I have just read that we are going to enter contract talks with Jack 'fragile as glass' Wilshere.
I really like him but his ankle breaking every six months will not help our cause. We have a lot of dead wood in that squad earning far to much money as we did 3/4 yrs ago does anybody know David Deans telephone Number? he would get it sorted and dare I say sort the manager out too.

Ive heard a rumour that they are going to try jack in hobnail boots, put an electric force field round him to protect him and an armour plated suit. Still not sure that would work myself.

Ridiculous if you ask me. I remember watching him
Play in the emirates cup against Celtic or Rangers I think it was. When he was 16 and he looked incredible I thought he'd become a world beater then again when he played against Barcelona few years after he looked the real deal.
Since then he has not improved and has turned quite crap. Hasn't got the bones to tackle hard but yet his poor touch causes him to jump into many season ending injuries. I hope I get proven wrong.

Any truth in that we are interested in Grzegorz Krychowiak? I think that francis coquelin is starting to grow into that position so unless we buy a ready made "name brand" DM do we actually need him?
{Ed002's Note - Arsenal has sustained interest in Sevilla's Krychowiak - but he is not the first choice but they may return to him.}

why are other teams getting in early and doing deals and we are just linked here and there with no players in the bag. The three french players sounds fantastic but I cannot help think it's all lip service and we will sell our best players to make the bank balance look good and replace them with 15/ 20 millions prospects on way to much wages. if the season starts badly Arsen will be in for a torrid time.

It's early days but I do see what you mean. We started by signing a good lb. so it's positive. Hopefully they push on with more deals. We just got to be patient.

Arsenal may have even be in advanced talks with players already "signed", we're always overly secretive with transfers.
Hopefully Arsene and the board realise they need to spend or your correct our first bad loss and the fans will be protesting again.

Arsene has shocked me many many times before with his lack of being able or willing to see the wood for the trees but I doubt even the fa cup win or the run of wins against teams who Arsene's own words were " already on the beach " will cloud his judgement completely this time.
Even if Sanchez and Ozil were to both stay I'm sure he will at least try to show he's willing to do things differently to what hasn't been close to being premier league good enough for years by strengthening the squad quality.

It's not easy to put deals together for quality players, as their teams are reluctant to lose them and if they have to sell, they have to secure replacements, they want top prices and the players want top wages. Our sole deal to date Kolasinac had clearly been going on for some time before we announced the signing. We also have to see who departs, such as Ozil, Ox and Sanchez, before we can identify and sign replacements. n any event, Wenger warned us ony to expect 2 or 3 signings and we have already made one. I expect a replacement for Sanchez who appears to be departing . We probably need an extra centre back if we continue playing 3 at the back and a goalkeeper, if Ospina and Szczesny are bothe sold.

Whilst I understand the interest in Vardy, is he just a stopgap at a knockdown price or are we going to sign another striker, whilst Welbeck can do the job he has always been a sicknote as is Jack but we cannot continue in this vein as the quality we have will be off and we will always be second, third or fourth best.

It ain't quite a knockdown price, for a non resale player. Whether you look at it as a stop gap or whatever, if we win big then its done the job, if not then it hasnt, what's stopgap about that. If man u sign 35 year old ibra and win the league, is he a stopgap.
