Jim White (ssn) - "Arsenal will do more business & a big name will come aswell, I'm certain"

Believable26 Unbelievable7

Not worth listening to. He knows as little as the rest of us.

Agree0 Disagree0

Granted, he did say that. He also said that he was certain that Tottenham will make the Top 5 this season, and then when predicting his top five, he said:

1. United
2. Chelsea
3. City
4. Liverpool
5. Arsenal

Also, he predicted that we will come 5th and a rather weak United squad will win the league.

I like to think he's right about the transfer aspect of the game, though.

{Ed025's Note - sky presenters are just puppets ted, mind you, hayley Mcqueen is one of the cutest puppets iv ever seen.. :)

Im guessing Steve Clarke

Believable1 Unbelievable4

{Ed025's Note - neil lennon...just a guess..

I think ed might be right, but I think Steve Clarke is the better manager of the two.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i agree CS, so lets hope they get lennon hey.. :)

Just a quick thought. With LVG looking to play a three man back line with two "flank" players I'd imagine United will look to strike a deal for Seamus Coleman in the future (obviously not this summer) he's probably the most equipt player to take on that role in the Premiership.

Hopefully by then though LVG will have fallen flat on his fergie red face! :P

Believable1 Unbelievable5

{Ed025's Note - coleman has just signed a 5 yr deal sheeny, and is at everton for the long run mate..

Hope you're right ed, he's a class act

Agree0 Disagree0

I admire both him and Baines, so easy to chase both easy money and potentially easier medals but put loyalty ahead of both.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Everton is actually a good club to be at. Quite admire them. Perhaps they remind me of arsenal. Martinez I think plays good football. And like us
They're patient with their managers. Would say we both do things the right way

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - both proper clubs in my eyes D16..its a pity there are not more like us mate..

Unfortunately we all know that a 5 year contract doesn't mean a player will stay. More that they command a higher fee if they do leave.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - fair point mate..

Apparently Arsene Wenger was looking at an Italian guy called Simone del Nero?!

Believable14 Unbelievable14

Yeah, apparently one of the back room staff told him Nero better than Costa, and it wouldn't cost him Star Bucks! :-)

*Badoom tsh* Here all week? 😜

Can an Ed please tell me we aren't looking to sign Mbia? That would deflate all the excitement this window has built up with me!

Believable1 Unbelievable17

{Ed025's Note - i cant mate.....but im with you outback, it would be a backward step..

What surprises me is the fact that almost every defensive midfielder in our team is on the last year of his contract, surely we should be targeting a quality player.

at the same time if we cannot get the player we want for a reasonable price, there is no point throwing money thinking it will solve the crisis.

mbia is low risk.

khedira would be ideal, as will lars bender who maybe likely to join us next summer.

while I think carvalho for 24 mill is already over priced and for the fee sporting want, massively over priced.

rather save that amount and target genuine world class players.

Agree1 Disagree0

I wouldn't mind mbia

Free agent, made the Europa league team of the year last season and very comfortable, if not better playing cb.

28 years of age in his prime, hugely experienced and would be a great squad player for sub/rotation.

For some people players are only judged by their fee's and the prestige of the club they play for :S

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah with Ulster on this. Actually would make some sense as can cover many positions. I would take this but ONLY if it meant we could get a world class forward. I don't think we can afford a world class forward and world class DM but one is needed.

Just bumped in to Glen Whelan and his agent at Shendish Manor. Hos agent let it slip he's here for talks with Wenger. Forget Khadira or Carvalho. It looks like it might be Whelan

Believable13 Unbelievable42

{Ed025's Note - worst rumour iv ever heard!

Ed025 don't shoot the messenger! :-)

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - sometimes the messenger deserves to be shot johnny, and this is one of them times mate.. :)

Oops, another village missing an person I see!

Agree0 Disagree0

Which goes to show you can fool some of the people some of the people all of the time. 99.9% of Agents are full of crap, the other .1% say they aren't but they're full of crap! 87.7 % of stats (and attendance figures) are invented

Not a bad golf course at Shendish - well back half - front half is too easy

Agree0 Disagree0
