Ed I am now growing increasingly worried about Podolski. I know the sun is not a reliable paper but please say he's not leaving. I remember u saying he needs an ankle op but is that really the case? If u could find out some stone cold evidence it would be much appreciated. {Ed001's Note - he is defo carrying an injury, that is why he has not been playing much. If you weren't fighting for a top 4 place, I believe he would have been ruled out for the end of the season while he recovered.}

I posted back in February about Alisher Usmanov and an unknown partner taking over AFC in the near future. I have now been told that the partner comes from the Middle East and is keen to take control with or without Usmanov, but probably wants the Uzbek on board for his shares and his experience.
I can not name my source, but it would be a very reliable and well connected man.
He again told me that it was a miracle it has been kept under the radar. He seems to think everybody knows but nobody is saying anything.
I have no vested interest here, just passing on what I was told. Make of it what you will, time will tell I suppose.
John.

Usmanov has bigger things to worry about than Arsenal at this time.

It's all over the papers and has been since march that a wealthy mid eastern country is looking to take over arsenal.
Also usmanov is selling off a huge stake he has in another company which has added speculation he is looking to bid for arsenal.

Wow, who can believe this, u know I think AFC maybe world`s the hardest team for sale, almost impossible to buy AFC due to it`s money lover owners. I know many people love many but AFC owners do not take care about AFC. AFC not interests them just money interests them, since as we all know owners haven`t spent enough money for transfer for a long time, but they`ve earnt so much besides AFC, and now I wish owners will start to spent what AFC needs or sell the club.

Ben -
My original post was in February. That comes before March. As I said, just passing on the info I received.

Just read Man City now have the jump on us on Mario Gotze. Looks like we're going to miss out on another future star. Then again. who knows.

He is already a star. I would love him 2 come 2 our club but I think he will stay at Dortmund even if his release clause is triggered. on the other hand, he has publicly stated his favourite teams are Arsenal and Barca

Agree1 Disagree1

Think you'll find United are best placed to sign Gotze in the summer of 2014, but interest from elsewhere could force their hand at an earlier stage say this summer or January (very unlikely).

Real serious interest though from them.

Agree0 Disagree1

I am a fan. But 35million being quoted I think is just too much for us. Think that kinda money would be best spent on other areas. Although would love to seem him in our shirt.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed's don't suppose you have any info regarding gotze {Ed029's Note - Related to what? Ed02 has explained elsewhere what the situation is as far as he knows.}

Agree0 Disagree1

Goetze, Lewandowski, etc are all fan dreams. They will eventually blame Wenger for not getting these players as if the the players are apples to be picked at will!

Agree1 Disagree0

No they aren't.

So everyone wants gotze to come but whose place would he take?Wilshere? Ramsey? Cazorla? i'd rather wenger spend the money on a top quality rb and gk, that's where we need reinforcement if sagna goes and we want the back 4 to have confidence in our keeper.

Agree0 Disagree2

It's amazing that people don't get the problem here. We will never be able to sign a player like goetze, not because of the transfer fee but because of wages. simple as that. end of discussion. we have to continue to fish around for "unknowns" who are good and not hyped by the media. Like Cazorla. not an unknown of course but media and brit fans had no idea who he was and i'd say many clubs as well. then a quick deal can be done. But not for goetze. too famous now. we should have got him two years ago.
