Gustavo seems close
Hope so. Gus looks really good.
Let's hope so. The season opens in just 4 days and we have Vermaelen, Diaby, Ramsey and Walcott already injured - this is disastrous, anybody free to play Saturday afternoon, kit will be provided, but bring your own boots!

Don't claim to be ITK but I have this sneaky suspicion that Wenger may pull something major out the bag before the window closes. Hope I'm right
I said it before and I will say it again.
The new players in the 1st team this season will be
Gnarby - for Arshvin
Sanago - for Chamack
Zelalem - the new Fabergas
The fact that we beat City will only give Arsene more belief that he dose not need to bring in any BIG Money players
Diaby and Frimpong will be cover for Arteta - Arsene still rates both these players and to be fair when Diaby is fit, he is world class.
Wiltshire, Santi, Rosicky and Ramsey will contest for the other 2 spots and the creativity in the middle of the park and chip in with 20 plus goals as a unit
Giroud is the one, Arsene is banking on 20 plus goals with the Pod, The Ox and Theo to bring in another 40 between them
I thought that Ashely Williams was also coming in - but he is now cup tied for CL - as we let 2 Centre backs leave and now Miguel has gone out on loan, so I do expect at least one defender in, however this will be if Until January boys.

Sammy nelson. As a fellow Arsenal fan I feel compelled to help you. Please ask the ed for my email and i'll send you details of rehabilitation clinics, as I work in this field. To those of you who aren't sure why I know Sammy is suffering from something seriously affecting his mental state, re-read his post. He says Diaby is world class. That can't be just confusion, it has to be more serious.
Our squad is simply not big or good enough to compete on 4 fronts and I expect a feable effort to be made in both domestic cups (nothing new). I have been a fan of Wenger but surely no Manager should let the squad get so thin before the start of the season. We have no back up cenre half (with Verm out) and please do not let Chesney get injured because our number 2 keeper is just not good enough. There are players available, Williams and Cesar to name just 2 who would strenthen us but all the club want to do is "make do". When you consider the comments made by Ivan Gazidis about transfers etc, this is a sad situation.

Sammy nelson is spot on, when not injured and fit diaby is world class and that's why wenger persists with him for now. As for you glasgow go back to your own country and let the true fans talk

To the guy who suggested I go back to my own country. Is this really becoming behaviour of an Arsenal fan? If I was called isreali, Palestinian, Pakistani rangersgooner would it be acceptable to suggest I go back to my own country? Then why insult me because i'm from Glasgow? Our diverse and worldwide fanbase should be ncouraged. We aspire to be as globally popular as Man U etc. It's disgusting that you discriminate based on countries. Hopefully you'll have the guts to come back and apologise.

How do you not know that I am not in an institute and need care and that coming on these sights actually helps me to get better? That kind of statement dose not help and is insultng. Diaby - when fit - IMHO is world class, you don't think so, that is FINE but to insult me and then demand an apology from someone who has defended me is a little rich.

I agree with glasgowrangergooner. Who says he isn't a true fan, and who says you are? Having different opinions from other fans doesn't make one more or less of a fan of a club.

hi guys, on 31st july, I went through a list of players a member of the coaching staff told me were players that wenger wanted/is interested in. one of those, sahko at psg has according to l'equipe,
handed in a transfer request. he would be a signing of the stature of vieria. fingers crossed {Ed044's Note - Posted on another page by Ed02: Sakho is on the list of targets for Monaco. Ed, is it true that Arsenal have had a bid in the region of 15 - 18 million accepted for Gustavo. {Ed044's Note - Not at this time.}
Sky TV reporte yesterday evening we had 17.2 bid accepted and that we are in talks over Gustavo.

luis Gustavo to a medical on wednesday
Well
now that we have signed Mata, Hazard, and Higuain, it only seems logical that the next medical is Luis Gustavo on Wednesday.
Why do people do this ffs no one knows if or when a medical is booked or signed the only people that will know that are the staff at arsenal who deal with this stiff and if your going to try guessing you might aswell put someone will be signing and having a medical at arsenal on deadline day at least you have a chance of getting it right

I hope so. It's worrying that Spurs are so active this window. Honestly though I think Arsenal will at least have 2 players come in to emirates!
I haven't seen this on sky tv or on my tv app, though it is being reported by some of the more reliable papers telegraph etc. but way arsenal do transfers you would have to send 007 into get the info
Until a player signs I will not get excited as other clubs always seem to emerge at the last minute and snatch the players we want, simply because we dither. Even Wenger has now admitted that our squad is thin and with Verm, Diaby and now Rambo injured it is now a desperate situation.

wenger said a few weeks ago we are ready for quick deals so to make that happen offer the selling clubs valuation an then go in with a good personal offer for contract boom job done, not first bid at half the value then second bid at 4mil less. last week till we kick off an 2 weeks till the CL games get these players in this week get them in the team to help

Not being cynical but when we talk about our squad why do people keep mentioning diaby? I like the guy, he's top dollar and the closest thing we have had to vieira, but the guy is always injured, you will be lucky to get 10 games a season out of him. he pulls a hamstring just putting on his boots.
not being cynical, just realistic. wenger even sold song on the basis we have "diaby". if he was fit he would be one of the best midfielders in the prem, but alas.
