Ed I'm sure at this point arsenal would have narrowed down certain targets to scout for January.
Have you heard, received, know of any information regarding who arsenal are looking at more closely?
Not asking who you think they will sign, but who arsenal may be looking to go for in January.
Lots of rumours going round at this time so it's never known what's the truth.
Would love to see both benzema and griezman to come in, exactly what we need.
Thanks

{Ed002's Note - There is some interest in Lavezzi from several clubs including Zenit, Spurs, Inter and AC Milan. I think it might simply end there with "interest" unless quite a significant offer is made. Perhaps next summer will be a time to move.

Although Arsenal and Roma do maintain an interest in Adil Rami, he will make a January loan move to AC Milan which will likely become permanent in the summer.

There is very real interest from Arsenal in Benzema. There is interest in Draxler but I don't see a move happening - at least not in January. Mitroglou has attracted a lot of interest with Mainz, Inter and Dortmund declaring an interest in the player. Certainly Arsenal has had the player scouted and I suspect others have done the same. Cabella, Abel Hernandez, Gonalons are on the list of admired players. Arsenal spoke with Gundogan's agent but made no approach to Dortmund. Finally, Konoplyanka has been subject to two significant offers this past summer - from Galatasaray and Zenit - both of which have been turned down. I expect to see Arsenal make a bid in January, and possibly Manchester United, Schalke and Dortmund to look to the player.}

Ed, what's with the interest in Abel Hernandez? I've heard he's pretty poor or does wenger see his as a future prospect?

{Ed002's Note - Roma has a sustained interest in Hernandez. Napoli, Arsenal and Dortmund have enquired in recent weeks and been told he is not available.}

Sorry ed not being rude or anything, but you mentioned all this before. I was hoping you could name players who arsenal may have recently started to scout more seriously. someone who arsenal seriously consider to go for in January. Thanks

{Ed002's Note - You need to read the posts - anything I am aware of I have mentioned.}

Don't see how the lavezzi rumour is relevant to us At all

Sorry ed, I was unclear. Does wenger see hernandez as a player who's going to be playing a lot of first team football or is he just going to be cover for giroud? I know goal to game ratios are misleading, but his record in the serie a isn't anything to shout about and he doesn't sem like a player who would thrive in the pl. Once again, sorry, i'm just going off of goal to game ratios.

{Ed002's Note - I was explaining the interest and I explained the response - I really don't know AW's thought processes.}

Thanks ed, I know you're giving us all you know and I appreciate it

Hello fellow gooners, Today I am hearing from legitimate sources that a bid was made for Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke. However the bid was immediately rejected and left Paul Lambert very angry over the 'timing' of the bid and also the amount that was involved. I am not coming on here and declaring he will sign as another bid may not be made and for me he would not be the an ideal front man we are looking for anyway.

Like I said a legitimate source but I am too left with questions over this one for example why Benteke when his form has been appalling in recent weeks? Also he's too similar to Giroud! However there's no doubting on his day he is one of the worlds best at what he does.

I think people need to realise that players like Benteke and Giroud completely suit and compliment our style of play, they have the ability to hold up the ball and lay it off to one of our many gifted midfielders. They both have the ability to pick a good pass, win headers, and score goals. Simple blud!

I've also heard this. I don't know why so many people put this as "unbelievable". He would be a great signing to compliment our striking force. Plus he's only 23 :D

Willesden is it not better to have a variety of different strikes available so don't see what your point is
