Hi Edoo2, how's it going?

Is there any chance you could do a brief run down on what could happen in the January transfer window

Surprising to see about Kiwior. I've always thought he was a great prospect. But still, given the Raya situation, FFP is probably always looming.

Are Arsenal now in for Joao Palhinha? If so what fee would Fulham want for him?

Would be a fantastic signing to play along side Rice.

I know ed002 said CP have no interest in selling but I reckon Michael Olise wouls be a good fit for us if he ever became available.

{Ed002's Note - Michael Olise (RW/AM) PSG and Manchester City want him as cover although the departure of Mahrez will mean more opportunities now, but their focus is now on another player. Crystal Palace has no real interest in selling but know that Chelsea want to take Olise back to Stamford Bridge and Olise has made clear that one day he wants to be playing with his brother. Down the list of AM players Chelsea want but they need a replacement for Ziyech and they will perhaps push for him.}

Just reading Arteta may be willing to let Ramsdale go if he asks for a transfer. For 50m!

I reckon this could be 1 of 3 things:.

1. Its male cow's waste.

2. He values him so highly he doesn't want him to go and so is pricing him out of the market.

3. He thinks he can get that for him as there are rumours linking him with other PL clubs.

Do you have any info please Ed002? You oreviously said Ramdale was biding his tume, has that changed?

I can't think of anyone (unless they are 18 or 38) in his position who would stay. I would expect him to leave for no less than £30m.

if I remember correctly he signed a new 5 years deal at the end of last season so we will be in a strong position to command that sort of fee for him.

he still has over half a season to fight for his place, I am a big Ramsdale fan, but I do feel he needs to put up a bit of a fight, he came in as a no 2 and saw no problem challenging the no.1.

we are 13 games into a prem season and people seem to be telling him to wave the white flag and move on. are we going to suggest that if he became England's no,1 he should change the country if a new keeper comes along and challenges him?

he is a good keeper, but he is not a keeper that is ever going to be at a top club without the question if he can be upgraded, so if he wants to play for the top top teams then that is something he is going to have to get used to. or he goes to a Wolves and has a good career without playing at the very top IMO.

I guess the team to look at 62 is Man city, which is the team we are all trying to beat and compete with.

John Stones has had to continually fight for his place with several expensive defenders coming into the team, no complaints just keeps fighting.

Jack Grealish went for £100 million - but no finds himself playing back up to the new guy, no complaints just gets on with it and fights.

I don't agree with the way Ramsdale has been dropped without really doing anything on the pitch wrong (obviously we don't know about behind closed doors) but I don't agree that any player should just walk and give up after 14 games of a season because they have lost their place, regardless of the reason if we want to be a top club.

I am a big ESR fan, but I am starting to wonder if he is going to another Jack Wilshire (also a player that I loved in an Arsenal shirt)

he seems to have never really had a sustained season without an injury and when you consider that he was ahead in his time scale of first team than Saka was and how far apart their careers look now I am for the first time starting to wonder if we would be better off moving on From ESR.

Which I really dislike saying out loud.

Me, I'd keep him as long as we can sign the players we really need. He was purchased to play a role that was too big for him. He could still have a role to play but we must address the obvious first.

If we had CM, CF and decent fast winger then keep him. If the 40m is stopping that as well as his ridiculous wage ( hopefully HR ran the negotiator thru a disciplinary for. ) then sell sell sell.

Just curious here, what role do you guys actually think he was brought in for? Back up for Ode? Replacement for Xhaka? Always thought of rice doing that role myself, that's when TP is fit holding the line anways, who knows, the guys looked p*ss poor wherever he's played.

Are Arsenal showing any interest in Vlahovic at the moment Ed?

{Ed002's Note - Dusan Vlahovic (S) Only joined in January 2022 but financial issues that Juventus now have and goalscoring problems will determine that he is sold in the summer – but they will hold out for €70M. Regardless of his loss of form, there will be a lot of interest if he is and his agent has approached Manchester United, Chelsea and PSG. Real Madrid are also keen but, like Chelsea, have preferred targets. Chelsea were open to an exchange of players last summer but right now there is no push as his wage demands are seen as excessive and they will look to other targets first. PSG have him as a possible Mbappe replacement - but not first choice - but don't lose sight of them. As a wildcard, Arsenal may rekindle interest but would likely want to include players in any deal. Juventus have already drawn up a list of potential replacements and are working on those.}

Spurs are trying to offer a structured way forward for the player who needs to stay where he is for a while. Brighton offered a new contract which places him out of bounds for some years whilst the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea look on.}
