Am I missing something? People seem to be okay Giroux leaving but surely he would of been perfect for last night's sort of game. Him upfront with laca, ozil and p.e.a
Then a new dm with either Jack or Aaron
Defence picks itself
This would also leave us with a few good players to bring off the bench!

P.s.
I'm so tired of iwobi.

I don't think people are too happy, but he was used to facilitate Auba coming to Arsenal.

And Iwobi is useless. Would rather have sold him and kept Theo, who scored 20 goals last season, more than Iwobi will ever score even if he stays with us for the next 10 seasons.

Hey. Is it true that Madrid have stopped pursuing keppa for some reason?
And if so would you expect us to go for him?
Cheers.

He's injured.

See a lot of people talking about Butland as an ideal cech replacement but I think keppa would be even better and I'm pretty sure he only has 6 months left on his contract.

Also would like to see draxler come in. Could really see this happening and might encourage mesut and Jack to get them contracts signed!

Kepa is a good keeper (Spain seem to be producing top keepers at the moment) but we had some fantastic years with an English GK at the base of our defense and therefore i would personally prefer we signed Butland, who i see as our future England no1.

I'm really excited to see what our new manager (whomever that may be) can get out of our current crop of players.
Players like mesut, lacazette and mustafi to name a few. Players that could and should be fantastic, but just can't consistently show it.

Agree some will improve and some will be replaced because they cant.

Everyone one seen ollys goal against Sweden. This guy really shows so much talent with his impressive finishing and deft touches. If only he could put away all of them easy chances and bang 25+ goals a season!

international is different to prem just ask peter crouch.

17 May 2017 11:28:14
At least if we can stop lukaku from scoring and alexi can get on the score sheet then someone can get an award this season!

kinloch

1.) 17 May 2017 14:57:35
Sorry kinloch Harry Kane will be seeing to that award.

2.) 17 May 2017 15:12:34
What hasn't the 5th place trophy been invented yet, well it will soon.

3.) 17 May 2017 16:14:36
On a more serious note, the six players in and around him down to hazard (15) are all out and out strikers, he's been on the wing half the season. Class act and we won't replace him. Where would we have finished if we didn't have him, doesn't bear thinking about, until next season.

4.) 17 May 2017 18:33:46
He's the best player in the prem by some way steve. Your also forgetting steve that bar lukaku all the others have far better players around them and have the chances put on a plate. Sanchez makes half of them himself. 10 assist as well. Honestly if we're going to pay 30 million for a new player I'd offer him that to resign a contract.

5.) 17 May 2017 20:08:45
Sano I can't agree more, I know its obscene but give him what he wants.

6.) 17 May 2017 22:45:41
Sanogo we have offered him mega wages. Its bigger than money with him. But he will double his salary if he moves i'm sure.

Does anyone else feel that with the season basically over, Wenger should just ask what players actually want to play for arsenal. We are a big club with good history and respected all over the world. If the players can't get themselves ramped up to play without an inspiration pep talk then they shouldn't be playing!

Why do companies all over the world have team leaders managers ect if people are all capable of motivating themselves constantly, the ability to motivate others to achieve their best consistently is a very highly sort after commodity which is why the people who can do it well are very highly paid and continuely being offered more money from competitors to join them.
Most people can be motivated if you push the right buttons but very few are capable of constantly motivating themselves without at least some kind of support.
In any industry if the man at the top loses the ability to get the best out of those he's responsible for then a down turn in productivity and quality of product produced is certain to follow and the longer it goes on the more difficult it becomes to change it back again.

2.) 14 Apr 2017 21:03:36
I agree with your post 100%. I just feel there are enough motivating factors around the football club to get the players playing properly. Surely not being embarrassed at the hands of palace is motivation enough. If ozil and co are leaving, they're going to have to show the big clubs that they are actually good enough.

3.) 14 Apr 2017 22:57:51
I understand what your saying KL mate but sometimes your can't keep the human nature element out of football, when people feel demotivated we just can't seem deliver our best no matter how much we'd like to.

some of our players are working thier notice and we all know what that's like even though you want to leave on a good note it's difficult to find top gear when you know your done with that job.

others just don't think they have been used to the best of their ability while some just don't think the people they work with on a daily basis are pulling thier weight or up to the job so have given up while many if not most think the bloke in charge is making bad decisions that effects their own capabilities to their own job well so again have mentally given up and just going through the motions.

We've all worked under good and bad bosses and we've all worked and carried workmates who aren't up the job or just don't put in the effort they should be the boss let's them get away with it which leads to unrest and a poor working atmosphere.

Does everyone realise that if we win today, we are 5th, 6 points behind 3rd with 2 games in hand.
its not by any means good but certainly not terrible.

Also we still need our good run in 2017, could see us going unbeaten for the rest of the season and taking 2nd.
Last part is probably ridiculous but let's have hope!

Yes but you have to start with a win. Fell at the first hurdle.

If I recall correctly didn't arsenal ladies ex manager (can't remember her name) go on to be the first female to manage a men's team?
Somewhere in lower league Scottish football.

I'm confident mustafi has more than he's shown and think he will do well with emery. In defence I would keep monreal kolasinic mustafi holding and the Greek lad. I love kos the boss but I feel we have abused him by making him the only reliable cb and it has caught up with him.

Personally I feel our best midfield 3 would include Ramsey and not ozil. I'd say a true dm with a box to box (Wilshere or xhaka could possibly fill this role) and then arron infront of them as an am. if ozil plays I say it has to web on the wing in games that we are looking to control.

The players you have suggested come in are all good candidates in my opinion. but you have lost 4 CBs and replaced them with one!
I believe we need to keep Ramsey, Wilshire and element, flogging just xhaka and bringing in Seri, Meyer and another DM.
Upfront I think you're right. Iwobi out on loan, welbeck gone and bring in a proper winger, then give the youth opportunities. We have a lot of good young talent from what I've seen.

Both laca and auba can play on the wing so depending on the side the ball is on the would float outwide. But I agree, there were quite a few wingers available that we could have got.
