He is for sale, there is a chance of a January move, but the asking price would need to come down to make any move possible. Previous interest from Monaco, Inter, Chelsea and Juventus has gone because of the price. Atletico Madrid are wary of losing Koke in the summer and may yet turn to Carvalho as a replacement.}

Real Madrid want to hold off on the transfer and the player is keen to stay at Cruzeiro until Real Madrid are ready to renew their interest. I agree with Ed totally Derby, if we sign an attacking player before what we desperately need I will cry.

Yep, why people are talking about signing strikers is completely beyond me, and he would not improve on what we have.

Obviously the immediate concern is defensively, but I still think we need a better striker than giroud or welbeck as they aren't good enough. Maybe with real competition giroud would up his game

Not good enough? Not good enough for what? The fantasy team in your head? If you do not think that Welbeck is good enough to play for Arsenal football club then you seriously haven't got a clue.

Not good enough to lead us to victory in the premiership of the CL, in my opinion. I didn't say Welbeck isn't good enough to play for us, I was implying he wasn't good enough to be our first choice striker if we want to improve on 4th place in the future.

Of course an attacker is least of our worrys but this is wenger we are talking about. he's a very good player though and will go onto a better team
