Hi Ed,

Any idea if or when Jack will get a PL start? He's been playing well, and fingers crossed, fitness doesn'T seem to be an issue. Is he still a possible departure? Will we wait until season's end before renewing his contract?

{Ed001's Note - I have no idea when he will get a start, but it is unlikely he will leave with Ozil and Sanchez going.}

That's music to my ears. I would have one Jackie Wilshere to 10 ozil and Sanchez . I know a lot of people don't rate him but I think he's class. Obviously needs to grow up but on the odd occasion of magic I've seen shades of gazza in him!

I wouldn't disagree on the shades of Gaza comment Sanogo but fitness, attitude and consistency still have a huge questions mark over them at what age, 24? At the moment I wouldn't be looking to extend his contract beyond 1 season or we stand a very good chance of having yet another underachieving player on a great contract we can't shift even if we want to in the future.
Wether your a fan of Theo or not at 29 he's still only potentially good enough over a season but is armed with a contract that makes it impossible to part company even if we both wanted to.
We can't keep backing and backing players in thier middle 20s who are still unproven over a season with super long term contracts hoping they come good.

We obviously have to be more savy with the contract G62 but I think a year rolling contract could be the best thing for jack.

Would it be an idea to play him tomorrow and give Ramsey a rest after having played 2 International matches.
The same goes for Xhaka, with fit again Coquelin coming in for him and say Welbeck for Sanchez, who had a lonuey nng trip, as well as 2 matches.
Or would it be best to play our strongest team and ignore the risk of an injury, such as Mustafi's?

A rolling contact would seem the sensible option Sano mate, RG I think Le Coq/ Wilshere partnership is the closest we could currently come up with to the Caz/ Le Coq partnership that worked so well for us since it was formed back at City in Jan/ feb 2015, obviously injuries allowing of course.

I know people don't rate him D16 but he's lost his way somewhere and injurys haven't helped either but no one can say he isn't talented and full of potential. That game against Barcelona at 19 years old he wasn't just good he was world class in that game.

Defensive concerns, with the injury to Mustafi, Kolasinac being taken off during the international and Koscielny's chronic achilles injury. Ideally we need 2 players for each defensive position, so 10 in all. We have 9 listed on the official Arsenal site, of which Debuchy can be eliminated as Wenger won't play him. So only 8 defenders, At RB we only have Bellerin, the cover is Maitland-Niles (a 9th defender) who still doesn't look at all comfortable in the role.

At LB we have decent options in Kolasinac and Monreal, the problem is Monreal is currently playing at CB. At CB we have 5 plus Monreal who can play at CB and LB. This makes the sale of Gabriel without a replacement baffling, as he provided cover at CB and RB. With Mustafi out for at least a month, plus the need to manage Koscielny's injury, we are hard pushed and any injuries before the window opens would make things extremely difficult.

To put this into perspective before the window opens we have 14 league matches, 3 EL matches, 1 LC match, plus internationals and a possible futher LC match, a total of approx 21 matches. Assuming Mustafi is out that means 7 defenders, plus Maitland-Niles. Defensively we will be under a huge physical toll, with 5 required for each macth, there will be little scope for rest.

If he hasn't signed for anyone would Sagna be a good short term option, as he provides cover at RB and CB. Surely its worth bringing Debuchy in, as he can also cover at RB and CB. Either player could play in the LC and EL giving defenders well earned recovery periods.

Check your past 5-6 post RG. Apart from the one about ozil having no takers the rest have been pretty much the same. No defensive cover, mustafi injured, sold Cb's, sort at the back, were short at the back, mustafi is injured and were short at the back. Sold some CB's in the summer and were short at the back. Mustafi injured!

Just in case I'm missing something here are you concerned about us been short at the back 😏.

You noticed that too Sanogo and did you do a typo and actually meant 50 or 60. 🤔.
