cannot understand why everyone wants to sign m'vila, yes he is a good player but his attitude is poor and if arsene doesn't feel he can control him then there is no point in buying him.

True that, plus no where has Wenger shown that he can control his players. So why buy damaged goods.

RVP was seen as damaged goods when he bought him and he didn't turn out to bad.

Tony Adams, Patrick Viera had attitude problems, Roy Keane also had this problem during his career. A team such as Arsenal once had players such as Viera that would stand up to anybody physically on and off the pitch which inspired confidence and security to the team. Arsenal a dimension of brute force as well as elegant class to them which in turn brought them the Premier League trophy in 03/04. Yes if the player is willing to come to Arsenal we assume he knows of Wenger and his development of youth and will work with Wenger in humility to perform well for the club and to progress with his football career. Arsenal have often been criticized of their lack of heart and spirit this player like Frimpong and Jack Wilshere are the characters in a Champions League final or Derby match that will rise up to the opposition and play there hearts out fearlessly. Sign him

"Nowhere has he shown he can control his players"?? Err, RvP? Fabregas was also a petulant little pratt. He's curbed plenty of players, on and off the pitch... let's not forget Tony Adams.
M'Vila's still relatively young and he has to grow up some time. He's still got 12 months on his international ban, this might have humbled him somewhat.
A defensive mid is exactly what we need!

Everyone always goes on about M'Vila's "bad attitude" but was what he did actually that bad? He broke curfew and went to nightclub, it's not like he kidnaps children and steals from the elderly.
If he were to sign for us he could be an important player for a number of years, it's silly to write off a player due to one youthful indiscretion.
If anything, the international ban would work in our favour, whilst other players are off with their countries Yann can sit at home with his feet up.
Stezza.

If arsene couldn't control him, he wouldn't sign him, he wouldn't waste 12 million on a player he couldn't control, he knows what he's doing

His attitude is fixable.
I think things will change once he gets out of Rennes. Its clear that Rennes and Mvilla are having trouble. Maybe a change in scenary is what both needs.

The best tony adams was when he was steaming on the pitch, with no fear a proper head banger lol. Wenger even said he could always smell beer on him. good lad tony.

Rennes chairman confirms that M'Vila has asked to leave the club and the destination will be either England or Russia.
Rangers have put forward a bid (probably rejected) whilst QPR have already had one rejected. Other three front-running clubs said to be interested are Arsenal, Tottenham and Zenit.
ASEG {Ed001's Note - the Rangers that are under a transfer embargo and unable to register new players over the age of 18 until September???}

Rangers have a transfer embargo until january 2014 and do you honestly think after what happened with them that they are willing to pay so much for one players and the wages he would be on! wisen up

Original poster here. Apologies for the confusion and my typo, I was referring to QPR as "Rangers" and accidentally re-wrote QPR again instead of Newcastle.
There is potential for more Newcastle involvement in the coming days.
ASEG. {Ed001's Note - got you, cheers for clearing that up, as it did have me confused.}

According to .com Moussa Sissoko could be allowed to leave Toulouse FC for just £2.8m. They also report we are interested along with Tottenham and Newcastle, could be a steal.

Players are cheap usually because they are pants. Please don't wish for any more pants to be added to our team.

I could be wrong but I'm sure he is out of contract at the end of the season. Which would explain a low fee. Worth a gamble I think

Apparently Sevilla's president was in London to negotiate the sale of Negredo. Can you confirm if Arsenal have any interest?

I think you find he joining the Toot. I yearn for the days when David Dein was at the helm, he was an ace negotiator. It seems Daniel Levy has similar ability.

He's wanted by Chelsea... Maybe the end of Torres?

I think most reports are mentioning spuds as potential buyers

Actually most sources quote that he is speaking to both us and Spurs. Bloody good player btw
Agree0

Since when has the bloody spurs become
far superior in squad depth to us. And how they operate in the transfer market. This is rubbish. We are going down hill. It's a joke!

Which goes to show how many people that post on here are wrong! It's a rumours site, not a "it looks like this will happen so I'm going to jump on the band wagon" site.

Walcott is done on a 4 and half year deal at 90k per week to be announced on friday.
Sources close to the club also hint that we might bid in the region of 8-10 million for m'vila before sunday with a view to bringing him in before chelsea

I don't believe that the financial terms will be the issue, but rather wengers belief as to whether he can be kept under control and his head down. No doubt over his ability though!

Hi Eds would you have any information about us signing Jérémy Toulalan? Could be a fantastic buy IMO he's really tough and reads the game very well. He's technical and knows how to make passes forward. The perfect guy for a counter attacking formation. If you don't know about him here's a sample...
