It has just dawned on me, that all the negativity that is happening, and has been for a while. Some say deservedly. It may bring Wenger out of his ways and do some early business in the transfer market going that extra few quid and hopefully uniting the fans.

I do think the unrest has shocked the board. For me Sanchez will go, he wants the money, he is not playing with his heart as he did in the beginning. Sad but true I feel.

Ozil, well I don't know if he is an arsenal player. I think we have missed Caz, the little man passes, runs his heart out for the clubm

So trade in those two super stars, and a few bits of dead wood, and start buying 5 good quality players. I think all we need is:
GK, RB, CB, RW, CF.

We need players that want to play and not argue about how much they are getting.
At 52 I could still play, i might not be as quick as I was, but I would be clapped off for my effort. (well hopefully).

Just heard on the grape vine
That Danny dangerous welbeck told united that he wanted to leave for footballing reason, his own words,
He rang Sir alex, and said boss what can I do to improve my career.
well sir Alex said Dan, you need regular champions league football, You need to go to someone that will school you in the right ways of the great game.
Dan says where?
Sir alex says you need the professor of football, the man that has change our game today,
So that's why he came to arsenal, Well I can tell you, the dutch dork, went mad where are we going to get a player of your ability Danny.
So the tale goes that he got hold of falcash agent, and said we will pay 50k more than man city and he will have more rest time cause we are out of the carling cup, and we aren't even in the creme de la creme!l,
So that's the tale the every united fan doesn't want you to hear

Do you sell you jokes to the christmas cracker people
Because I think you have a talent for that market.

EDS
Have you heard arsenal are trying to sign a 15yr old welsh lad, Bobby Richards

welshgooner

{Ed025's Note - no mate..

1.) Rubbish.
Ed can you tip um off then .coz the little sod is costing me a fortune at home
lol

2.) 29 Jul 2014 19:47:26
Welsh,

I'm a non-profit making kind of person.

Bringing a smile to people's faces is all the profit I need, and despite what he say's, Ed025 loves me really, lol.

26 Mar 2014 06:30:56
Eds
can you cast any information on our finacal situation
coz we seem to have an awful lot of people saying things
Cheers

welshgooner

{Ed001's Note - I am not sure what is being said? All I know is that there is money there, a substantial amount of money to spend each window, but it is not being spent.}

1.) You don't need an ED to tell you what is all over the net, papers, common knowledge.

Manager+board to blame for buying the trash that they buy.

If i'm not mistaken our net spend was 33 million, as we had sales, two players as Free agents, and Ozil. well done indeed, while the other 100 million accrues interest, and the fans pay through their wallets.

2.) There's not that much money to spend and hasn't been for years. I'm baffled every time I see this.

Each and every one of us can go onto Arsenal Plc's site and read their books, see their finances, creditors and debts. You don't just look at the cash balance you look at how much they owe as well.

That cash balance figure is misleading as it's tied up with bonds and short-term investments that they need to generate income. Again all the figures are in the books.

Never rely on sport journalists to accurately interpret books. I'm a qualified accountant and read them every time they're released and can;t fathom how people think they've had money for the past few years.

Seriously everyone just go on the site and read the accounts. Do this everytime they're published. Don't just sit there and passively accept what people are telling you just to add their wider narrative.

It's been a great season. with a bit of disappointment in the last few weeks.
I think saliba was a big miss. would love to see the stats with him in the team and when he was injured.
We need to tie down a few players to long term contracts.
Bring in a few.
Cement our champions league place, and build from there.

Ps
What has happened to my mate, Raver.

1.) 26 May 2023 17:56:33
Good to see you Welshy

Rav was a tad naughty and got booted.

2.) 27 May 2023 01:11:53
As per whoscored end of last month:
Win rate = 77% with, 33% without
Goals scored = 2.3 with, 2.7 without
Goals conceded = 0.9 with, 2.2 without

He's player of the season material on this evidence Welsh!

Nice to see Harry putting his foot down
He wants to win something, lol great to see your rivals falling apart, captain wanting out. Deep down I think he wishes he never left us .

1.) 03 Aug 2021 14:18:09
Says the club who can't even compete top 6 anymore 🤣😂🤣 even if kane goes we are still guaranteed to beat and finish above you again, didn't even have a manager last season and still below us lol, same as ex Arsenal players they all leave to win the big prizes not FA cups,

2.) 03 Aug 2021 14:30:34
Just like Berbatov, Modric, Bale done with you
Oh dear I nearly forgot Sol Campbell.

3.) 03 Aug 2021 14:53:05
Buddy Raver, the best part is no one even takes you seriously. Mourinho a serial winner whose never gone trophyless- only one club he couldn't win a single trophy with, guess who that was?

4.) 03 Aug 2021 17:59:13
Got to a final and got sacked the same week lol.

5.) 03 Aug 2021 17:59:47
Nobody takes Arsenal seriously either 😂🤣😂.

6.) 03 Aug 2021 19:09:19
Not anymore Raver that's true, but at least most people can remember when we were taken seriously, as for Spurs we can all only take the historians words that it actually ever really happened at all.

Much like King Arthur and Robin Hood, rumours Rodney, that's all son, just rumours.

7.) 03 Aug 2021 19:22:56
Love the last line 62.

8.) 03 Aug 2021 19:53:13
I can remember the 80s Gunner 😘.

9.) 03 Aug 2021 20:38:40
Well done Raver mate, that's brilliant, what happened?

I know what didn't happen, and so do you mate 😆.

10.) 03 Aug 2021 20:48:44
Got to love uncle Albert Bill mate 😅🖒🖒🖒.

11.) 03 Aug 2021 21:41:56
Raver, you were last relavent not even as recent as the Victorian age.

Your captain is not turning upto training. Don't try to join our crisis party, you've got other issues.

12.) 03 Aug 2021 22:20:42
That's an astonishing stat IG mate, to think folklore tales of Spurs alleged one time succes are more closely connected to the invention of the printing press than the kindle.

13.) 04 Aug 2021 12:00:31
Brilliantly put G62 😂.

I'm glad Freddie has gone.
I think he has taken us backwards, caused unrest in the team, with senior players.
I was at the game as a guest, and spent the first half watching Aubameyang, he looked lost, he was pointing to were he wanted the ball.
He is a top player, he needs quick passes.

Some of our youth are not ready.
Nelson looked out of his depth, worked hard but not quite ready, Ran into two off our players, on two occasions
Smith Rowe Same as above lacked quality
Saka Worked hard and deservers his place
Wilock shocking

Everton where their for the taken.
Pepe, lacazette Auba 2nd half for me.
But Fickle Freddie wanted to show some power,
The results under him have been rubbish, We are a mid table team
Offer him the under 23 job. Or thank him for what he did as a player, As a manager he was hopeless.

It say a lot for our club
That at the end the top 3 linked to our club (paddy Power) .
Where all ex players.
Arsenal are killing me at the moment, they are breaking my heart.
Still we have a new year coming and Arteta to look forward too.

welshgooner

1.) 22 Dec 2019 16:47:08
Fredie and Mertesacker are both old Arsenal, fully paid up card carrying members of the Arsene/ Emery school of football management where players are either allowed to rule the roost and become totally unmotivated or Just plain confused and disillusioned.
Personally I'd get rid of all those who've been around during the cosy or confused Arsenal years.
Artetta has had time away and seen how things can be done differently and successfully the last thing he needs is people all around him dragging him back into the old Arsenal ways he left behind a few years back, he needs everyone fully on board with his new ways from day one anything will split the players into devisive pro old and pro new camps and finish Artetta chances before they've even began.
Pep and Jurgen are undisputed kings of their castles as was Fergie and all successful managers have to be.

2.) 22 Dec 2019 23:21:16
Freddiel ain't gone has he.

3.) 23 Dec 2019 08:04:36
Meant Freddie.

4.) 23 Dec 2019 12:49:50
Just to put a little balance on Freddie. As a player - he was never in the comfort years. Always turned up to big games and normally scored. Unfair criticism.

When he took over as manager - he had injuries, a team in crap form and no preseason unlike the useless Emery who people gave a season and a half to even though his first season was disastrous in terms of improving the defence.

Freddie had to borrow Per from the Acadamy and had no support eg analyst to watch opponents via scouting visits. Hardly fair - he dropped Laca, Luiz etc and personally thought he improved us in Emery despite squad, time and resources.

Seems a bit tough to judge an invincible who always delivered quite so quickly but put our head up our arses for a preseason, full season, preseason plus half a season with Emery.

I would say players who have put it in deserve a little more respect. Also, I believe it was Freddie saying please back me with resources or make an appointment - seems to love the club, make changes, brave and wanted to address weaknesses.

Love to all.

5.) 23 Dec 2019 21:00:14
I totally respect your right to feel how you feel SY mate, Fredie was an invincible and like all the invincibles gave us much pleasure we will never forget but living in the past has prevented us being all we could have been since May 2004.
Arsene servived at the very least 4 or 5 seasons longer than he should because of the past should we stay indebted to the invisibles forever no matter where that leads us mate?
It's just opinion mate and how right or wrong in am I don't know but I am convinced that until we restrict our sentiment abd appreciation to striclkly non footballing roles like club ambassadors match day hosts at the club we will continue to decline.

6.) 23 Dec 2019 21:19:23
I’m not saying give him the number 2 role but he’s done well with youngsters etc plus he shouldn’t be treated like the bad guy. That’s all. He’s still a loyal staff member who stepped up when we needed him. That’s all. Treat him with the respect he’s earned with us as a player and a coach.

{Ed025's Note - absolutely SY..

7.) 23 Dec 2019 22:22:08
I get what you are saying SY and of course he's not a bad guy but I genuinely don't think Fredie Mertesacker or anyone who's been involved with the old ways should be in postion of influence in the immediate future, harsh I agree but in my opinion necessary if we are to introduce a who new accepting and taking responsibility mentality.
Maybe it's just me but after the West ham and Brighton games Fredie sounded Just like Arsene and Emery telling a completely different story to the one we'd all Just witnessed for ourselves and I really struggle with people painting a false rosey story and trying to convince me what I just saw wasn't real and their version is.
I can handle sorry that was awful but I can't handle i thought we were brilliant for a 20 minutes spell and deserved more out of the game.

23 Nov 2019 23:37:44
Well well, as a few of the arsenal regs on here know I was a Wenger in fan.
I've sat quietly watching our team, watching this message board.

watching stuff being said about our great club. I see some of the wenger out boys have disappeared.

I would like to ask the few left, do they think we are better off?
do they think we are going forward?
Are they happy with what we have now?

welshgooner

1.) 24 Nov 2019 00:13:46
Welsh, this doesn't mean that it wasn't the right decision to let Wenger go. It was. Yes we are dreadful at the moment and Emery has to go but keeping Wenger wouldn't of brought us the success we wanted either.

So if you're trying to say I told you so it doesn't really work bud. I wanted Wenger out and I'm happy that we chose to move on, however it seems there are more pressing issues at the club that sit higher than the first team coach. Emery isn't the right man and there is plenty more change to come. Our time will come again and no doubt when we do succeed, you'll still want living in the world of Arsene 😬.

2.) 24 Nov 2019 00:59:04
Wenger had his time he had said that also, he had to go, but his replacement. well and yes I was fooled by that excellent unbeaten run we had last season but it’s clear he is out of his depth and needs to follow Wenger out the door.

3.) 24 Nov 2019 08:26:43
The simplest way I can find to answer the question is, if you have a car that was once brilliant and ran like a dream but over time became totally unreliable would it be time to change your car or because it was once brilliant keep it forever? Sentiment doesn't get you to work and back each day so you simply have to change cars, if the new car proves to be every bit as unreliable as the last do you sit in the lay by waiting for the AA thinking of how you'd rather be broken down waiting for the AA in yiur old car rather than this one or simply wish you had a car that did the job of getting you to work and back on a regular basis?
Arsene was brilliant in fact he was better than brilliant he was the best of the best we've ever had in his first 8 seasons but his last 8 showed he'd lost his touch and I was and still am very pleased he stopped being our manager any longer.

4.) 24 Nov 2019 10:10:26
Good point G62, and made easy for me to understand.
I was traveling back home after watching the game, its a 5 hours trip back. I can't remember, ever feeling so down. So maybe I was a little emotional. and must thank the Eds for not posting my 2nd rant, as I would feel embarrassed this morning.
Back to footie
3 fa cup wins
3 charity shield wins
I league cup final
Finishing 4th 3rd 4th 4th 3rd 2nd 5th 6th
I would take that for next 8 yrs.
I be leave we have a crap board,
I don't be leave our manager is crap, he has made it to quite a high standard, and I would love for him to be successful.
But what we are watching now, is pitiful, disgraceful, clueless.
I find my self wanting to jump the barrier and run up to him and ask, has he got any clue what he is doing. He is about as mush use as Steve bould was on the touch line.
So G62 in simple terms
if you own a rolls, don't go out and buy a Lada (harsh I know but im still in a bloody bad mood)
Banners, yes I agree with that even I was pulling my hair out at the end, but this season I'm bold because of dick.
Glen I wouldn't sack him I would just throw him out and tell him to go. lol
Our club is being run, By businessmen, now I was with paying our debt off to put us on a stable footing (which I'm sure everybody, credits Lord Wenger with that) , But the protests must start, with get the board out.
I had a big bet on us to be in the top two, I thought with Pepe, VAR, we might have a chance.
I don't think I have ever felt this low, in 49 yeas supporting the Great Gunners.

5.) 24 Nov 2019 12:06:40
Inwas Wenger in too, and would take him back, this clown is awful and has taking us so far back it’s going to take years to get back to where we were! all the players look like they don’t have a clue and are completely diffrent to what they have been.

6.) 24 Nov 2019 12:26:44
Good posts Welsh and you are entitled to a rant, it’s an opinion page, some seem to forget that.

7.) 24 Nov 2019 14:06:32
If by answering your question in my way I took away your right to an opinion Welsh then I genuinely apologise, I'm not quite sure how I did that as I genuinely thought I was only answering a question you had possed to everyone including me.
If you want to in future post any questions to everyone but G62 I will of course respect your wishes and not rely, I'm genuinely chilled either way mate.

8.) 24 Nov 2019 16:07:37
Comedy Gold

62 at times you are blinkered to others answers.

9.) 24 Nov 2019 16:34:23
Cool Banbury mate, I'm always open to self improvement please inform me how I'm blinked to other people's answers and if I can see how it do that I'm extremely open to change and always grateful of good honest helpful advice mate.
I'm honest enough to put my hands up where I'm wrong as long as I understand how and why?

10.) 24 Nov 2019 19:59:44
G62,
I look forward to your comments, I respect that we don't always see things the same way, So please comment as you see fit on any of my posts. I would love and encourage others too.

I just can see us going forward, with this board.
I want us to live with in our means, But I'm hearing we are funding other projects
Being one of the top premiership big boys as money goes, can't guarantee us anything but our last 5 games have been poor.
But it is the bad times that make the good times, but boy are we suffering now.

11.) 24 Nov 2019 21:27:44
Hi Welsh really appreciate your reply mate, on Arsenes first 8 seasons we are in 100% totally agreement the next 8 umm we have slightly different views and the last 7 I am the Jeremy to your Boris in our views :-)
But Emery has brought us full circle again back to full agreement where we could easily form a happy coalition in the Emery out campaign :-) .
My respect for Arsene as a person and for all he did for our club in the first half of his time with us is 99% of the reason I never wanted and would never want Jose Mourinho anywhere near Arsenal in an official capacity, no matter how good Jose might or might not be the totally unnecessary disrespectful way he treated Arsene will always make him a non starter for Arsenal in my opinion, it's a family thing we can rip each other to shreds but we don't let others get away with doing it :-)
