Phew!
That was such a grind. Three points, but we laboured for them. Bournemouth need to get something out of the game tomorrow, else a lot of us will have heart attacks on Sunday.
Sorry G4E, I was wrong, I thought last two games we will fly out of the blocks and blow the teams away.

As someone once said "It doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a mile, a win is a win."

18 May 2026 22:30:39 True that, we are a step closer and earned the much needed three points tonight, so I will hold my thoughts until the end of the season. On to the last two! COYG!!
18 May 2026 09:39:30
Tonight's game is one of the biggest games we have faced in the last 20 years.
I'm hoping the team is up for a tough game and come out al gus blazing. We need to secure three points.
Come on you Gunners, let's get behind the team and get us through this season and become champions.

For sure, G4E, this is the most important game for us, which will define our next seasons as well.
Win tonight, and I think Bournemouth will do us a huge favour tomorrow.
If it goes to the last game, it will be nerve-racking, not only for the fans, but the team as well.

I think we will be surprised with Burnley's fight tonight. If our players are of the same mentality as Sy4 and Highbury, it may end up with custard on our faces. Hope the boys dig in deep.
Even a 1 nil win by our former top scorer OG corner free kick I don't mind, as long as we get the three points. Really nervous, contemplating missing the game, so I don't jinx it.

That's what we are discussing G4E, that mentality of we should 'somehow win the game' 'somehow win the league'. Against an already relegated team and a bottom half team with one eye on their European final, we are still not confident we will win. I understand the anxiety and apprehension from the previous seasons, but we must be fairly positive.
If we get custard on the face, then we definitely don't deserve to win. We should then just hope that City are deducted points for their ongoing charges and they hand over the trophy to us.
Having said that, it is a Must win game for us tonight!

I'm not self entitled, but they are relegated and we have a super important home game to almost tie up the league. I'm thinking we are 200% up for it, attack, fight, put bodies on the line like our lives depend on it. If not, then shame on Arteta and the players.

G4E, I would say the opposite. If you talk like that, your demands on our club, players, and manager aren't high enough. What would City do? We are either killers or we aren't. Games like this should be a home banker, or we got the wrong set up. See you on live chat. đ

Come on Chelsea - take City to extra time. Hats both teams as on financial steroids, but with 115 charges hanging over City, really hope they only win the League Cup and then get all trophies removed and relegated for cheating so much. Classless club with zero history.

Was told by a season ticket holder that those who missed out on Budapest tickets will get first dibs on Emirates tickets. He was also told that if demand is high, they might consider opening up the whole ground to screen it.

Met a prominent football general manager at a wedding recently who got a Champions League Final ticket through SFA. ÂŁ843 for the ticket. Wouldn't sell me it - believe me, I tried! No interest in us or PSG. đ¤ˇââď¸

Well, things don't change, do they, Sussex mate. One ticket website is offering them for EUR6000 up to EUR 9000.

Anyone that says they would not want a world class player like Mbappe at are on the left wing need to give your heads a shake! Yes he has an attitude, but if he brings 40 plus goals over from Spain or even gets half of that in the league thatâs would be a class signing, and now there are some links Iâd happily take him all day long just imagine him Gyokeres and Saka as a front 3 all the pressure be off Saka as the main man thatâs would be unstoppable.

Well, my head needs shaking then.

I think he will be a great addition, and we need some prima donnas like that. He's world class and will add lots of goals. His current situation at Madrid definitely makes him gettable and we'll repent if he ends up at City or Utd.

Not for me. When Arteta came in, he cleared all that s*** out the club, and made it an actual family-type atmosphere without the idiots that needed egos polished every 2mins. Now you can see absolute harmony in the entire squad.
If we had money to sign Mbappe, I'd much rather spend it on Kvarat of PSG, or Julian Alvarez. Obviously, it depends on if they are available or want to join.

To become a top-top club, the manager must be able to manage such players. Real Madrid wouldn't have been the club they are if they had shied away from signing such players. The harmony in the squad is great, but if we are not scoring goals and not winning anything, it will soon change.
With two games to go against bottom half teams, we are still sweating on whether we will win them or not. I feel this scenario would be completely different if we had a player like Mbappe in the team.

1 million pounds a week to win only the Golden Ball? My head must need a good shaking.

Vik would not be able to keep up - heâd need 100m head start or Mbappe would need to sit down for a few minutes for him to catch up. đ
Yes, we need some proper world class players to go to the next level, and a manager to handle them.
We canât have a manager who canât, or ships them out, costing us 100m to get them off our books.
We donât need a family friendly atmosphere, but rather a winning mentality.
Sell Kai and thatâs half of Mbappe wages (thatâs crazy when you think about it) .
Bring in the best and get the best manager as our wage bill and investment shows we have the resources, just do we have the ambition and stomach.
Doesnât mean Arteta hasnât done a great job.
Rewatched Last Dance. We need fighters like Rodman, star quality winners like MJ, and key players like Pippen who let others take the spotlight. It all started with a club willing to make a tough decision: they fired their coach who just won a significant trophy.
Doug was replaced by Phil Jackson - he signed a difficult player in Rodman without fear, and changed how they played despite having MJ.
Could Arteta manage a player like MJ or Rodman? If the Bulls were scared, then they wouldnât have that history.
MJ - response to: thereâs no I in team. âThere is an I in WIN!â We need that attitude.
Watch the detail and obsession it takes to be that great and take on teams that normally beat you - thatâs why âfamily friendlyâ players like White just arenât good enough.
Our captain certainly doesnât have it, and the team doesnât have that mentality. Question - does the club? Itâs a huge decision and risk, but the rewards are huge. Iâm sure any good manager could do a nice job with our foundation and finances.
If we want to go up a level then difficult decisions need to be made.
16 May 2026 08:25:26
Yes, it makes total sense to sign a player who was someone at one point. Who peaked too early. It will mess up the entire balance of the team. I don't want us to be that team. Hopefully win the prem and Champions League, and we will have the stars queuing up, and some of our own will be those stars. Come on you Gunners, 3 games to go. Hoping we don't take Burnley too lightly and expect them to roll over.
It would be big bragging rights if they got relegated and had a big hand in who the champions were. Last 3 games, we must play them like they are all finals, although we have not had luck in the finals this year, I'm hoping this will change. Give it all we have got, lad and ladies, and let's get ready for what we have been dreaming about for so long.
