers

7.) Saint that rubbish you are talking about are better than our rubbish and might just win the league, rubbish?

8.) I've said a few times now I would look to offload JW to the highest bidder should the opportunity arise. For me he offers very little and is no way a first pick for the starting 11.

Unfortunately I don't see Arsenal doing this. Perhaps the new manager will be able to get more out of JW?

9.) You asked for my opinion, so I gave it to you and backed it up.

10.) Saint if they finish higher than us you ain't backed it up.

11.) What? Have you not read or not understood what I've said? If they win it, which they will do, it will be solely because of Suarez, you can say what you like about sterling and sturridge scoring goals, but the truth is you could play any old crap around Suarez and they'd score goals and look good. I think coutinho's a decent player actually but other than him and Suarez their squad is embarressing

12.) Jack won't leave england, and I would'nt want him to go to another prem team.

hes touted to be the next gerrard.
whats the best gerrard has ever done?
oh that's right in one of his last seasons, so I think we give jack more time.

13.) Steven gerrard
FA Cup (2): 2000–01, 2005–06
League Cup (3): 2000–01, 2002–03, 2011–12
FA Community Shield (2): 2001, 2006
UEFA Champions League (1): 2004–05
UEFA Cup (1): 2000–01
UEFA Super Cup (2): 2001, 200i left out personal honours like ballon dor bronze pfa player of the year and potentially this years league
jack wilshire 0
not slating jack looks a good player to me I think be foolish to get rid but if your going to say what has stevie g done take a look slighlty more than your suggesting

14.) Saint I asked your opinion about JW, not henderson and carrol and liverpool's personic purchasing policy under kenny. But thanks for your input there.

For what it's worth there though, I'd take Henderson in a heartbeat over JW, based on this season

{Ed025's Note - would you really bob?..not for me mate..

15.) Ed25, on this season definitely. Henderson has been brilliant, and in the games he's played for England, looked much better for me.

Hi gents,
Just popping over from the Liverpool page. I've looked at your march fixtures.wow I don't envy you guys. What points will you be looking to achieve in that month? I think if you guys get above 9 points, you've done really well, as that's a tough set, and it isn't me trying to put a slight on your squad which is pretty strong.

bobatron

1.) If we want to challenge for the title then 13 points with a draw at soton but 11 for top 4 will do

2.) Hi Bobatron,

Yes mate march is a tough one.

I think Stoke(A) and Swansea (H) are must-wins.
We have to beat Tottenham (A), minimum draw Chelsea (A) and beat Man City (H).

So, that's 13 points, a very tall order but if we have any pretentions of winning the league than 13 is a minimum requirement mate.

3.) Stoke and swansea I don't think you can afford to slip up at all(and don't expect you too). I think this month could really take it toll on the squad too if there's any injuries. 13 points and you've done really well for me and solidified champs league as you're dragging Chelsea and City into the dog fight even more.

Always a pleasure hearing back from you guys, and good luck in the fixtures. Especially vs Bayern, I always support the home teams in champs league regardless of rivalries!

Hi gents, particularly Dagenham Gunner

I'm a liverpool fan, just popping over from the liverpool board.

I didn't get a chance to watch the games on Sunday. seen the teamsheet on flashcores that has the ox as a dm, did he really play this role? I would have expected cazorla to play that position out of the lineup, given injuries to ramsey and wilshere and no flamini. If he played that position did he play well and do his defensive duties?

Also do you guys expect a to play a full strength team in all your upcoming fixtures? Or do you think you will field a weakened team in the FA cup?

It's good to see you boys doing well!

bobatron

1.) Ox was played centrally beside Arteta, with Arteta staying deep and allowing Ox to go forward. So more of a box to box midfielder. Up until now he has been deployed as a wide player, but Wenger and himself sees him as a central player in the future. It was nice to see his brace yesterday coming from the left.

As far as the F.A cup is concerned I would like Wenger to take it very seriously, and I think he will. We have enough good midfielders to put out a strong midfield, and any serious changes will come if there are any niggles. If there are changes my money would be on Bendtner, Vermaelan,
Fabianski, but I hope not.
Flybo

2.) In answer to the Ox question, playing alongside Arteta gave him the opportunity to push forward, not in a defensive role.

As far as the Liverpool games go, we need to rest some players against them as we have big games in the next 6 weeks. I wouldn't want to break up our centre backs, I would expect Giroud, Ozil, Cazorla and possibly one or two others to be rotated so they're fit against the big teams.

3.) Hi Bobatron,

Yes, he sort of played alongside Arteta, but he was the one who went forward all the time and Arteta sat back in the defensive mid role, hence the 2 goals for the Ox.

I honestly think Wenger will play his strongest team in probably all the games, maybe, resting a few for the FA Cup against you boys.

PS, nice to see you on here Bobatron, you and the Scouse boys are always welcome.

If they agreed at the next foul he's sent off, then why did he get another foul, before being substituted? This is a nothing debate for me,managers and players constantly harrass refs going into the tunnel,Wenger has done it countless times when I've watched, particularly when he feels other teams are booting you off the field, like he used to complain about several years ago. Fact is regardless of the convo, coquelin got away with anoter foul, didn't get sent off and thus it had no impact on the game, the ref ignored Pards.

As an LFC fan noseying at your page. I would agree, play walcott up front, and Alexis near him so they can press skrtel and Lovren. Our back line is slow, and dithers on the ball too often,we have been afforded that luxury in our last 2 games.
We've simply started lumping it up to benteke who has won his fair share of hearders and we've worked off that,I can't see us doing it if you put Mert on him. Teams are attacking specifically the Lovren Gomez partnership. Gomez isn't great at reading the cut inside, which if you play Ozil on the right,I think he could get away with ease from him and Lovren coming over constantly to help leaves such huge gaps between our 2 central defenders.
2 occurrences in our last 2 games have massively papers over the LFC cracks,a poor reffing decision and a stunner from couts.

I don't think your team will face the same LFC though that's played the last 2 games though(maybe defense and gk)It looks like we will be missing Hendo and may play Luca or Can inthe deep role, freeing up maybe milner to press along with Ibe Couts and Benteke. So the injury to the club captain may be a blessing in disguise for LFC. Firmino is still pretty much a wildcard at this point with only 10 minutes here and there. He may get a run out. I think you will know each sides chances more once the sides are released.

Having seen both sides play their recent 2 games,I beleive LFC will lose.(sadly)
