Belhanda looks like a quality player and would fit in well with the team. Would like to see him join.
Don't expect Wenger to spend loads, he is still gonna go about business how he usually might tbh

Believable19 Unbelievable5

Belhanda is apparently priced at around 15-18mln.

This seems to be more in our price range than the Hazard's of the world. I think Wenger is still focussed on clearing out some of the loanee's, etc.

Does anyone know if Joel Campbell be returning back from loan next season, has he got his work permit sorted out?

Believable11 Unbelievable2

He plays nearly every game for the Costa Rican national team so he should be allowed a work permit for next season.

Sydney Gooner {Ed002's Note - It is not as simple as that. You are looking at 75% of the games over two years for a decently ranked country.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it's looking promising that he'll get a work permit, but it's certainly not sorted out quite yet. I'm pretty optimistic though, he's been playing quite a bit for the national team I think.

Ty

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope he turns out better than Kevin Campbell!

Agree0 Disagree0

Loool he's What 19 And I Reckon Hes Better Than Welbeck Already.

Agree0 Disagree0

Whats his loan spell been like? how many goals and games has he got?

just watching levante barca...

commentator said kone is a free in the summer....

whats peoples thought on him?

Believable0 Unbelievable21

Well i think someone should capture him for sure...
Ben

Agree0 Disagree0

Hes on loan from sevilla and his contract is up at the end of the season, he has been linked with the likes of wolves and birmingham in the past. Although may not be the worst back up and worth a look on a free

Agree0 Disagree0

Not after what he did to those kids in africa

With the names being mentioned to join arsenal, still can't see this being good enough to land us a top trophy. Manc's sides have been so weak this year (as CL has shown) with the players they will likely sign along with Chelsea. Again are best hope next season is likely 4th with a fight with Liverpool, can't see spud u don't likes as I believe there team will get torn apart in summer with Modric leaving which will turn make Bale leave as he said he would if they sell Modric.

Believable6 Unbelievable14

Lets hope they sell Modric then

Agree0 Disagree0

So negativity..come on..

Agree0 Disagree0

What a crock of s**t, whenever the team settled in and becamse a proper team and we had fit full backs we have been on title challenging form. The point next season is to get any signings done early, not to many and we will compete. That is a fact, we have the team just need a second striker and with Wilshere back we are set.

CT

Agree0 Disagree0

This is truly not meant as an anti spurs rant but realistically a lot of spurs fans must realise they are going to lose their manager, their best players in Bale and Modric as well as Adebayor. I just don't think they will be in the same champions league fight next season.

In Arsene I Trust.

Agree0 Disagree0

Is about a team balance and the manager believing again, that looks like whats happening at The Arsenal
look a City spend £100's of millions, no Premiership, no Champs Lge trophy in the cupboard

Agree0 Disagree0

Lads i think this is a liverpool fan dont buy into this crap.Honestly, contending with liverpool for 4th place! They are a cup team now they dont deserve to be called top 6 anymore and they wasted money on medium level players (henderson, downing, adam etc)

Rumours from Amsterdam journalists are:
a) Vertonghen is basically done, personal terms agreed, just a fee being set

b) Solid interest in Christian Eriksen, wenger admires him a lot, and AFC considering bringing both to the Emirates.

Firstly, this has nothing to do with the reports on Caughtoffside nor Javier Perez.

Secondly, I'm just saying what I've heard so don't shoot the messenger. This is all real as far as I know. So shut up and revel in the fantasy signings ;)

Row Z

Believable15 Unbelievable6

Is he to replace Walcott, how many wingers do we need.
Walcott
Ox
Poldolski (possible)
RYO
Eriksen (rumour)

Agree0 Disagree0

^
Erikson is an attacking mid mate, Not a winger.

And poldi is a striker, albeit I admit does and can play on the wing.

D

Agree0 Disagree0

I think I remember Erikson coming out and saying he will remain at Ajax.

Plus I haven't been amazed by Ajax this season.

In Arsene I Trust.

Agree0 Disagree0

While I would love this to be true we have to accept a few things about Eriksen.

Ajax will definitely try and hold on to him.
If they do let him go, it will only be after the Euros.

His price tag is estimated around 25. While I love this player, I simply don't think we can complete with some of the other interested teams.

from the game against wolves,

theo walcott: i just get tht feeling he is developing and soon could the player in front of rvp in a 4-4-2 formation, it seems to work for those two

song: he may not be clever defensively but on a couple of occasions he was strong, specially in one challenge where he chased down three players and finally got the ball..maybe just maybe getting somewhere to becoming the next viera..

fingers crossed

MrD.

Believable11 Unbelievable5

MrD?

Copying my sign off eh?!? Well I know where you post! It is on!!

You've made a powerful enemy here!

D

(I'm only screwing with you mate, but I saw an argument about sign offs on here the other day, and thought I'd take a chance to take start a wind up here!)

Just came on here to state the obvious because all over the net today and over the last week I have seen loads of rumours and feel I should clear this up using common sense and my knowledge of Arsenal Football Club as I have had previous affiliation to the club.

Arsenal have signed Podolski and Vertonghen. I know this. Everyone at Arsenal Football Club knows this and most people in football know this.

Arsenal will be selling alot of players in the summer. Why? Because loanees + players at the club = biggest squad in the premier league. Vela and Bentner do not want to come back to your club. I don't know why but they don't probably because they know they are not good enough. Arshavin won't want to come back. Wenger and Arsenal want Squillaci, Almunia, chamakh out and Wenger would listen to offers for Diaby.

Liam Brady or Steve Bould will be Wengers number two

Definite Signings

Podolski
Vertonghen
Kalou - a certainty Wenger loves him and has approached him before

M'vila - is he better than song? NO. Period

Suarez - could be useful is Park goes

Dempsey - will be hard to get but I think Wenger can use Champions League football to lure him.

Arsenal will buy a keeper because more than likely Fabianksi will go.

Blackburns Hoilett - will more than likely go to Roma - comes across as a money following player

Miyachi/ Bartley will return.

Thoughts?

Believable14 Unbelievable11

Ok so u start of by saying " i know this" and end with "thoughts?"...effectively you dont knw anything and just want our opinions..?

MrD.

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont see kalou hes pants anyways
also kalou stated he wants chelsea stay couple weeks back i read on the metro

Agree0 Disagree0

No I know Liam Brady will be the number two Vertonghen and Podoslki are signed. and that Wenger will try to sign Kalou. the rest is my opinion

Agree0 Disagree0

Steve bould will be arsenal number 2 not liam brady.

Agree0 Disagree0

Steve Bould has already made the point that he's happy where he is at the moment with the Youth team...He won't be the number two.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good observation MrD.

Simply put - you are not certain at all. I am still not convinced at all by the Vertoghen rumours. Same can be said about M'Vila.

Are gunners suffering from Amnesia? This happens every summer and RARELY are the: Sun/telegraph/dailymail/tribalfootball/caughtoffside/....Javier Perez (although he shouldn't be considered a source)....right.

So if anything, let's keep our eye out for the type of players that Wenger may sign. If Sochoux go down, I think Wenger will have a look at Marvin and Ryan Boudarouz(?).

Also - the right midfielder at Lorient with 8-9 assists this season.

Billybob

Agree0 Disagree0

Fairly convincing until you suggest Wenger will listen to offers on diaby. Every player and wenger himself think diaby is superb.. however he has been consistently injured. No one is going offer close to wengers valuation of the player. So why would we be listening to offers?

CB

Agree0 Disagree0

Arsenal fans are so blinded. Yes, M'vila is better than Song. Song is not a defensive mid at all. He plays like he wants to be Fabregas. Get M'Vila at CDM and an attacking player more creative than Song and we would be an infitinely better side. That is a fact.

I like Song, but so people on this site over rate him ridiculously. I can think of so many more midfield players that can pick a pass like him that are so much more defensively solid.

Agree0 Disagree0

NO CHANCE on Brady and Bold unless Wenger extends his contract, - my guess it will be T Adams as number 2 next season

Thoughts are with the family and friends of Piermario Morosini.

The lad suffered a cardiac arrest in a serie B match today for Livorno, may not be a big team or well know player, but still deserves out thoughts.

I'd say this is rather realistic, perhaps an Ed could judge.

Podolski
another striker (maybe)
Belhanda
Vertonghen
Experienced GK

The only uncertantities being another striker and M'Vila.

Believable18 Unbelievable4

I'd definetely go for this

Greg

Agree0 Disagree0

What would your starting line-up be then?
Vertonghen, Podolski and Belhanda arent going to come to arsenal and just sit on the bench. Who would you take out of the starting line-up??

People are constantly saying that we need more and more players but currently we are the most in-form team in the league showing that we have a brilliant squad already.

Fair enough we need a few new players, but not necessarily ones for the starting line-up?

My starting team would be:

Shezza

Agree0 Disagree0

I would be pleased with this. Send miguel on loan.

Fabianski, alumnia, mannone out.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fabianski and Almunia are both available on free transfer at the end of the season. GoonerDan

Agree0 Disagree0

This maybe realistic
podolski
vertonghen
experienced goal keeper
cesc fabregas
eden hazard

Agree0 Disagree0

Belhanda said he isn't leaving in the summer.

Fully accept it was my mistake. The picture is of an arsenal fan whom RVP is good friends with, but the man in the middle was sitting with the City members. Out of politeness he didn't celebrate when AFC scored. However, it still irks me that Robin is having dinner with a his agency representative, and an AFC representative who is talking to City.

Row Z

Believable6 Unbelievable3

Its his mate...ffs...are you not got out with your mates if they dont support aresnal?? or work for another PL team??

...and for the record the guy is a huge aresnal fan...so get over it...

...also show RVP some damn respect this is a player that has led are team to where we are...and states that he has no respect for teams or player that are all money orientated...

...hate to have a go row z usually like ur posts but u r slating a loyal hardworking and dedicated player who has never disrispected the badge...

...when everyone was slatting walcott, what did he do he came out an supported him saying that he is improving and is a massive talent...

...has he done an ashley cole?? is he a nasri??

...el fenomeno

Agree0 Disagree0

You Do Realise He Has Contract With His Agent Who He Pays They Could Just Be Talking About There Relationship Or What He Wants In Summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not having a go at all at him, I've aknowledged my mistake, and I realize the man in the middle is an Arsenal fan/restaurant owner. I'd still rather not have Robin around his agent, but I'm having a go at all.

Row Z

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said el fenomeno
ES

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha 'i'd still rather not have robin around his agent' - what if his agent is trying to negotiate a deal to keep robin at arsenal ?

Your so short sighted and negative.

Agree0 Disagree0

To be fair it can be taken as both ways. They could be together to discuss his future at arsenal and a possible future contract or it could be they are there to discuss a possible move during the summer. Or they could just be close and out to dinner....

Robin is pictured having dinner with a man city board member (its on his twitter account). The man in the middle is the City man, and the one on the left is part of the agency that represents RVP. Robin better not sell out like this

Row Z

Believable5 Unbelievable21

Thats bs

Agree0 Disagree0

Actually he is the owner of the restaurant RVP is pictured in (Gilgamesh Camden Town). He is in fact a Arsenal fan who has a box at the Emirates. Do you really think RVP would put a picture up of himself with a Man City representative?

Agree0 Disagree0

No way is he anything to do with city. rvp wouldnt be that stupid or classless.

it's true.

Agree0 Disagree0

RVP wont leave unless it's to Barcelona. He has said Barca are the only other team he wants to play for. He would only leave if we weren't going to improve the squad which we are and also if Barca suddenly got lots of money which they don't as they are going to use their existing cash to buy either Thiago Silva or David Luiz. If they subsequently decided to buy RVP the only way they could afford that is to sell David Villa who is injured and also 31. So in other words not going to happen. GoonerDan
