Why is it that every time we play a team and there is one player that plays moderately ok against us, they are suddenly a transfer target on here? He's ok, but even wenger has said we need to improve on what we already have, so he would have to be better than the Ox or Ryo or Theo or the Gerv to warrant us going for him, which frankly I don't think he is, barring Theo on occasion maybe.

I think Sessegnon is a great player, takes on players successfully, good final product and scores goals. This could be true however I think if Wenger goes for him he will probably get him for less than that! Sessegnon said he would move back to PSG though and the guys 27. I would say there is a possibility.

I think this arose from a Bendtner/Sessegnon swap deal rumour doing the rounds. Wenger will go for someone else, Sessegnon is good enough but a bit too old for how much he'd cost and on a long term deal.

From what i have been reading and youtube videos from after game press conf 2 weeks ago approx...regarding the RVP link with madrid and barcelona, Florentino Perez and rosell stated that RVP is a player both would love to have on their team.
Perez said that RVP is one of the best players this season, and madrid always look at their options. He said we want to win and we want to win for the next 10 years. Possibly implying that RVP is too old?
Barcelona have stated they have not made any approach for the player, and do so on the coaches authority. They also stated their belief in the youth system and a move away from spending millions in trying to reduce club debt, as the majority of the team is intact, its just a few minor pieces.
Doesnt look like RVP is going anywhere. Most teams around europe think of it as a one hit wonder for some reason...all the better for us.

They were in for Silva last year and will likely lock him up this summer unless Milan gives him a handsome raise.
Many consider him to be the best central defender in the world right now, although I don't know how you base that when he plays in Italy.
You want to find the best defenders in the world, go to England...imo

Madrid probably want him, the same as about every other club wants him and all the rest of the worlds top guys.
Nevermind, he's an Arsenal boy and hopefully always will be! if he does a Bergkamp and retires with Arsenal full respect given!

RVP will be 29 in August. It will be interesting to see how much interest there will be in a player entering his 30th year, with a dreadful injury record. If he wants to leave & we cannot secure a high transfer fee, we should allow him to play out the final year of his contract.
