Denilson headed back to his old club, Sao Paolo on a 1 year loan. Numerous outlets in S. America reporting this & backed up by local Arsenal bloggers there.

Hello Ed would Cesc be cup tied if he played in the Champions League Qualifier cheers {Ed002's Note - Not if Arsenal get knocked out and they are completed by August 31. If Arsenal get through and he moves to Barcelona then yes.}

Believable7 Unbelievable5

Ed (and everyone else) what are your opinions on wenger forcing Nasri to stay and taking the risk of letting go on free next season. Is a new contract round the corner, does he want to wait to see what singings we make or how we start our season? {Ed002's Note - I suspect if Fabregas goes and NAsri is offered a new deal and teh Captain's armband everyone will be happy. If not, then he has to be moved on for the best price possible.}

Believable3 Unbelievable7

I agree somewhat with what Ed002 is saying about Nasri waiting to see if Cesc is sold, allowing him to play in his preferred position, before agreeing a new deal. I strongly hope Wenger isn't planning on offering him the armband though, Van Persie or Vermaelen would be my choice for next captain.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah, van Persie would be me first choice then Vermaelen, even then I don't think I would consider Nasri for captaincy because of how he has failed to step up and say he is loyal to Arsenal.

I would feel like the team was being centred around one player a bit too much, like Henry in his last year at Arsenal and Nasri hasn't anywhere near earnt the respect I have for a player like Henry.

Agree0 Disagree0

I totally agree about vermaellan being captain. In his first season he showed grit and determination that most our players lack

Agree0 Disagree0

Despite wengers bold claims i honestly cant see him and a ruthless business man like stan kroenke letting nasri go for free next season.if nasri wont sign the deal then i fully expect he will be gone by the start of the season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't think the center midfield postion matters in keeping him at arsenal if he moves to city they play with the 3 holding midfielders de jong barry and toure so he would have to play out wide there to, think the fact he as apparently been offered 160 000 pound a week that's made him change his mind which postion he plays he won't sign a new contract that's for sure so it sell for as much as possible or see him sign a pre contract somewhere else in january

Agree0 Disagree0

If the window slams shut and Nasri is still at Arsenal then I feel he owes it to the club to sign a new contract, not necessarily so that he can stay at Arsenal beyond his last year but so that Arsenal can receive a transfer fee if/when he exits. if he left for free it would really feel like he's walking out with two fingers up at the club.
I'm pretty certain he will sign a new contract anyway. look at this way. Arsenal won't allow him to move so if he plans to leave next summer on a free transfer then he will have to remain on his current wages for an entire year when there's a contract offer sitting there waiting for him to sign that will more than double his wages. why play for an entire year on half the wages the club are willing to give you? then there's the agent's cut also. we all know agents get their cut from transfer fees. if Samir goes on a free next summer then his agent is losing out on a lot of money however if he signs a new contract then when Arsenal sell him next summer for a huge transfer fee (if Samir wants out) then the agent will get his windfall. if Samir hasn't signed a new contract by the end of the window then I'm pretty certain his agent will be pushing him to do so very soon after. expect a contract with escape clauses added into it such as Samir being allowed to leave if Arsenal fail to win any silverware or struggle to compete for the title again.

Believable8 Unbelievable9

Ed if you have a soft spot for chelsea, you aint no gooner.

A GOONER {Ed001's Note - since when did Ed002 claim to be a gooner? There are Arsenal eds but myself and 002 are not amongst them and only edit to cover their absences.}

iv recently heard that there are 3 players that will be coming in by the end of the transfer window, 1 CB, 1 CDM, 1 AM/ST.
there have been many links for these positions and from what i heard the favourites seem to be- CB: jorgensen (spelling)
CDM: vidal(very versatile)
AM/ST: mata

however these are unlikely to happen any time soon, and will most likely happen after the sales of bendtner, almunia, denilson, squallacci and fabregas(as long as barca pay 35mil+)
if fabregas does leave expect arsenal to go for benzema towards the end of the window.

Believable13 Unbelievable11

Frimpong/ramsey is better

Agree0 Disagree0

You can't honestly believe Ramsey and Frimpong are currently better than Vidal. Frimpong doesn't even have a single EPL appearance. He's quite good in attack while maintaining defensive responsibilities better than Song currently does.If/when Cesc does go, I'd love him as a replacement.

Agree0 Disagree0

Frimpong is expected to go out on loan n ramsey will share a role with song n wilshere so a fourth will be needed 2 cover n compete especially with song out for the ACON.

Agree0 Disagree0

I believe Cameroon are unlikely to qualify for the ACON but its still clear we need another DM as cover/competition for Song.

arsenal should buy micha richards would be a great signing but wenger just wants the french players and youth that cant win CUPS.

Believable18 Unbelievable17

Why would city want to sell us Richards?

Agree0 Disagree0

To a point I understand what your saying... but with arsenals resources why pay 20 odd mil on a hyped up english player when you can get the same player from abroad for half the price.

Agree0 Disagree0

We had the chance to get him but we have the best rb in the EPL and jenkison

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would we need richards when we have samba. He would rather be first choice than decent backup

Agree0 Disagree0

City rejected 20m from Liverpool in Jan. So with you 20mil budget you will have to sell more players to even stand a chance

Agree0 Disagree0

Richards is too small for central defence...we need a 6" 3....or 6"4 c.b..i still question songs abilty to protect the defence, when do you see him clearing his lines from corners and free kicks the way viera did.He also lacks drive from midfield aswell.Buy a big commanding central defender or even two that would allow us to put one of our three ball playing c.bs into midfield (for games like stoke or Bolton away)varmealen, Koscielny or djourou......particularly VERMAELEN who surged from defence against villa the last home game of the season.Before you laugh, petit was a defender for Monaco before he came to us.WHAT DO YOU THINK ED. {Ed001's Note - Richards is excellent in the air, I don't see his height as a problem.}

So benzema, cahill and jorgenson are possible's- either side of 50/50 -the rest no chance by the looks

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope we buy a cb like samba or mertesacker, benzema, and juan mata. and we should sell fab, bentner, almunia, squil, and denilson.

Ed were not going to get a centre half are we. {Ed002's Note - I think Arsenal will get a CB.}

Believable6 Unbelievable12

Wenger admitted in his latest interview he still needs to strengthen defensively. and he said its a set pieces which cost us.

which sure points his comments at cahill or samba?

Which CB(s) do you think we'll sign ed? {Ed002's Note - I think Cahill would be a good option - better than Samba.}

Hi ed...am saquib....can u plz tell me what r the influences of barca players comments on cesc and arsenal? And now that madrid has officially announced they r in hunt for another striker, shall we xpect benzema to come close to us? And plz also let me know whats wengers position in subotic deal? Thank u very much...hope u reply. ...t.c., {Ed002's Note - The influence of anything said by Barcelona players is insignificant to Arsenal. Benzema may be used as part of a deal for Tevez or may be sold. I don't know of any Subotic deal for Arsenal.}

AW is looking to complete a double signing from wolves by the end of next week. Doyle and Hunt - combined fee of £12million. From a good source in the midlands.

Believable6 Unbelievable28

I don't think this will happen.you can have hunt by all means but doyle is staying put.ps believe me you don't want hunt total waste of space.seen better at the local park.

Agree0 Disagree0

Doyle and Hunt £12m
Haaaaaa Haaaaaa Haaa Haaa Ha Ha.

Agree0 Disagree0

IF Wenger is looking at a wolves player it should be Jarvis. Lets hope there is nothing in Doyle or Hunt.

Agree0 Disagree0

Clearly a spurs fan who wrote this. shocked that you actually published it ed, Ive had more realistic rumours denied posting..

Agree0 Disagree0

Hunt im better than that nomad and im 17stone

Agree0 Disagree0

Hunt is a decent player, not Arsenal quality though... wouldn't mind Doyley, the boy can score, prehaps with a higher quality of team mate he could flourish?

Agree0 Disagree0

All these people slagging hunt off, your all mad. He is a good player who will work his socks off for you for 90mins plus. You obviously not football fans

Agree0 Disagree0

Doyle is a class player we would be mad to sell him.as for hunt i can't see why we (wolves)bought him in the first place other than mick love his irish....

Ins:
Jenkinson (done)
Gervinho (done)
Samba
Benzema
Kaka

Outs:
Fabregas
Nasri
Almunia
Denilson
Bendtner
Eboue

Believable14 Unbelievable28

Kaka? Maybe Mata and Gourcuff

Agree0 Disagree0

Kaka would make no sense for us. Just spent a lot of last season out injured and is on massive wages at Real I'm sure. Not to mention they'd probably expect a rather large transfer fee considering they spent something like 55m euros on him just 2 years ago.

Agree0 Disagree0

Na not kaka, wouldnt be surprised if city made a bid for him though...

Agree0 Disagree0

Take Nasri, Kaka and Eboue out of the post and it would be a little more believable

Agree0 Disagree0

If arsenal this year play there cards right they could have a chance i would love to see Samba Benzema but with mata and Gourcuff and sell all them players part from nasri and when you look at what the line up could be mata walcott nasri (in his fav pos) gourcuff wilshire that would be an amazing mid with van persie and gen up front i also heard that Theo has been told he will get more chances as a striker this year so maybe with the likes of nasri mata and that looking at the walcott speed on the last man would be crazy

I do check this website fairly regularly and occasionally post in the banter section. I have no motivation to mislead anyone or give you BS.

OK- I met with a friend yesterday, who is a friend with someone who is an arsenal back room staff member- who said that arsenal are looking at few players based in Germany. He mentioned a young defender called hammel or humel from Dortmund ? tbh I'm not that familiar with the German league, so only know the more well known players. Note: he did say 'looking at', so I'm not saying they have even made a bid, let alone have signed him.

Believable13 Unbelievable20

If you take the time to go on this site then I am dam sure that you would of worked out whether he said hammel or humel.

Your talking complete BS

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh I forgot to ask- does anyone know who this player might be or know anything about him ? Cheers

Agree0 Disagree0

Its probably Mats Hummels of Borussia Dortmund. Jurgen Klop just said today that he is ready to let Bayern have him, but after 10 years and for 45 mil euro...

Agree0 Disagree0

When i'm not familiar with something, I look it up. It wouldn't have taken you long to find the guy is called Mats Hummels. This small attention to detail, for me, would have made your rumour so much better.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's Mats Hummels mate, he's very good indeed. Honestly can't see him leaving this year, Dortmund have Champs Lge to look forward to. And he sure ain't gonna be cheap either, maybe too much for our Arsene to part with given that he ain't French.

Shauno

Agree0 Disagree0

I wasn't sure of the name, or how it was spelt- I guess I could've looked it up or something, sorry. My friend isn't a fan, just likes football upto a point. He trained with the arsenal staff member in their perspective profession. I have no reason to BS, just thought I'd share what I heard with my fellow gooners- but hey no problem if I hear something in the future I will keep to myself.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dnt stop posting bcoz ov a couple ov mugs, real gooners r glad ov any info as it's gettin very frustrating

Thanks to the unrespectful comments of Xavi any chance of Fabregas leaving for Barcelona this summer is crushed.

Believable14 Unbelievable13

Unless they stump-up £40M. of course.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's "disrespectful" you Spud, and if you seriosuly believe that some off the cuff comment from a player is going to influence a business deal valued in the region of 50,000,000 Euros (transfer fee + wages, etc) then my poor deluded fellow Arsenal supporter you are more foolish than a simple grammatical eroor suggests......If all parties accept and/or want it to happen, then Mr Fabregas will take his empoyable skills to a new employer; what Xavi, Ineista or even the self appointed Lord God Rupert Murdoch himself says or thinks, it will happen.

Agree0 Disagree0

Barca wont pay up because cesc can buy himself out his contract if he wanted to for around 28m... they would then give him it back as a sign on fee.. but as far as im aware cesc wouldnt disrespect the club like that.. who knows

Agree0 Disagree0

When mocking grammatical errors, you should try and spell "eroors" correctly to ensure you don't look like a tw*t.

Agree0 Disagree0

The word your looking for is disrespectful, unrespectful is not a word and the sentence makes no sense because Fabregas has confirmed his desire to play for Barcelona
