They are looking to fund replacements they have already identified. Rabiot will, like every other player, be offered to Newcastle. A third party has been instructed to find him a new home.}

Hey Ed. Could Arsenal be considering going for Tielemans if Arsenal can’t pull of Vlahovic deal. I know different positions and we still need a striker. I’m thinking from a financial point of view… (if we’re interested) .

{Ed002's Note - Bruno Guimaraes (DM) Lyon, like many French clubs were hit hard by the loss of broadcast revenue and may need to sell some of their more valuable assets even though they do not want to. Mr Mourinho tried to take the player Chelsea on more than one occasion and sustains his interest at Roma - and there is a good chance of an offer being made. Chelsea interest has moved elsewhere. Arsenal were keen but opted for Thomas Party and have no real need to add another DM right now. Napoli has an interest but prefer the cheaper and more versatile Nahitan Nandez. At the right price Lyon (something near €50M) will sell if they can find a suitable replacement - they may take a chance on a rising 21 year old who is being offered around at the moment.}

{Ed002's Note - Arthur Melo (CM/DM) Available - has not worked out in Europe. Barcelona skinned Juventus of Pjanic and cash and it has largely been a disaster in Turin. Juventus want to revamp the midfield with Arthur, McKennie, Ramsey and Rabiot all seen as surplus to requirements. All are for sale and all can be used in exchanges. The problem remains finding takers for the likes of these players who pull a total of €600k in weekly wages will be difficult - but there are mugs out there. Arsenal have asked after taking Arthur on loan - and that might be attractive if a buyer can't be found and Arsenal were to pay his wages. I am sure there is knocking on the door of St James Park.}

Dags I haven't watched much of Arthur but my friends, who watched a lot of Barcelona, raved about him. They were furious he was pushed out (they perceived him to be pushed out rather than unsettled, so make of that what you will) as they thought he was the glue that held the midfield together.
I've heard lots of comparisons to Xavi, but I think he was only expected to get better rather than be as good as Xavi already. Leaving Barcelona did not help his development.
If we can make him feel like he can play good football with us, I could see him easily replacing Xhaka in the medium term. As a loan signing with chance to buy, I hope he's more of an Odegaard than a Ceballos.
