Arsenal scouts were at the Fiorentina Bologna game at the weekend. I was told they were looking at Montolivo and Jovetic. Though the Fiorentina president says he expects Montolivo to sign a new contract but his agent says he doesnt want to discuss a new contract until after the winter break which in Italy ends on the 7th of January. As of the 1st of January other clubs can contact the player about signing a pre contract. My source reckons Wenger plans to use those 6 days to talk to Montolivo but a lot will depend on where Arsenal are in the league because his agent says he wants to play CL football and Milan are interested. They want Montolivo to replace Pirlo who went to Juve. As for Jovetic go's, he is a back up option. I assume to Hazard.

Maybe, but the scouts have watched Cahill 300 times and we haven't brought him

Dont be suprised if Kronke sells his shares after Christmas. He realises that he knows nothing about football, but will be happy to make a large profit. The next manager has already been selected by Arsenal with the help of wenger. wenger will step aside to rest a year to renew his commitment to football, with a possible executive role at arsenal in the future

Believable16 Unbelievable26

Big statements here is this a gut feel or based on real knowledge?

Where Did You Hear This??

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope so

Agree0 Disagree0

As much as i'd like to beleive this, i think there's a lot more to plunder for kronke to sell up - made 15m in sales over the summer alone - just wait til the stadiums paid off - we'll have the the highest operational profit in world football..

Agree0 Disagree0

If Kronke is a business man there is no chance he will sell up he must be coining it in owing to your wage top end.

doesent any one else think that if lille want a replacement for hazard we should offer £18 mil plus arshavin
1. getting rid of an old and useless player and replacing him with a better quality and a player with more pontential
2.not exactly breaking the bank
3. frees up £90 000 a week of wages that we could give to hazard
4.arshavin plays in more or less the same position as hazard for lille and will therefore be an ideal replacement

Good sense, but Arsene somehow has great love for Arshavin, doubt if he will let him go.

Agree0 Disagree0

You are really selling Arshavin to Lille with that analysis.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lille seem to be an ambitious club, and also a club that produces some great talent. Why would they want Arshavin? If I were Lille I'd take the money and spend it on more talent not quite as old as Arshavin. If we said 18m plus Walcott or something maybe they'd listen, but we wouldn't.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wouldnt it make more sense to offer Chamakh plus cash. He's not good enough to play in the Prem and its a waste of time and money keeping him but in Ligue 1 he plays well and its more his pace.

Agree0 Disagree0

Getting sick of the hazard rumours. absolutely ridiculous! he will NEVER come to us after our shocking start to the season. After watching our 8-2 demolition do you think he will be burning to come to us or by the end of the season when Real step in do you think he would prefer to go to the top level in spain, rather than us, who can't even get back into the champs league with our pathetic squad?

Agree0 Disagree0

Arseshavings will stay with you until his contract runs out imo

Wenger to make and audacious £35M bid for Fernando Torres in January. Also expect the signatures of Eden Hazard / Marvin Martin, Keisuke Honda, Gary Cahill and Yann M'Villa.

There's talk of Adam Johnson and a possible re-move for Emmanuel Adebayor?! Shock return!

Where you down the pub for lunch?

Agree0 Disagree0

Where did you hear this amazing transfer coup?Torres would have to take a massive wage reduction and as for the rest,we might get one,if we are still up there in the CL,and as for the Adeybayer re-joining,now I know this is a complete load of rubbish.sounds like you must have got your tablets mixed up today. Hazard, M'Villa and Cahill seem to be possibilities but the others I can't see happening, especially Torres and Adebeyor...

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha.

I heard Fabregas is coming in Jan for 5 million as he's already done enough at Barcelona...

Agree0 Disagree0

Were you high when you posted this?

Agree0 Disagree0

As far as Adebayor coming back to Arsenal is concerned, there's more chance of seeing Gaddaffi getting a warm welcome in Tripoli. No way.

Agree0 Disagree0

Unlikely that Chelsea would do business with us and I don't think he is finished at Chelsea yet. Although I think Torres may well be amazing for us and the type of striker we need to make us into real challengers.

Wages would also be a issue, so unless Torres is really unhappy there and wanted such a change it will not happen. It kind of depends what happens with him this year at Chelsea as to weather he may be available to purchase next summer, but will more likely go back to Spain if anything.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lies, lies and more lies.

So much bull.... Next Tevez will come to partner Torres.

Agree0 Disagree0

Back to the padded cell and put the nice warm jacket back on you've had your fun no go back and stare at the wall and dribble

Agree0 Disagree0

This is obviously crap, but if Torres has bad season (or boas doesnt play him), does anyone think a loan move next season a possibility? {Ed002's Note - It is not.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Arsenal will fall out of the top 4 because of their wage structure .Top European players will not come for these wages and we cannot compete with ManU. ManC and Chelsea. So we are destined to be a second tier club. Be prepared to loose Van Persie. It is the end of an Era
