Hi Ed,
Any chance of Rabiot loan in January. Can't see us buying anyone.

ft280t

{Ed002's Note - Juventus, Arsenal and Chelsea enquired about Rabiot in 2013 and PSG were not keen to sell. Chelsea, Roma and Arsenal enquired in the summer of 2014 but all would see him as one for the future - and neither would commit to the guarantee of first team football that was being requested by the player. Roma tried for a deal in January 2015 but to no avail. For more than a year Rabiot has been bleating about not being in the first team at PSG and a move to any of the interested sides would not have resolve that in the short term. However, Arsenal, Spurs, Newcastle and Manchester City had him watched over during last season on a regular basis, and Spurs were keen on taking him on a loan to buy deal. Although previously backing away due to the request for a guarantee of playing time, talks did again happen with Juventus in July 2015. Roma, Spurs and Arsenal may rekindle their interest if PSG were to look to let him go in January. I am pretty sure if that is the case then Wenger will want to talk to the player (and his mother) to ensure that his head is in the right place. Chelsea simply saw him as too much grief in the end.}

Thanks Ed.

2.) 08 Dec 2015 06:38:49
His attitude worries me. Would be signing trouble? Or can his enthusiasm to play be harnessed and a top player emerge?

24 Jun 2015 15:03:45
Hey didn't Wenger have an interest in N'zonzi a couple years back. He wouldn't have re-ignited that hopefully not
Are you aware of any strikers we are interested in as of late

ft280t

23 Jun 2015 12:37:03

4.) 23 Jun 2015 16:38:37
You and the rest of us mate

5.) 23 Jun 2015 19:50:20
this was my question to the Eds today - any news if this has any merit? Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Arsenal - too much to hope for?

{Ed002's Note - There is remaining interest in Aubameyang from Juventus, Real Madrid and Roma and, unconfirmed, one or both of the Milan clubs might show an interest if available (and Dortmund are happy to see the back of him). The player has made it clear that he would like to move to Italy. However, that has not deterred Spurs who have had scouts at games. Arsenal and Valencia also had him watched earlier in the season so interest is possible.}

6.) 23 Jun 2015 20:32:01
Hope so - he would add something to the team and give Ozil another player to pick out with wonder passes

7.) 23 Jun 2015 20:37:55
thanks Ed

21 Jun 2015 18:44:52
So its looking likely Cech is going to sign. Apparently were enquiring bout Bender (Lars) and Carvalho, Bender prob more realistic. But who up front Martinez looks likely for Atleti. Maybe Lacazette. Any news on who were moving towards Eds.

Hello Eds,
Are we looking at any other players before the transfer window shuts. Will the Neymar transfer have a domino effect for transfers.

Any response is greatly appreciated.

ft280t

{Ed002's Note - As I have said over and over, yes. The transfer of Neymar will not have any impact on Arsenal.}

1.) 04 Aug 2017 15:15:02
Thanks Ed002.

This is what bugs me on this site. Why do people feel the need to ask the eds whatever pops into their head. It's a simple process which I use:
1.think of a question I want to ask
2.search the players name in the great big search bar
3.either give myself a pat on the back for going through that hard process and finding my answer or if no luck I ask then eds

You're welcome anyone that was struggling with this 😊😂.

3.) 04 Aug 2017 18:56:07
If it was a £1 a question or each poster was limited to 1 question per month I think the search engine would be in overdrive :-)

£50mil for Gylfi £45mil for Sanchez WTF.

ft280t

1.) 25 Jul 2017 22:51:24
That's why we don't sell him.

2.) 26 Jul 2017 07:29:21
If it's true PSG don't want Sanchez and Neymar Alexis might be running out of options, No Bayern move No PSG move and we don't want to sell to city, so who else might give us 50 million for him?
Next summer he can virtually pick any club he wants, far from hold onto him I think we might be stuck with him :-)
I don't think there is any chance he will sign a new deal and it could soon become a buyer's market.

3.) 26 Jul 2017 10:25:38
I suspect we would give you £50M for him but he doesn't sound like the kind of character we want.

Fees are now plain silly, £50M for Walker has to be the most ridiculous so far and if Gylfi goes for £50M then that will be right up there. Yes yes, you will throw Pogba and Lukaku at me but those guys are game changers, the amount of players being bought for £40M/ £50M is staggering.

4.) 26 Jul 2017 11:15:48
What games have they changed?

5.) 26 Jul 2017 12:10:24
Hey Stoner, I thought you had retired. Lukaku scores goals, and for teams not in the top 6, only Kane scored more last year, he's still young and will hopefully get better. I take the point on Pogba, we bough potential that has been sporadic but it i expect him to step up this year.

6.) 26 Jul 2017 13:17:23
Utd will back Mourinho àll they possibly can as with Fergie Moyes LVG it's up to the manager to produce the goods, same at city Chelsea Liverpool who financially back their manager and expect results for their investment.
Moyes chose not to spend and was sacked his choice LVG spent a fortune and didn't produce a title challenge so was replaced and the same will happen to Jose Klopp Conte and Pep and none of them can complain if they don't deliver.

7.) 26 Jul 2017 17:05:09
Haha AJH,

That is spooky because I've just given my 28 days notice to do exactly that. It's definitely a time will tell with both of them.

I'm still not 100% that Mourinho has got his mojo back so a huge season for him probably riding on the shoulders of those two.

They certainly have time on there side but I've not been truly convinced by either so far, you could say the same for Miki, I thought he was going to be awesome.

20 Aug 2015 06:20:14
Don't attack me but who thinks if we don't sign a def mid we could move Kos there when stuck he can tackle he's got pace and can pass and read the play. We've got Gabriel, Debuchy and Chambers for centre half. Just saying

ft280t

1.) 20 Aug 2015 08:38:18
A defensive midfielder normally comes with passing skills & I am not sure that Kos has those qualities.

2.) 20 Aug 2015 09:04:37
IMO We need a DM for that very reason. Lecoq cannot pass. He is a destroyer and able to play the short passes. His long passing is v.poor generally and this has always been the thing that held him back. We need his steel in certain games but in the majority of games we will need that and the ability to pass long and short. Another DM is a must, far more important than a striker. We have 4 players in the squad that have bagged 20+ goals for us in a season and plenty more that can chip in. Our frailty at shutting up shop did not disapear with Lecoq although vastly improved.

3.) 20 Aug 2015 09:46:34
Whilst I don't think it's a good idea it isn't a must that our defensive midfielder be able to spray the ball about as Coquelin is played beside Cazorla whose role it is to do that.

In saying that Coquelin has on a couple of occasions started a move with a long ball that has led to a goal, though it is not his greatest attribute, which Wenger himself has pointed out to him and told him to stick to what he is good at.

It was Coquelin's will to win for me that got him to involved against West Ham and Palace, he just needed to stick at doing what he does best, breaking or holding up play to allow us to get back into shape. He is learning all the time and will get better.

I personally would like to see another brought in but we have Arteta and is he any worse than Mikel at Chelsea or Fernando at City.

4.) 20 Aug 2015 11:45:41
I think le coq is trying to add long passes to his skill set. I have seen him in past few games pull a few decent ones off. You can see he understands that he needs to brush up on that to take him to next level. The boy is coming on leaps. That been said I would like some competition for him. Arteta and flam ain't good enough

5.) 20 Aug 2015 13:15:06
Sorry man, but I'm just not convinced there at all.
Not only is Koscielny not in any way shape or form, suited to midfield, but moving our best defender out of defence is basically asking to concede.
He may not be currently playing at the levels we've been used to, but he's still better than Per and Gabriel (though I guess seen as we never see Gabriel, it's debatable), chambers is still learning and Debuchy playing CB is silly, I know he's done it a bit, but he's not great there.
Yes, Sagna did a job for us back in the day, but debuchy just won't cut the mustard.

If we're going to sign a defensive mid, then it has to be exactly that.
Hopefully we will get one, but I'm not holding my breath!

{Ed001's Note - hasn't Chambers played defensive midfield in the past?}
