Fabregas could be on his way back guys. I didn't want to get my hopes up but I can't help it!

Apparently he has told Tito Vilanova he wants to come back so he can play every week and see his girlfriend and kid everyday (they live in London apparently)

*note: I am NOT an ITK, just spreading what I've heard*

Sadly, not going to happen.

Agree0 Disagree0

Espn reporting neither cesc or Higuain will come to arsenal.

Agree0 Disagree0

Actually there's still a very good chance it could happen.

Agree0 Disagree1

He will only leave barca if they dnt want him at the club, he staying in barca

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed, not happening, he's going nowhere

I think there is sons substance to thd story regarding his kids. The problem is where will he fit in if we do buy him. We need a ball winning midfielder not another creative player. let's assume he signs and we play 5 across the midfield. Carzola on the left, Walcott on the right and Cesc sitting behind the front man. That leaves Jack and Arteta playing along side us in the middle. In fantasy football this will be fine, and not taking away Artetas performances as a holding midfielder last season. All due respect, that's not his natural role. I feel it would be better buying a big aggressive defensive midfielder to sit alongside Arteta with jack pushed forward in the more offensive role. On the other hand buying both Cesc and a 6 ft 3 ball winning midfielder would show signs of ambition and strenghten the squad. The overriding problem seems to be the 5 across the middle living thd front man isolated. especially Giroud who often comes deep to fetch the ball and leaving us with no one in the box. A certain Argentinian forward could resolve that problem. What do you think guys. km

He said in the paper today he is staying with barca.

will not happen he will not leave this summer

Agree0 Disagree0

ESPN rarely source they're own information now they'll use other people's sources and sell stories. Higuain is more likely to join us than Juventus and Cesc well he would join because of his family situation.

Agree1 Disagree0

Cesc has been interviewed and told the world what a load of bs that is. He's staying in spain

Agree0 Disagree0

Hey, OP here

I actually think this could happen but wouldn't read much into any paper stories on this. Yesterday the Daily Mail said Fabregas has given Manchester United the green light to sign him, yet today they are saying the opposite.

I think Fabregas would fit in the team. People forget that at Barcelona he now plays as not only a CAM, but also on the wing and upfront. Also when Wilshere was in the youth teams his usual position was either as a CAM or on the right wing.

Remember a few years ago when we had Arshavin LW, Fabregas CAM and Nasri RW? Well I think this could happen with Cazorla, Fabregas and Wilshere.

Again though, I didn't want to get hoped up but i'm starting to believe this could actually be possible.

Agree1 Disagree0

Cesc say's that he "want's" to remain with Barcelona and not that he "will" remain with Barcelona. Big difference. Still don't fancy that Arsenal will nab him should he become available.

Agree0 Disagree0

Really not confident about either. Both have been rumors for a long time now and usually Arsenal deals are done in a couple of weeks max. Look at the M'Vila rumors that went round for 2 years. I'd bet a lot to say neither Cesc or Higuain will be at arsenal come Sept. If Cesc leaves barca, man u would be a much more likely place for him. Higuain will go Juve I think. I hope I'm wrong tho, but I just can't see these happening now they've gone on for so long

Just from trawling across the news:

Higuain to Juventus
Wenger refuses to pay £25 million for Jovetic - may move to Juve also
Gundogan staying at Dortmund
Grenier remains a target
Highly-rated Kondogbia a target
Sanogo a done deal
Cesar likely to sign imminently
Arsenal want Rooney but wages a problem

Believable72 Unbelievable40

Juventus said from last week they were to meet with Madrid yesterday, they've had talks as have we. In Jovetic's interview he admits Juventus has prioritized him over Tevez, Higuain and even Ibrahimavic. Him Tevez, Llroente plus Anelka, Vukivic etc that is enough strike force. Have hope still a deal for Higuain will pull through as stories circulating today we are willing to go 25m and 150k which is more than Juventus are offering plus he is guaranteed a starting role in our team and he'll be our main focus something Juventus can't offer. He said he wants to be loved and respected at his new club, they value Jovetic over him for one.

JJ

Agree0 Disagree0

Juve haven't really got the funds for jovetic or higuain. I doubt they'll have both. Especially when they're in for Tevez too.

Too many rumours to decipher what is actually happening.

But I'd prefer higuain myself

Agree1 Disagree1

If the papers are anything to go by (yeah. ), unless we're willing to pony up around 30 mil, a few of our main targets are going elsewhere. If the money is available though, surely it's time to start splashing the cash and take a hit to secure some world class players. Can't keep buying from the bargain bin forever.

Agree1 Disagree0

I am expecting another typical Wenger close-season. Plenty of speculation, perhaps more signings than before but still no/few big names brought in.

Agree1 Disagree0

Juve haven't got the money for ANYONE.

This entire "buy all the strikers" line is just that, a line.

They got Llorente on a free, they do not have the money for any of the ST's mentioned. They're pulling an "AFC" if you will.

"We tried to sign x player but unforunately. "

Simple as that.

Agree0 Disagree0

You do realise juvenile have money problems? It is extremely unlikely that they will be able to beat arsenal to either of those, let alone sign both. I think it is probable that we will sign higuain, but jovetic is unlikely; fiorentina are holding out for way more money than he is worth.

Hi Guys,

The arrival of Gonzalo Higuain is looking more and more likely by the day as I understand him and his agent met with Wenger in Paris but he has also met with Juventus representatives to discuss a possible move so we face big competition there, even though I don't think the deal will go through he would make a great signing as we lack a consistent clinical finisher in our side and I personally think he'd hit 20 next season if the deal is to go through.

Also I understand we are interested in 20m rated Dortmund CM Gundogan, he looks an exciting and energetic player but I don't think a CM/CAM is a place our team lacks quality. I think a CDM and a striker are essentials for us this window with Diaby injured and lacking the strength required just I front of the defence.

Dortmund have also today ruled out a move for Lewandowski to Bayern Munich as they do not want to sell to fellow title contenders which apparently 'opens doors' to a move to either United or Arsenal. This would be a longshot but would be great to land him and would certainty give a statement of intent that were not just 'Happy with fourth place'

Pipkin the Gunner {Ed027's Note - Hey southern gooner & Dave, nice to meet 3 of yourself

Believable26 Unbelievable44

The arrival of Higuain is looking even LESS likely by the day. Expect him to move to Juventus as soon as Real appoint a new manager.

Also, do not expect Gundogan - he won't be moving to England this season.

Lewandowski is a possibility

Looks like this close season might not be as exciting as thoughts.

Wenger still reluctant to spend

Agree1 Disagree1

Ha! Yes Ed!

Although, could they be 3 gooners using the same computer? e. g. brothers?

#benefitofthedoubt

:D {Ed027's Note - Maybe

Paul

Agree0 Disagree0

Another saddo caught in the act, nice one.

Agree0 Disagree0

3 different sign offs? or 3 diff people? lol

Agree1 Disagree0

Gundogan plays the diaby role for Dortmund, Gotze was their CAM, gundogan is a box to box guy

Agree0 Disagree0

Congrats you read the daily mail! what's with the "I" understand, we all do because it's in the papers and have to read that crap every day and funnily you believe it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Or could be from a company?

If not. BUSTED!!

Agree0 Disagree0

I love this, Wenger is being slated that he won't spend, when officially the transfer window hasn't opened yet!Patience!

Agree0 Disagree0

Gundogan can play cm/cam/cdm

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi eds, what is the latest on the Jovetic situation, all of a sudden i'm seeing stories that Chelsea have wrapped up a deal for him?

Brad {Ed029's Note - Chelsea has not "wrapped up" any deal for Jovetic.}

Believable20 Unbelievable50

He wants to go Juventus, Chelsea have shown a late interest.

Agree0 Disagree1

Arsenal won't pay the asking price. Jovetic is now likely to join Juventus

Agree0 Disagree0

Juventus are after him too
