im not sure that gervinho will be a first team player i think that him and walcott will share the role as for cesc and nasri wenger came out saying yesterday that there both staying
gervinho signed already
i think maybe a spare gk as wenger has faith in scez
also cahill will probs move for 15 mil and wenger's a long term admirer
also benzema deal is looking good as we have bidded for him at a good price and mourinho said that hes not in his plans for next year
next year would be good as wilshere and other players will dramatically improve
cmon gunners

{Ed022's Note - We haven't bid for Benzema. Benzema and his management/agent met with Wenger at the Emirates the last week of June. Since then, nothing has happened.}

Believable8 Unbelievable10

Was benzema in the emirates in person and how good is your source for this?

Agree0 Disagree0

Um soz ed but good reliable reports are saying that we bidded 18 mil last week soz to prove ya wrong

{Ed022's Note - Good reliable reports?? The Sun or Tribalfootball...?}

The signing of gervinho has been one of the lowest key signings i have ever seen / heard. Even on the arsenal teletext page it just says in another statement " and arsenal have confirmed the signing of gervinho from lille" thats it
Not exactly got the footballing world talking has it?
Ike.

{Ed022's Note - It has been one of the weirdest transfers ever. Literally there's been no publicity, no announcement, no photocall with an Arsenal shirt. He's been signed and left behind whilst the rest of his team go on tour in Asia!}

Believable21 Unbelievable3

Hasnt he been sent home back to france to sort out his family etc?

Agree0 Disagree0

For a video of Gervinho including the arsenal photocall(not on official site yet) go to gunnerblog.com

Lets go for Mertesacker and Diego (who could replace Rosicky or Denilson).

In:
Gervinho £11 million
Mertesacker £8 million
Diego £9 million

Out:
Clichy £9 million
Squillici £3 million
Rosicky £3 million
Denilson £5 million
Bendtner £10 million

I posted earlier regarding Nasri (United fan ).Fergie just gave his press conference in Boston, asked about Nasri signing for United he said "hes not coming to us", make of this what you want but i reckon he may end up with the rest of the mercenaries at wastelands

Believable11 Unbelievable15

Nasri is expected to sing a new contract in the neext week, 3 or possibly 4 year deal.

After the signing of Gervinho we will definately require some reinforcements in defense Metersacker is a possible option and Jagielka is also on Wengers radar for around the 15m mark.

Believable12 Unbelievable9

The title of his contract song wil be money, money, money.

Agree0 Disagree0

Seriously did you see his demeanour when signing shirts on tour, was that a player who is going to sign a new contract?

Agree0 Disagree0

Seriously? You're gonna go w/ that one? lol.

They hadn't been off the plane long and were herded off the coach w/ their gear still in hand then sent down to sign autographs.

Every single member of the AFC Personnel was absolutely knackered

Agree0 Disagree0

To be honest, none of them looked that happy If Nasri doesn't sign in the next few weeks, we should sell him. £20m+ can't be ignored. Don't get me wrong, I hope he stays, but AFC can't another unhappy player going through the motions.

Would like this to be the team without spending unrealistic money and realistic transfers.

Szez
Sagna Vertonghen Vermaelen Cissokho
Gervinho Wishere Nasri Mata
Robin Benzema

Dot get me wrong would love to include Cesc in this but his heart is with Barca now and he doesn't owe us anything so good luck to the lad and we can build with the money we get from his sale and others

Believable20 Unbelievable9

There is no defensive midfielder in that team. I'd be very surprised if Song isn't still first choice next year.

mhc503

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm sorry but I have to disagree that Vertongen, Gervinho, Mata, Benzema, and Cissoko are realistic with our board and Arsene. That's likely to be near 80m in transfers. Even with Cesc leaving for 40m that seems a stretch

{Ed022's Note - Especially as reports suggest we only have £20m left for transfers after Gervinho. We all know Wenger loves a profit. Don't expect a spending spree!}

Agree0 Disagree0

Wenger has stated that there will be no external replacement for Gael Clichy so forget about Cissokho

{Ed022's Note - This is true. At the press conference today AW said "...We have Kieran, Armand and Thomas Vermaelen who can play left back if required..."

Personally. I like Gibbs as a player, just feel he's a bit fragile at the moment and I think TV5 is wasted at LB. Much better in my opinion being the heart of our defence...}

Agree0 Disagree0

No offence intended, but as I suspect like many on this site, you play the football manager game (When people start saying what positions players can play in, the many different one's... I get suspicious - unless they watch pretty extensively French, Belgium, Dutch football, etc they would never know that...)

This isn't fantasy but reality- wenger will spend 25-30 mill tops (that's including the 11-12 mill for gervinho) this season. So don't expect to see anything like that line up.

Agree0 Disagree0

Actually i though arsenal had saved up 50m and 30m of that given to arsene to spend on players.he has sold clichy for 7m and perhaps may sell more players.i am sure he will be aloud the money from player sales surely.

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Jul 2011 20:43:50
acc to @DarrenArsenal1 who was in the AST meeting we have 30 mill before player sales so tat means we have 20 mil after buying gervinho....he also confirms tat dortmund have won the race for bendtner.so yaaay

Chennai gooner

Believable13 Unbelievable6

30 million includes 1st year wages on new players so less than 20mill to spend now, probably a defender

Agree0 Disagree0

Plus £7m for clichy

Agree0 Disagree0

You have to include the money from Clichy, it's not clear whether that's before or after buying Gervinho but it's peanuts to what we should have.

Agree0 Disagree0

As dortmund have now said they are not in for Bendtner, Hamburg say they are interested

I am friends with Claudio Pizarro (W.Bremen ST) and he has confirmed Per Mertesacker is likely to leave the club and that there is a very big posiblity AFC willl be his next club as he wants CL.
On another note, he also mentioned he has seen Yesil kid play a few times and that he is amazing...I hope we sign him as it has been rumored to happen.

Let Cesc go for good money slash the cash on Mata and a CB and get Thiago as a part exchange Cesc will leave at one point soon may as well let him leave and put Nasri in his favourite position. No need for Benzema he is quality but so is RVP and I can't see them two together plus it would cost so much we probs could get a decent CB and Mata for the price of Benzema.

Believable15 Unbelievable10

What About When Rvp Is Injured

{Ed022's Note - If the last few seasons are anything to go by...he will...}

The trouble with letting Cesc go for good money is the money will only end up in the bank. Wenger wont spend it.

Hi Ed,
Please can you tell me if there is any truth in the rumours that arsenal are interested in the Belgium trio of Jan Vertonghen, Kevin De Bruyne, and Thorgan Hazard? I think they would be excellent signings. Very good young players are reletively unknown in Europe. Typical Wenger signings.
Thanks {Ed002's Note - Vertonghen has been of interest to Manchester City and Arsenal. de Bruyne is very likely to move to Chelsea. I don't see Thorgan Hazard leaving lens just yet, and if he does I suspect he will stay in norther France.}

Believable4 Unbelievable8

Thanks Ed002. I heard that Chelsea were favourites for De Bruyne but I've heard that we had spoken to Genk about him. Also Thorgan I heard was mentioned because Wenger likes Eden but won't pay 20m+ and believes Thorgan can be as good. Not from reliable sources hence the enquiry

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Jul 2011 17:13:28
arsenal will not be signing any1 till the sales of bendtner and almunia r completed, this is because it will free up some squad space as well as the wages.
expect vela to be bendtners replacement who i feel is very good but never given the chance.
heard arsenal will allow fabregas to leave for 30-35mil as long as thiago is part of the deal (direct replacement).
nasri is going to stay as he has been promised a top quality signing is being looked at- mata.
arsenal have been in negotiations with lille, who want a french def, arsenal looking to offer squallacci as part of any deal... but lille dont want to sell. apparently an agreement has been made that he will stay untill january at least and arsenal will have 1st choice.
many options are being looked at CB- cahill is the main target, others are jagielka and samba.

no chance of wenger replacing SCEZNEY so he'll stay in goal, while TV will be a big player for us next season there's rumours of soon a official bid will be made for MERTASACKER with GERVINHO just signed and also FABREGAS and NASRI staying for another season..

SCEZNEY

SAGNA TV MARTASACKER GIBBS

WILSHERE FABREGAS NASRI

GERVINHO RVP (MATA/BENZEMA?)

maybe a likely line-up for the start of next season, so we'll have a strong team.

Believable3 Unbelievable10

Fabregas ins leaving mate, and your rumour appears to have been compiled entirely by sky sports news stories. Although Mertesacker will be a good signing, hope that comes off, but perhaps Samba is stronger?

Gibbs is so weak at left back - for wenger to say we have him to rely on is a really poor statement of intent.

Great news, the deal for Cahill on the move, Coyle considering cash+ loan deal 4 Miquel or Bartley to replace him , or even Squillaci+cash if coyle wants him. Arsenal are the only team willing to come close to the price required by them, and also to give them quick options in defence. City was refused by Cahill and the liver is not playing CL football so not an option 4him. Arsenal need him bad, cause he's english and fits the home-grown rule I hope to see verthongen signed also, even if it happens only in January

Why do people keep saying they don't rate Mertesacker? :S, he is a brilliant Center back, i think he would be a great buy, hes tall, can header the ball, strong, who cares if he is slow?, he is the sort of Center Back Arsenal need.

I would also love to see Hangeland at Arsenal

Believable13 Unbelievable8

Hangaland is rubbish

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree that Mertesecker will be a brilliant buy, exactly what Arsenal need.

Agree0 Disagree0

Tbh I don't rate him ;) Seriously though I do really like him but would prefer many other targets ahead of him.

That said if we did sign him I would not be displeased that's for sure, just apprehensive to see if he could cope with the pace of the EPL.

With Gervinho coming to our way. This will allow wenger to have more option on the Wing..On the other hand, rises competition for Walcott and Arshavin.

We would required wings or flanks to accomplish our attacking football.. Gervinho, Walcott and Arshavin can rotate on both left n right side. This would reduce fatigue and agree with rotation in the squad.

Arsenal are always strong at the beginning of the season, however due to fatigue and injury, gunner slips of from top spot. Therefore, we require more players to be fit and lets have a rotation policy. This can allow more games for each player and also divert opponent to read our games

ARCO

Given the fact that AW has said we will not be signing a LB and that he is trying to get one or two more in i think its fair to say that a CB and GK are probably the only two new first team signings we will see this summer(apart from Gevinho).
Now i have no more inside information than anyone else on here but my money is on Gordon & Cahill.

what do you think?

Believable13 Unbelievable7

A GK? Are u serious?? We have possibly one of the best up and coming keepers in Woijech And why would Wenger spend money on a new GK and stop Szcezny's development?? Wake up m8
Obviously at least one of these two will be a CB and I believe the other will be either a CAM or Winger. Also Wenger said he wants to bring in one or two more quality signings. Not just signings. This could therefore mean that other players could come in who may not enter the first team line up immediately but do expect the one or two he is thinking about to go straight in to the first team

Agree0 Disagree0

Could be another striker as Gervinho and Chamackh both going African Cup

Agree0 Disagree0

A Gk because with Almunia leaving and Vito unproven we need another one in and preferably one with PL experience.
Young players and GK especially tend to go through dodgy periods during a season and therefore an experienced campaigner like Gordon or Schwartzer as back up would surely be a good thing? As for your statement about Schez i agree he has really potential to be a top GK but thats what it is at the moment. Potential.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gevinho is mainly a RM not a striker. I would thing Theo will get his chance up front this season.

1. Gervinho has signed ......... Good News
2. Cesc and Nasri staying ..... Good News if it happens
3. AW expects Miyaichi to be involved in 1st Team which means he will get a permit ... Good News
4. Some cash to come from Bendtner & Almunia .... Good News

WE NOW HAVE ENOUGH ATTACKERS SO LETS GET TO THE REAL PROBLEM

I still think we need 2 players at the back preferably 1. A good CB as TV may spend some time at LB
2. A CB / Def Midfielder as this will cover Song for the ACN & also allow Song cover at CB if required.

With minimum 2 players ( 3 would be great ) we would be set up really well. The only area of derence where we now have strong options is RB with Sagna , Jenkinson & Eboue ........ Wenger just needs to balance / cover the other areas and we will be well set up.

TM

Believable11 Unbelievable4

Money from bendtner and almunia, how much you expecting £25m lol you will get prob £10-12m for both and bendtner will provide most of that. that aint gonna help us we have money to spend just a dithering manager and IG is more pointless then a broken pencil

Cesc and nasri as good as gone, wenger came out and said what he has about the players to hike the price, as simple as that.

people seriously,
benzema isnt going to come to arsenal, and neither is any1 else other than maybe mertesacker ( who i dont rate, he is to slow) and another centre back, its wenger we are talking about here, he isnt going to spend 25 mil on benzema and 17 mil on cahill and 20 mil on mata, who i would love to see at arsenal but its just not gonna happen, think big yes but not that big.

Believable8 Unbelievable8

Well if you sit there and say 'come on it's AW of course he won't spend' then you have perhaps missed the fact that our owners ahve told him he has to spend, they have also made 43m available and so far we have spent 10 or 11 or Gervinho, we sold Clichy 7m and we're selling Bendtner and Almunia. So we'll still have 50odd million to spend on top of Gervinho, and some if not all will be spent.

Agree0 Disagree0

How do we all think Wilshire and Song will be used? Wilshire was our brightest player last season but Song (in my oppinion) is a top, top DM.

I can't think whats best:

Walcott/Gervinho - Cesc - Song - Wilshire - Nasri

Is what i'm thinking which will not leave any room for Benz to come into the squad? IF... Cesc and Nasri stay and stay fit then they are both in the starting line up, one of Gervinho or Walcott will start and I don't think we can afford to be without Song or Wilshire.

Mong out

Believable9 Unbelievable5

We'll most likely stick with 4-2-3-1 so:

Song - Wilshere
Walcott/Gervinho - Cesc/Nasri - Nasri/Mata
VanPersie

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Walcot will be a striker next this season. Gervhino on right nasri left if fabregas stays.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't htink Cesc will stay at all, but AW has to say he will to be able to ask a high price. Just like Torres going to Chelsea.

I'm seeing a 433 happening as Walcott said in an interview he is finally going to be played up the middle.

I'm picturing our strongest as:

Wojczek
LB Gibbs, CB Verm, CB New Signing, RB Sagna
ACM Wilshere, AM Nasri, DM Song
LS RVP, CS Walcott RW Gerv.

If we go 442 then I'm seeing

Shez
Gibbs, Verm, New, Sagna
Song, Wilshere, Nasri, Arshavin
RVP, Walcott/Gervinho/Chamakh

Agree0 Disagree0

Buy Mata

Agree0 Disagree0

We can easily get £50million+ of barca so we could get mata and someone else, hopefully cahill and/or benzema

Well it appears that bendtner and almunia are going...

will Wenger bring in a new striker and goalkeeper?

Or is Gervinho brought in to play wide and cover for striker?

IF Arsenal signed a good centre half (Cahill, samba, etc) and a striker (Benzema would be nice, but I doubt it) plus maybe mata (be a very good signing)and possibly an experienced goal keeper-

"The plan for left back is that we have Kieran Gibbs, Armand Traore and Thomas Vermaelen can play there too. So we have what we need, " said Wenger.

This all but confirms we won't be signing a new left back as i believe that Wenger would see this as a waste of money.

Other than that, I wouldn't be surprised if he makes a bid for per mertesacker - he only has 12 months left on his deal, has hinted he would enjoy a switch to the premier league and Arsenal could easily get him for anything like £8 million. Would be a good bit of business and Wenger's type of transfer deal

Believable15 Unbelievable2

We must not buy mertesacker as he is too slow and was thrown out of the german national team.It would be like buying another igor stepanovs.

Agree0 Disagree0

No point wasting money on a new LB, they all get the Ashley Cole syndrome anyway. Cliches definitely got it

To put the Miyaichi work permit issue to bed Wenger has stated that he expects him to push for the first team this coming season. obviously he has been granted one. Good news adding more depth to squad.

Also do you see Arsenal making a bid for Roger Johnson now that Wolves had a 7m bid accepted Ed? Quite cheap if you ask me. Would be good signing provided we sign Sakho too ;)

Steve {Ed002's Note - I don't see a bid for Johnson. Sakho is a no go now.}

Believable11 Unbelievable5

Thanks for the reply Ed. Why's Sakho a no go now? I feel he's exactly the steel we need at the back.

Steve {Ed002's Note - There are new owners at PSG and he has been given a pay rise and made captain.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Why is signing johnson a 'good signing' PROVIDED we sign sakho ? how are they linked ? Is mcDonalds food good PROVIDED you have caviar waiting for you at home? sakho is a top player, so yes, a good signing. Johnson is a good player, so yes, a good signing. They are both individual entities, not a buy 1 get 1 free.

This is a question about the squad - on the Arsenal site not long ago Walcott did an interview saying he's looking forward to his new central role. (So am I.)

Gervinho is presumably going on the right wing.

RVP is therefore either a left winger, or we are playing 442 and either Gerv or Walcott will be on the bench.

Surely RVP will be less effective on the left? Most of his goals come from cutting in onto his left foot....

Would RVP be better on the left or right?

Believable10 Unbelievable4

RvP scored most of his goals on his right foot last season actually.

Ben

Agree0 Disagree0

You are right, RVP is definitely better coming onto his left foot as opposed to being a left-winger, and I agree with you we should switch to being a 4-4-2 again with walcott and RVP up front

Agree0 Disagree0

I would think that there's some rotation to take into account and the also the fact that RVP, Cesc and Walcott will be injured for a bit this season. They might not all play together all the time.

Agree0 Disagree0

When I try and write a suggested formation I realise how much competition there is It's tough. We're going to need to rotate a lot.

Swap Deal diaby for defoe it on the cards. Nasri will sign 4 year deal 110.000 per week 100%. And Lansbury will go on loan to norwich.

Believable13 Unbelievable8

Abu Diaby is recovering fom ankle surgery

Agree0 Disagree0

How are you sure of this

Agree0 Disagree0

I highly rate defoe so to say that he can be swapped with diaby is a felony, nasri looks likely to go as well, and we have a wage cap if you didnt know

{Ed022's Note - I don't think there's any danger of Diaby breaking the wage cap. Or breaking sweat.}

So we finally announced the signing of Gervinho, not sure what to make of him if im honest. Im not exactly excited but hes probably better than alot of our existing attacking options on the bench. Hes certainly more direct and has alot of energy.
And will at least challenge Wenger to rotate the team more. He might just take Walcott's place on the right wing in fact.

Hopefully this will keep the AMG brigade happy for a while lol.
Eman. {Ed002's Note - Gervinho is fundamentally a right winger.}

Believable10 Unbelievable1

Thats what I thought, but many news sources say hes a striker? And he did score 15 goals, which is unlikely from a right wing position. Not disagreeing, just confused about where the guy plays.
Also ed how come most of my posts nowadays get put in the rumour section even when i click banter?
Eman. {Ed002's Note - Gervinho is a right winger. As for the "rumour" or "banter" bucket it is pretty random unless there are only a few posts (like Chelsea) when most goes to Rumour. Generally, if transfers are mentioned it should go to Rumour.}

On the Arsenal website about 5 weeks ago Walcott did an interview where he discussed AW's plans for him next season. Wenger's playing him down the middle. He won't be benched.

COBBLERS-GOONER....... First a moan. Come on guys, we all read the papers and can see that Samba might go to the Spurs, and Downing might come to the Emirates and that my aunties dog has had Ryan Giggs love-child, but stop posting them on here, not only are you wasting your own time and opening yourself up to replies like this asking you to SHUT UP, but your also wasting everyone elses time in reading them to find the good little rumours that appear every once in a while.......... Thank you, moan over

Now....... after the guys left for Malaysia, a strange little man in a suit, was seen going into the offices at Colney, rumour has it, that this strange little man was Gery Cahill's agent, and he cam for talks with officials about his move, rumour also has it that a seat on a flight to China has been booked (with extra leg room) on Thursday..... could Gary be joining the tour ??? .........COBBLERS-GOONER

in the papers 2day the gunners boss has confirmed nasri will stay at the emirates next season despite strong interest from both manchester and city. he also says that gervinho HAS signed for 11.5m and has started training at london colney. reason he hasnt gone to the asia tour is because he has done no training with the club.
plus on even better news wenger reports that both alumunia and bendtner aren't on the asia tour as they are in talks with other clubs and should be leaving very soon :)
ed do u have any news on defence signings? apprentley the spuds now what samba. seems as tho every 1 we are interested in a week later they are interested in them 2 ie gervinho cahill samba.

in arsene we trust {Ed002's Note - There is no new news at all aside from the manager's satement and Spurs reporteddly being interested in Samba. Perhaps Cahill is a better option.}

Believable11 Unbelievable3

LOL trouble is mate we dont that statement is not representative of the entire fanbase there is 1 moran at the emirates who still puts that banner up. We are actually voicing our concerns now and this phrase which has given AW an imortal status is not washing anymore, he needs to put up or f*** off we have a preseason tour without the signings we need for the upcoming season, luckily tho Denilson, Squillachi, Diaby and Traore are on the tour GREAT my excitement for the season is at boiling point.

According to reports this morning, Arsenal are convinced that the Bolton defender Gary Cahill is has been given an unrealistic valuation by Owen Coyle and have absolutely no interest in coming close to making a bid
Wenger believes he can get the giant centre-back for around £7m as he is entering the last 12 months of his contract at the Bundesliga club.

Hello Arsenal fans, this is information will be huge, so please pay attention and read it.

My father lives in Toulouse, France working for an airline comp ny 'Airbus'. We are both huge Arsenal fans. So, during last weekend on the saturday, we decied to go down to the driving range in Blagnac, north of Toulouse. After, the activity, we decided to grab a bite and there is a bakery close to the course. My dad, strangely told me that 'Clichy' mum owns the bakery, as Clichy was born in Tououse, so as we are huge fans of the gunners, we thought we might ask question if there is anybody in the bakery who would know about the Arsenal situation. I asked, and Clichy brother came and spoke to me, in fluent English, i asked about the reason Clichy left, he said "The lack of trophies at the Emirates & the team spirit is deprived", then i asked him about the Nasri and Cesc saga "Clichy, says that Nasri will stay, but if they don't win any silverware next year he is going to another club & Fabregas, i do not know about", and any other transfer spec he said "Gervinho and another player".

Don't believe me, if you do not want to, but that is true.

CG

Believable11 Unbelievable10

Well this could all have been said without the Clichy bakery story. Nobody on rumour filtering sites cares for these convoluted stories. You could have just said 'Nasri's staying but will leave next year if we don't win anything'. Clichy got sold because he has lost his drive and his confidence and we need to freshen up. And a 5 yr old fan could sit there and say the team has lost it's confidence.

Agree0 Disagree0

What Was The Bakery Called?

Agree0 Disagree0

Clichy has made a load of dough and that has risen to a load of bread. So of course it must be true that they own a bakery.
KJ

Agree0 Disagree0

I kinda doubt that Gael Clichy's brother would use their last name/surname when speaking about his own brother Gael, not to mention that all these "new" info are being ragged day by day on internet.

Ali

Agree0 Disagree0

Are people really going to this much effort to make a rumor. 1/10 terrible attempt.

Agree0 Disagree0

Clichy himself was the person causing the bad atmosphere around the training grd

Agree0 Disagree0

So we are to believe that Clichy's mother who was a nurse , and father who was a teacher have stopped all their jobs to become a baker.

Agree0 Disagree0

Told you would not believe it, as you think it is like the rest of the rumors, but i assure you this is different. Wikipedia Clichy if you don't believe me, or better yet visit Toulouse?

CG

Agree0 Disagree0

Gael Clichy wikipedia page (and I quote) - "Clichy was born in the city of Toulouse and was raised in Cit de l'Hers, a suburb in the southeastern part of the city. His mother, Jacqueline, is a medical nurse, while his father, Claude, of Martiniquais heritage, was an educator in the city." No mention of the bakery. Also there is no mention anywhere that he even has a brother...

Why do people make up stuff about their own club. it is completely pointless and annoys the hell out of everyone that visits this page

The spuds are bidding for Samba- 12 million apparently- Arsenal gonna lose out on him ?

Also, Arsenal are linked with Scott parker (think he would be a decent signing for Arsenal).

Believable10 Unbelievable10

Do we actually want him?
KJ

Agree0 Disagree0

Tottenham cannot spend until they sell. Also, Samba must realise that he will play second fiddle to 1st choice centre backs Gallas & Dawson. Parker, no thanks, an average overrated aging palyer, who was part of a team that was relegated last season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rather any of our current central defenders over Samba (maybe not Squlacii :) ). As for Parker.. LOL not a chance in hell Arsene will sign him.

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope so samba is quality

Agree0 Disagree0

Samba could be just what we need, or a defender in the style of Cahill or Dawson.

Parker would be a waste of time at Arsenal, the hype is not justified and est Ham were relegated - well if Parker was such a good holding mid then why did their defence have problems? Not fast enough, not strong enough, not talented enough for Arsenal or England 1st team.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would rather have a plank with a face drawn on it at CB than samba, if we get him, they should pay us the £10million

AW will NOT sell a single player he signed last season purely out of principle. Especially not someone who scored 13 goals for us in his first season when he spent over half of it on the bench. We need Chamakh for games where we need to play like stoke, wide crosses, if nothing else. He needs nurturing and he isn't going anywhere. All horse turd.
