So as predicted City get even closer to us and help the GD.

Prediction from me. City won't lose another game this season, in fact do not be surprised if they win all their remaining league and cup games, win the treble and win the league by 6 points at leaset.

This realism as we stand today, we are like a rabbit in headlights.

I'd get Anderson in from Forest and sit him in with Rice, Zubermendi goes to the bench.

Mo has to go.

Saka needs to stop looking at his bank balance and prove he is worth the money.

Kai has to go.

Vg needs to play second fiddle to a worldy.

Norgaard and Jesus will go.

They are the certainties, I'm undecided about the rest, mainly because they could be under performing due to instruction from Arteta.

As for the Manager he really really has to go BUT my guess is the board will give him one more season, I can really see that happening.

I will not be watching anymore PL games this season, I am so deflated with the whole thing, I will get phone updates but the frustration has beaten me.

I will watch the CL as I still believe we have a chance. Crazy thing to say after Saturday But!

So fellow Gooners, what do we do next Sunday
Go for it or park the bus.

12 Apr 2026 18:33:08
Fed up to the back teeth of parking the bus. Hate the way we play, dull, boring, and predictable. I think, even if we do manage to win one of the two trophies still available, there either has to be a change in philosophy or a change in manager.

Pass back to keeper, waste time, play for corners, pass backwards & hope for the best.

Tbh, if we were to get knocked out on Wednesday and lose on Sunday, I would want the Kroenkes to issue some form of statement concerning Arteta's future.

I've noticed City often play less than their best football in the first half and then boom đź’Ą a different animal 2nd half.

Perhaps Arteta should bear that in mind, and go for the goals next week, straight after kickoff? Easier said than done though when we don't seem to have anybody at the moment with their shooting boots on!

It really will be a hard slog from here to the end of the season, especially with all the noise from other fans!

Park the bus next week and still lose and we will be a laughing stock.

12 Apr 2026 20:00:17
Park the bus & Raya having a lot of the call while time wasting will put us in the wrong frame of mind, plus City will press us hard. It will be a mess.

We must approach the game positively but absolutely not lose the game.

0

12 Apr 2026 17:53:35
City showing how you get it done when it matters - Really hoped Chelsea would do us a favour. We couldn’t beat them with 10 men away and City 2 up…. We need to get a backbone.

He bigs up Eze all week, then doesn't play him Sy, it's a shambles.

0

12 Apr 2026 19:56:19
Funny that it's Jesus who is telling Eze to stop playing so deep & that he must dream for the ball so he gets it at least 20 times in a game.
Doesn't the boss see all the back passes, passing to keeper, bringing pressure onto us. sure he does.

Why didn't he ask what the hell are we doing, boys? Clearly it's in his plan.
He baffles me - Eze is the one player with star quality but we are ruining him with our play & him picking the ball up deep in midfield. Mission impossible.

Well done Jack. Nice to see an ex player doing well.

12 Apr 2026 18:12:31
Great result for him and Luton Debs, mate.

12 Apr 2026 13:31:10
Massive reshuffle needs to be done, get rid off our attack and start again, goes for “star boy” too he will never be the same player after his injury, Arteta “bring your lunch” why should we have to motivate the team that’s his job and to be honest if they need motivating when 9 points clear they can all feck off absolute joke of a club I’m fuming, no leaders no manager to motivate no winners or winning mentality ima ashamed to be an Arsenal fan today.

Hello, Dublin mate, like you I am fuming. That yesterday was a disgrace of a display.
Arteta was obviously taking aim at certain players when he said I am not going to publicly criticise certain players. As you rightly said, a win yesterday and it was ours. Trossard, White, Martinelli, Jesus can go. Saka has got too greedy since signing his new contract. I genuinely feel sorry for Vic, he gets hardly any service whatsoever.

Havertz, yeah, is a good player but is no midfielder. Zuba, Ode and Noorgard can't play a forward pass if their life depended on it. Zuba, I have yet to see why we chased him for so long. Another point I'd like to make is I know in the modern game there are a lot of assistants, but there seems to me, imo, a lot of chiefs and not enough Indians on the bench.
Take care Dublin mate.

Plenty more twists and turns to come, yet they are not making it easy. But, if it was easy, everyone would be top come the end of the season. Come on people, let's stay behind the team. Big game next week.

1

12 Apr 2026 16:31:45
G4E, it is not easy, and I get your point, but we are top because City didn't have a good first half, and Liverpool have never hit their form from last year. We haven't taken the league by storm by brushing aside opponents; some of the wins we were lucky to get.

We aren't demanding that we win every match, but we expect the team to show fight, and perform like a top side. We are crawling to the finish when we should have cantered.
Also, take your point that there are still twists and turns. How about a Chelsea win to start with?!

12 Apr 2026 11:59:53
Get rid of the leggo grease ball straight away and bring in Cesc.
And try and save the season.

I'd go for PSG manager or Simone. Unless, by some miracle, we win tht title, I still want him gone. This crap passing at the back is a joke. Personally, Chelsea beat City, it's done. If wr had won yesterday, it was ours. We lose this, it's a bigger laughingstock than Spurs going down, in my eyes.

0

12 Apr 2026 13:26:04
City beat Chelsea, meant to say.

0

12 Apr 2026 11:36:54
Arteta out! The whole club is an absolute bottle job, if we win anything from this point I’d be shocked! Even if by some miracle we win thr title which I don’t think we will. He still needs to go, bottle jobs, if we lose it from this point we are the biggest laughing stock in Premier League history, we are an embarrassment I’m ashamed.

Here's a stat I have just heard. In the last 5 years we have won just one game in the month of April. If correct, what does that tell you?

The win was Sporting last week.

I also heard another stat, Arteta's record in the FA Cup shows we have only beaten one Premier League side under Arteta's leadership.

Are we as good as we think we are? It really doesn't look like it. We are brilliant because Arsenal fans think we are.

1

11 Apr 2026 21:19:52
I see that, Banbury, mate.
Pep's best month is April.
Arteta's worst month is April.

We looked even worse on MOTD - Noni really makes poor decisions & Kai.

Think we make the change we need to & clear out some of the players.

Get proper fullbacks.

Get better front 3 & back up to those 3.

Attack: Sell Jesus, Ode, Kai, Vik, Martinelli, Noni and Trossard. (Given the number, we may need to keep hold of 2 max, but they will be on bench.)

Defence: Sell Cala & White.

Midfield: Sell Norgaard & Merino.

Ben White is an absolute joke, worries more about his looks than football. I genuinely hate it when he starts, he's crap.

“The pitch was a bit dry there to be honest so that didn’t help.”

3 shots on target.

36 back passes to our keeper who had ridiculous number of touches and wasted time.

Zero bottle or ambition.

Shear lack of attacking quality despite spending a lot of cash.

Please stop Eze dropping into back 4 to pick up the ball.

Please play to our strengths by playing more attacking football.

Please stop playing 4 CBs (only 3 today) and get some proper fullbacks and please get the LW and Striker you were meant to. Let’s sell a few of the attackers and get some clever fast players who are more direct.

Josh has a big decision to make because we need to invest far better and much more.

We’ve spent a lot and not recovered when sold. We are paying a lot on wages yet the players are lazy - lazy by playing lazy sideways slow passes…

We don’t have a winning mentality and Artetas win % when it counts is not good enough. He’s done this for years and been protected by many. Too many have backed every decision and won’t let him be challenged. Winning want to be challenged and questioned - there’s no cosy comfy winners sofa. You win then look to see how you can improve again. It’s relentless and it certainly doesn’t have a dog called win or surround themselves by yes men or easy to manage players.

Let’s get serious please.

We have been waiting 6 years for Arteta to deliver, sheds loads of cash but all we got to show for it is FA Cup in his first season which was his buffer from getting the sack, early on his reign.
Did it paper over the cracks like Wengers 3 late FA Cup Wins, I don't really know. 4 seasons 8 pts clear 9 games to go, scoring goals for fun, threw away a 2 goal lead at Liverpool and we went into free fall.
3 seasons ago to costly home loses to Hammers and the Villa proved costly. Villa game is when Arteta changed his tactics and we lost.

Last season 18 pts dropped from winning positions which is appalling if you are thinking of winning the prem. This season sheds spent in the summer and we are playing some of the most negative football I have ever seen. Bournemouth are a good side but you have to beat the good sides as well as the poor ones to win the prem.
So what saves Arteta?
Winning the prem
Winning the CL
Winning both.
Coming close in both doesn't save him.
Get rid and get Cesc in from Como.

11 Apr 2026 19:34:44
Do you honestly think Cesc would be the answer?
If the trigger is pulled on Arteta, we should be looking at Enrique.

1

11 Apr 2026 19:41:30
Would he leave PSG though, Glenn.

0

11 Apr 2026 20:45:13
Cesc isn't the answer. We need a true winner and someone ruthless. Is Cesc that man?

0

11 Apr 2026 23:38:04
I think most managers, including him, would jump at the chance of taking us, to be honest. Arteta is currently the third highest paid manager in world football, so I'm sure we could afford most as well.

11 Apr 2026 16:48:05
League is finished, we really are in freefall and have zero confidence and no clue how to put it right, in total contrast confidence is sky high for City, they have a trophy in the cabinet, virtually a gimme in the FA Cup and now 2 games in hand over us. A miracle is need for us to win the league.

Blame Arteta. Some of his selections have been bizarre; he has totally over played players and hence playing them into exhaustion.

Eze doesn't look the player he was, Kai has to go, Vic was never the solution.

For Raya has been brilliant.

Saka - poor.
Odegaard - v poor.
Rice has had less influence as the season has gone on.

Back four less solid since Xmas.

Jesus - has to go.

Max needs to be careful. It could have a detrimental effect on him.

As I said in the week, don't be surprised if City win the treble, that is looking highly likely now.
