If we don't get Lemar, which looks likely, we should switch our immediate attention to Mahrez.
He has agreed to join Roma, but only if Arsenal don't come in for him.
I appreciate this could all depend on Sanchez's decision, but we could end up losing out unless we pull our finger out.

It's almost worth trying to sell Sanchez abroad if Wenger knows he's not signing. A lot can change during the season but if we keep him and he doesn't sign. He will be a city player following year and my god what a squad they will have.

The way I see it is yes Alexis is phenomenal, but he doesn't want to be here. For all his attributes being professional is not his strong point, at times he is a stroppy teenager who hasn't got his own way! Now let's say we keep him things aren't going great do you really believe he is going to give his best for us? I don't.
He will become disruptive and a complete pain in the arse! And all this will happen at a crucial point in our season.
Sell him now let city, Bayern whoever take the diva and move on invest the money into lemar and mahrez ot whoever the club has planned. Let's move on and concentrate on the season ahead. The club have went above and beyond in regards to his package and he turned us down shows the character of a guy who's career we saved after he failed at a Barca.

Although I don't personally see why he rates man city so highly. Pep rotates regularly so I can imagine sanch will love that, being on the bench every 5th week.
I also think man city really didn't get to grips with peps complicated roles for players last year. They don't come across as a team like juve, where a bunch of nutters want to win at all costs. It's more win through innovation I. m. o at man city. Outsmart the opponent.
Nothing wrong with that at all, but given Sanchez moans about our mentality, like to carry the ball and is very fluid in his position, i struggle to see who bar kompany has what he's after in manchester.
Bayern just makes more sense for him to me.

Don't listen to the paper talk. Wengers not one to keep players against there will. If Sanchez wants to go. Arsene will sell him. I don't think he'd sell him to a rival not without a world class replacement and Lamer isn't that.

Ed have you heard anything more reliable than paper talk regarding Van Dijk? Any gossip of CB's leaving the club? I can't begin to believe there's any truth in this unless 1 or 2 are moving on.

Yeah, I believe he is an upgrade for the starting XI for sure. However to have a target man with his arial presence and that option off the bench will be lost. I think Welbz is better running on to the ball and when played as target takes to long to get his shot off, in comparison to Giroud.

Thanks Ed! Do you know of any links to a strong DM? I personally feel that we need a strong solid player in the middle of the field. This will allow Ramsey and Xhaka to be more attacking minded and really play to their strengths! Its another position we have needed to fill for years. Viera has never been replaced.

You can see by giroud body language he is leaving had a chances to pass to lava today and didn't and when lacca went to celebrate with giroud he just walked away.

It's all in the hips Stephen👍🏻 That was a bloody good pick up mate. It was obvious that giroud hates lacazette for coming to the Arsenal. If you looked carefully enough at the bench when lacazette was taken off you could see him pulling petals from a daisy and if I'm not mistaken he was muttering the words he loves me he loves me not he loves me 🙄.

Per retires next year and his use this year will probably be cup matches or Europa working with the young players. Gabriel is still injured, when Kos isn't playing our defense is shaky, and Holding is great but needs more time. During the Australian tour Elneny was deployed as CB but that can't be a long term solution.
