Have just seen tweet saying that Usmanov is preparing to offer £14,000 per share to bring him over the 30% mark to force a formal takeover.Unfortunately Kronke has a 66.7 stake, does anyone know how much Kronke paid per share earlier this year.If it was less than £14,000,then it would make good finacial sense to sell his shares to Usmanov.

Pleaseee Let This Be True

Agree0 Disagree0

With the financial fair play rules i think that Usmanov money would be redundant, he's not going to be able to spend it! had he came in 1-2 years ago he could have got us through a difficult period alas i think his money would be coming too late.

Agree0 Disagree0

Does ffp affect on wages? usmanov could help us raising them so maybe we wouldn't lose so many stars anymore

Agree0 Disagree0

January??

Agree0 Disagree0

FFP means the club has to recoup what in spends each year. So if we spend 100m we have to recoup it all that year. It will mean an end to big name signings and high wages as we know, 'supposedly', and jokers like Tevez will have to take a pay cut for their clubs to break even. However, our profits are only calculated via player sales and not door sales etc. I don't know about commercial revenue either. So fi there is a loop hole that lets Usmanov pay the club with his media company for foreign tv rights, then he could spend what he wanted as long as he paid us a bit more haha. I don't really understand FFP as you can probably tell, I don't think anyone does.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not sure FFP has any bite to it, but can't claim to understand it either.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it was around 11,000 at the price he bought the shares for... This would hand Stan a tidy profit.

Gilo

Agree0 Disagree0

Well if I'm not mistaken we have just over 62000 shares. Now with a 66% share (I'm just rounding here, calculator is too far away) that's just under 41,000 shares. Now if he's paid 11,000 per share and is being offered 14,000 per share that's a nice profit of about £122,760. Now I don't know Silent Stan (obviously) but to me for a business of his calibre that for a years work is probably quite poor (he probably earns more than that in interest) but if he was a sensible man, which I hope he is, he would realise that if he turns this down he will only be getting less and less as time goes on. So fingers crossed Kronke sees senses and just sells to Usmanov who can send up back up into the big leagues!

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you sure that should'nt read £123m profit ?

Agree0 Disagree0

That is actually 123 million pounds profit, which for only one year is quite impressive

Agree0 Disagree0

Hes Not Trying To Buy Arsenal He's Just Trying To Buy Some Shares Of The Supporters Trust So He Can Get On The Board Then Well See What Happens From There

Agree0 Disagree0

Woops yes i confused myself by forgetting to add the extra zeros, so 123m profit is definitely enough to get him to go!

Agree0 Disagree0

Financial fair play is very complicated but from this year which is the first year of the FFP to be evaluated end of season.

There will be no penalties imposed but a assesment by UEFA to teams that do not meet the requirement to meet them.

The first 3 years a loss column of 45 million a year will be accepted. the following those 3 years it drops to 30 million loss and reduces every year to where it will be one day, aka the plan , clubs spend within their means.

It may seem like forever to have parity. but Clubs like Utd, chelsea, barcelona, inter, ac milan, city will have to curbe their spending as they have losses to clear first.

most teams outside of city would meet the requirements but that doesnt give them the 30mill + spending power they once had.

Teams like bayern and get this REAL MADRID make more money than they spend so they would be in a good position regardless.

Barcelona are currently churning out nearly 300 mill a year and if their youth comes thru they should be competetive for another 5-6 years break even and then be an even bigger powerhouse.

Arsenal are in a brilliant position, our revenues are 3rd best in the world. the only team in the FFP era to out buy us will still be madrid.

But considering we are showing profit every year or marginal losses, we have that 30 mill player at our disposal if necessary.

Agree0 Disagree0

These tweets are from a joker account so believe what you will very diffiuclt for him to get to 30% given AST holdings

Agree0 Disagree0

Mate It's All Over The Net

Agree0 Disagree0

If Barca's youth was all that they wouldn't have needed to spend £50+ million on Fabregas and Sanchez.

Agree0 Disagree0

Barcelona and Real Madrid makes BOATLOADS in TV money, which is why they are so dominant in spain (they get about 70+% of the TV money)

in england, the TV money is shared out equally between the 20 clubs (in the prem) which is why there's no gulf when Valencia (3rd last year IIRC) don't look half the team that Chelsea do

My source is expecting "a lot of money to be spent in January." We're really going to try hard to buy Goetze and M'Vila.

Ben

Believable48 Unbelievable17

Are u the one who already said we will do everything getting Götze? For the wing I would love Hazard or Shaqiri.

Agree0 Disagree0

Quite funny in fairness, before the end of last season, wenger/gazidis came out and said it was going to be a really busy transfer summer for Arsenal.

Now I see, wenger has come out and said that he wasnt expecting the summer to be so busy.

The guy is a walking contradiction, and to add, he said that the deals he made were not off the cuff, but well planned out in advance, taking time simply because of the selling team. Well, if they were planned out, then the summer was busy because thats how he planned it.

Cesc, samir, gael all leaving (plus bender, eboue, denilson) were all also expected.

Fact of the matter is, arsenal are not delivering what they say they will, when it comes to the buying and selling of players.

In response to this post, unless your source is arsene wenger or ivan gazidis (which it is not) - then in reality he/she has absolutely no idea what will happen in january.

I will put money on us signing nobody.

Daniel

Agree0 Disagree0

Be Serious Wengers A Liar And So
is Gazidis Different Is One Of Then Actually Cares About The Club

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it was a busy summer. maybe not as productive as we wanted buy a sensible summer.

Imagine liverpool buying 100mill worth of players and roughly worth just 40 mill.

or sunderland buying soo many players or stoke.

Our bad buy was benayon, but then hes a loanee and if we dont want him he is gone.

Buy Mertesacker? who here doesnt want him?
Gervinho? its only a matter of time before he adapts but we can see his passion for arsenal and he loves to play.

AOC - we already love this guy,
Ryo - we know he has it but he needs time
Andre Santos - has done better than gael clichy and gibbs has done even better, the only drawback is jenkinson as sagna replacement but hes got heart and hes a fighter...these are the kind of players we wanted.

Coqeulin? frimpong? i am impressed by what they bring.

we dont need massive changes, we are missing wilshere with who we would undoubtdly beat spurs and blackburn and be up 13 points instead of 7.

Vermalen is injured, koser too. we have not had a great start for many reasons but i think we are happier than last year to see whats on the field.

Denilson gone, almunia gone even for a month, bendtner gone, Clichy, nasri, cesc, eboue.

Players to go - Squillachi, rosicky, arshavin, chamakh, and diaby if coquelin and frimpong keep going.

All the players we wanted out are slowly out and replaced with better player with immense potential. all we need is to give them some time. lets judge end of season not right now.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wow, hearing that from Ben means it's got to have some merit. Really hope it works out like your source is reporting mate!

------------------

What are you even saying? Santos better than clichy ? GIBBS BETTER THAN CLICHY? Is this your first season supporting arsenal ? All I remember from jenkinson is an own goal and a red card - maybe I missed outstanding things he did for us so far this season?

A sensible summer would have been to keep cesc, gael, eboue and nick, and then also buy the people we did buy.

idiot on talksport-a.durhum says van persies house is up for sale,is he leaving to russia?unsuprised that he's talkng negative about us as usual

His house IS up for sale.

I've read somewhere on the internets that RvP has put his house for sale. {Ed007's Note - The house doesn't even look lived in. It has recently been refurbished. I wouldn't read too much into it just yet:

www.bleacherreport.com/tb/bbnAa

Believable10 Unbelievable5

Yeah I saw this, I think they also mentioned it on Le Grove - saying that h'll be leaving next summer so he's put his house up for sale 8 months early. That's kind of slanted view though although they may be absolutely right. It's pretty normal. I think he'll leave anyway so I'm not surprised.
Raz

Agree0 Disagree0

And I was on a plane back from Florence, with Frank Lampard on board. It doesnt mean he is joining Fiorentina!

Agree0 Disagree0

True, but even without his house for sale, we all know he's leaving!

Agree0 Disagree0

Looked to me like the house was empty too, but i think he will go and to be honest if the price is right let him as he's far to injury prone! Wenger always seem's to give the captaincy to players he's trying to convince to stay.

Agree0 Disagree0

I know, his transparency makes me cringe!

Agree0 Disagree0

... And I wonder why he was trying to convince van Persie to stay? Because he is our best player player maybe and also he is very expercienced internationally and at Arsenal, where would we have been without his goals last year?

Agree0 Disagree0

People who think we will be better off without robin van persie are deluded. Are we better off without cesc ? Coz apparently, if cesc didnt want to play at arsenal, we would be better off without him - but alas, look at our league position.
Same for samir. Same for gael. If robin leaves, its one more proven talent out the door, with another unproven player coming in as a replacement.

Today we're being linked with Hazard (Arsenal have comp from Madrid - no sh**), Hulk (we'll have to pay more than 23m - seeing as I am sure they stuck an 88m clause on him I don't think that's either bad or true), apparently Man U are also after our target Montolivo, Abdennour from Toulouse has said himself that we're tracking him, which means we probably aren't, and typically we are apparently interested in Plymouth's Matt Lecointe, as are Man U and Liverpool.

Believable20 Unbelievable2

I think wengers new target is a front man. Hulk seems like a realistic choice. No team will pay the 88 mill release clause.

Also teams like city, utd, liverpool, chelsea, barcelona, AC milan dont need a striker or are after another player, in madrids case neymar.

We may need to pony up close to 35 million to buy him. but porto own only 85% of his rights and have paid close to 19 mill euros. So Arsenal if they really are interested will have to pony up between 28-33 million to start the talks and then see about the third party agreement to buy him outright. Does that seem likely? i dont think so.

Unless we manage to sell persie for 35 million then i guess there is a chance.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well I think if we are happy to look at a def mid we don't need for 25 mil and goetze for 35mil and hazard for 30 mil then I think we'd definitely consider 30m for Hulk. Is he woth it though?

Agree0 Disagree0

For me hulk is exactly what we need. hes 25, he a big bully and he scores. Perfect combo of skill and size for EPL and arsenal.

Have persie play behind him and wilshere behind both of them.

Gervinho will get better with games, vermalen should be back soon so our back should be steady.

only flaw is the player to drive us aka wilshere is out until april.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hulk would be an awesome buy he honestly is a great player. Suited perfectly for the premiership. The only problem is he is rather selfish when it comes to passing and with him on the ball you often see shots flying high and wide.

Then again as represented by his 30 odd goals last season quite a few of them fly into the top corner as well!

At this point in time I would go for two big buys. Gotze/ Hazard/ Hulk in any combination. We would probably need to fork out about 60 million. But then again Liverpool did it last season and look where they were, not even in the Champions League and in pretty poor shape. Then again they did turn out with one Bentdner shaped donkey and a Uraguyan that all though brilliant, would kill his own Grandmother to win a penalty...
