and jenkinson ed.

so we need a gk, rb, lb, rw, and backup striker. bargain basement sale is now open.

wonder if reiss nelson and the others will be given an opportunity or if they are considered not ready.

have bayern won the race for nicolas pepe?

we need to offload mikhi and ozil, need a dybala player in that 10 position. although i'm now sure he suits our system.

im not too pleased by how emery has handled ozil. he has devalued his stock.

{Ed002's Note - I cannot answer questions like @won the race@ and the likes of Dyall will not be moving to Arsenal.}

A lot of high earners leaving there, or over earners I should say, hopefully boosting the war chest for the summer a bit. Hopefully 3-4 players come in, 2 defenders, one center mid and a right winger. That would be a very successful summer.

I hope we promote from within where possible.
Lichtsteiner -> Jordi Osei-Tutu
Elneny -> Ainsley Maitland-Niles
Welbeck -> Eddie Nketiah

Not to mention Nelson, Mavropanos, Pleguezelo, Willock, Saka, and Medley who have all impressed me when I've seen them play.
Avoiding bum signings like Mustafi and instead giving youth a chance like MU and Liverpool have should be our priority next season, leaving us plenty of money for a marquee signing or two. No point signing a bunch of dross who keep the youth players out of the side only to be shipped on at a loss 3 seasons later.

Couldn't have put it any better myself Wire. This also goes to nearly always buying from abroad, and ignoring anyone already playing in the premiership. I don't get it, as Mustafi and Xhaka have proved, just because they looked good in another league doesn't make them a success in the premiership. No guarantee that a premiership signing will succeed either of course, but at least they can hit the ground running, and don't take a season to get used to the changes in style, pace etc.
